PP - that looks WICKED! Well done!!!!! Give yourself some chocolate for a job well done

Melham - yup I think we definitely need to all meet up again when Ange is up here.

Ange, are you going to be around Brissie at all, or up here on the Coast? Depends on where it is for me of course, I'm not supposed to drive for another 5 weeks, but I can try to wrangle a lift out of a family member if its pretty close to the coast!!!
(Or I bring my mum with me - yay what fun.. lol)

Hi Snowy FJ - the pinnies look great! and the photos of Evan's 6th birthday are great too. Yes, your 27 week belly is very gorgeous, growing beautifully!

Sarah - need more info to go on, an ebay item number would help.

Melham - relieved to hear your beautiful baby is not perfect, that heavy mantle has been taken off her little shoulders (all judged by pooping - it's classic!!).

Maz - congrats on winning this month's photo comp - it really is such a cool photo. I'm entrigued you want to buy a LS - i thought you were off that idea cos of Wilhelm? What has changed? (and made you come over to The Dark Side!!!! LOL).

all the discussion about flanny flats, i flopped at flats after one week of trying.

we found bamboo foldups much easier, much trimmer and more absorbent - plus i could actually get a nb sized cover over it, achieved LEG SEAL on my chicken legged bubba and therefore, we were leakproof from then on in.

Bamboo foldups are simple for a nb, just two bits of bamboo fleece or bamboo terry, 30 x 30cm, overlock the four sides - that's it. Fold the square in three, like a pad. Put that in the nb sized cover. Lay in a microfleece liner - ADD BABY ha ha.
Seriously, very easy - and trim under onesies etc.

If you are not a sewer or just too darn tired from being a new mum, you can buy them at baby beehinds, they call them bamboo foldups.
The lush prefolds at the Mazalicious store are lovely too, have a panel of minky in the middle bit.

WOTBB: bits for bots hemp pocket Sweetdreams, stuffed with bamboo trifold, bear bottoms fleece cover over it
(I got this BEFORE i found out bits for bots made the MM fleece pockets, if i had my time over again , , , , ).

Lol Sez, last time I saw Sal, her bump did't look that big to me, and she had Maddison the next day! :P
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.

Meetup at Sam's sounds fun, Tuesdays aren't great for me, and Monday 18th isn't great, but try me any other day.

I am thinking me might just be able to narrowly avoid sposies if I get my washing groove on tomorrow, and put the nappies on the bottom rung right over the ducted vents. Fingers crossed.

Sarah, it's really hard to know if they're good just from the description. Can you contact the seller somehow and ask if you can just buy one nappy to try? That way you aren't too inconvenienced if the nappy doesn't work for you.

    Hi girls

Just had to post about the EBAY nappies

Sarah - I would recommend against them....I bought a dozen of her fitted nappies (they are also still listed on ebay) and they were really bad...like I dont use them bad (I even use the BigW ones I have) I havent tried her pocket nappies, but the other ones were a really bad fit, made from cheap and inappropriate material and quite frankly, overpriced. They were also not absorbant at all. So my advice would be steer slear. But like I said, I havent tried her pockets, maybe getting one like nelle said would be advisable HTH

Well we are just about packed for melbourne, plane leave at 6.25am tomorrow, so fingers crossed my sick little bubba will survive the plane trip alright...Have to take her to the doctors in melbourne tomorrow though, she cant see mum sick, mum might catch it too and that would be bad

Anyway, am taking all my IB's and AIOs see how we go....will prolly end up using sposies a lot of the time though...not sure yet.

Will try and keep up though...you girls are helping take my mind off things!! Thanks for allyour support too girl...I really appreciate it.

WOHB: BumG...trying to get her off to slee not going well! lol

Saram Excuse me but what do they think sposies are? Maybe they need to look at the cost per nappy change! That is ridiculous!!

Fluffiness should be here this week!!! Yay! Just in time for my car to break down More money down the drain

WOSB: Wriggleybumz night nappy with Nessa cover
WOEB: Nic Naps Nights with cotton prefolds instead of boosters I am about to buy some bamboo foldups from CT as soon as we have money again.

Alexis - I hope your trip goes as well as can be expected. (And don't feel guilty if you use lots of sposies.. we understand )

Sarah - yeah I looked at those nappies on ebay when I was first spending up big... but something inside warned me against them, so I never purchased any. Dunno why though really!!!! I'd try to buy one off them like the other girls suggested...

    Off to bed now...

WOH(red)BN: sposie and a bucket of goo. We had 5 (count them) teething poos today, the last one was lethal.

Sarah - Okay, I can't figure out how to go directly to item number, BUT if they're being sold by a marian or something and they're called ecobubs I advised highly against them. I have some fitteds called ecobubs and I could quote limey's post.

    Limey - big sweetie.

I think you really need to know your fabrics well and be quite experienced, in knowing what questions to ask a seller, to have a hope of buying MCN on ebay (without it turning bad on you). It really is BUYER BEWARE.

I've seen MCN on ebay with really vague descriptions, not enough to gauge anything. I've seen other entries where if you read the fine print, the entire nappy is made of cotton, no hemp, bamboo etc. I'm sure, amongst the dodgies, there are some good ones too, but i think there is quite a bit of potential, esp for newbies, to buy a lemon. And the only thing worse than buying a lemon, is buying a dozen lemons at once.

Cookie - i thought Ecobubs were the washable wool pockets from NZ, sold at places like DarlingsDownunder and Nurture Nappies? So many nappy brand names are awfully similar, it's hard to keep them separate in your head. Like the amount of times people get Cute Tooshies - and Cushie Tushies - mixed up for example.

Safe travels Limey, thinking of you hon.
