Sunken fontanel?

Probably nothing. A sunken fontanelle can sometimes be a sign of dehydration in babies, although if your baby is feeding well and having lots of wet nappies then I don't think this would be the case.

I think it's odd that your GP would send you in to hospital just for a sunken fontanelle. Are there any other problems?

I was thinking dehydration as well... easy to happen over summer... how sunken is it? Did you notice it before the GP said anything?

Yes, we have noticed it weeks ago, but assumed it was because of the hot weather or because he has such a large one that it just sinks in more (less to support the skin underneath).

He has breastmilk caused janudice and reflux.

Its sinks in about - i dunno, say 3 -4 mm? Its not always obvious, such as if he is lying down (GP said thats cause of the pressure).
