Some bicarb in the bath might help soothe the area a little. If she doesn't take to the cranberry juice, blueberries and cherries are also beneficial for UTIs (blueberries work in a similar way to cranberries), so you could mix the cranberry juice with sweeter/milder berries or just try blueberry juice straight up.
A squeeze bottle of warm water to squeeze over her bits while she wees might help the sting factor. Or encourage her to wee in the shower or bath if you think she is holding on.
HotI is right. This is what I had to do for 4 weeks after tearing when giving birth to DS1 (no one told me about ural).
It doesn't have to be hot or even warm water. Just keep a bottle filled up next to the loo and show her how to squirt it when she's doing a wee. It dilutes the acidity of the urine and makes is soooo much less painful
Tried to get her to pee in the shower last night ( i too remember how good that felt after having a bub hahahaha) but nope wouldn't work.
This morning i gave her, her antibiotics and panadol..... waiting for the panadol to "kick in" and managed to get her to pee after 30mins of tears she finally pee'd and it didn't hurt her much..... hoping that it is getting better and that it wasn't just the panadol?!
Either way im off to the shops this morning to pick up a few things that everyone has suggested
Thank you all heaps for the help and advice!
Will let you know how the urine test results go when i know
