Nelle - I might have to start the Wannabees knitting thread - no talent, no tools, no nothing

Jols - what does Sophie do, drink the pool?

Jodi - how's the bear-bottoms working for you? Is that what you had Emily in last night?

Gigi - you'll be a WONDERFUL support person!! Ooooh, how exciting!

FJ - I got fluffies today! Yay - they're gorgeous! Haven't tried them on yet!

Well, we had a first last night - leaky night nappy, got to experience the joy of changing sheets and screaming hungry dripping baby in the dark at 4:30 in the morning. The WC just isn't working for E atm unfortunately, might have to offload it. Or save it for when he's a bit bigger.

WOHB: just up from a nap, so BumG but not for long...

Emily had a maz fleece on, and Nina had a tots bots on. I'd never tried anything overnight except a wool cover, and both girls had NO LEAKS! I was really impressed. And Nina slept 14 hours.

Gotta love those 4.30a, changes hey!

WEll ashley had wicking again last night in her BBB and wool cover - and i evenmanaged to stretch it so i have a great rise over the nappy!! but her shirt and pants must have gotten tucked in somehow! doh!!!!

Iam up to the 11th row knitting my shorties! very impreseed with myself. ALthough need to learn how to fix the few holes (that were from dropped stitiches lol)... for a first attempt as long as it is functional i am happy... doesnt need to be cosmetically pleasing as it is fo rmy own benefit anyhow!
All done in stocking stitch though (FJ.. i tried and tried but couldnt alternate... had to do 1 row of each now for the whole thing!)

    Katones i have about
    7 PUL BBH small cover
5 various covers... eenie designs, fluffies etc and 3 wool BBH in small. then the mediums and large for later!

For all those stalking Little squirts on ebay.. there is a Bum Genius Nappy Squirt on there going cheap... not sure what they are like though. Just do a search for the above i am sure it will show up

    WOHB - BBB +PUL

I got my first ever Fluffy Mail today!(Bought all my others at the expo)

So exciting! DH was laughing at me - he just doesn't get it....

I was parcel from Baby Beehinds:

4 BBB (2 blue, 2 purple) - 2 for me, and 2 for presents to new mums
2 sm PUL covers (1 green, 1 purple) - presents to go with the BBB to the new mums
    1 lrg PUL cover (purple)
2 lrg wool covers (1 blue, 1 purple)
    and a large purple magicall

I didn't realise how much purple I had ordered until I took it out of the pack...DH said something about me being frustrated somehow LOL

I could have sworn that I had also ordered 4 bamboo night boosters too, and had to get my email order receipt thingy open to tell me that I didn't.....must have accidently closed the window (we have major internet issues here - sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't) that had the checkout that I ordered it in, and then forget to put them back in again when I re-did my order...D'oh!

Do I need to lanolise the BB wool covers before I use them for the first time? I thought maybe I read somewhere in one of these threads that you don't bother doing the BB woolies, but do you do it once, and then never again? Or just never at all?

Oh, and I know they reckon to wash every 2 days, but is it uber important? We use MCN at the moment for 5 days of the week, so in that time do I have to do 3 washes, or can I do one with 2 days of nappies, and one with 3? Just that washing 1 days worth seems like a waste of water, and time etc...but can do it if it really is necessary for the nappies...

DH is a funny one - DD had a BBB and BB PUL cover on while she had her nap, and he was the one that got her up when she woke up, and he hasn't really done much with the BBB, just the AIO and pockets that we have, so he undid the cover, and then called for me to come and help him coz he didn't know what to do....he even asked if he has to change her at all, of if she was still good to go! And it was an easy peasy change - she was just wet, how hard can that be to change?

WOHB - sposie, DH took her to the shop, so I told him I would let him use a sposie while they were out, coz he knows what he is doing with them...

DH took DD so I could have some peace to ring a man about a job, and he isn't answering the phone anyway! Its always the way!

PP - hope they are dry!!!!

Ali - I didn't lanolise the BB wool cover when I first got it, just used it until it smelt a bit too much like wee for my DH to put up with (he has a sensitive nose - but I would say that I kept it for about a month without washing). I didn't use it every night though, but most nights. And I hung it up on the curtain rod (yes I know, I am strange) so it would get an airing each day so it wouldn't smell as wee like.

So its back in the cupboard now that I am using longies (I just prefer the longies over the BB wool covers, anyone else find that?) but once all my longies smell too much like wee wee, then I'll give them a wash and lanolise and then start using my BB ones. I just rotate them like that.
Did that answer your question? I'm very tired, so probably babbling..
