As long as it is clean and dry it should be fine. I am getting another denim one soon, when Shell gets through the issues we have had with bamboo getting stuck at customs.

Maz .........let me know when you list em
Hi gals! oh all this talk about ittis is so tempting!
Melham - def call them especially if it was us (ie nappybucket as we have had some switch over issues) Most online stores have a policies page. Our used to be that if it was sent via Aus post we would attempt to track it down via AP however if it couldn't be found then no compensation would be given (we had to do this after a spate of undelivered parcels and I think we got a little scammed by people repoting unarrived items when they had received them:-(
Alioops - woohoo on becoming a demonstrator! Hope it all goes well for you.
Beatrix - would love the discount codes if you could pm me :-)
MAZ - Have a look on Oz baby at what Bettle bum nappies have up on preview
just a quickie if your nappies get rained on do you rewash or just let them dry again???
wohb - coloured flat and cutie cover
From experience, when they get rained on they end up drying softer, so it can be a blessing in disguise. Well, I think that's what made them softer anyway. :P I wouldn't rewash them. (I've got too much washing piled up to even contemplate rewashing!)
Wow, those Beetlebums are spesh. I also imagine they'll be way beyond my budget, so I won't look at them again. :P
oh i'm so glad u said that! dp is a bit of a rewash freak (wont wear clothes if he knows theyve been rained on) i have heaps of washing too waaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Oh no way do I re-wash!! I would NEVER have any nappies dry if I let rained on nappies bother me!!
nope no rewashing here!!

I am SO HOPING that i dont feel as bad as i do today (headaches, muscle pains, snotty and sore throat) on friday as we have a wedding to attend. It is is DH's and our 2nd baby free night in 14 months! we are really looking forward to it! but i dont wan to feel like this
I got my replaement bbh wool covers today - in natural - they r definatelt bigger than my other large onews so i hope that they work better overnight
still no confirmation of postage from IB (only payment confirmation) and awaiting another bbh and bg fluffy mail ... thinking they might all be next week as this week is almost over.
as for the line dry and rain... mmmm i would wash again if it was stormy but not if i sunny shower... not sure why lol
Rain is cleaner water than the water that comes from the tap. All leaving washing in the rain does is give an extra rinse. Nelle it would have made your nappies softer because there is no cholrine or other chemicals in it.
Yep, even though my tank water isoften stained by the gum leaves & looks yuk, its be the prefered drink if it was that or town water.
YAY My LJ rainbow longies are being replaced BUT I also get to keep them! so a free pair of LJ in the mail for me! Big thumbs up for the customer care at Booroi Essentials!
thats awesome FJ!!!
ness i saw david straussmen a few years (about 10) ago! even bought Ted.e.bear!!
FJ that IS grouse customer service!!
Have fun tonight Ness!
Can't wait to get my Ittis? When did we order them again? Monday? I suppose tomorrow or Friday's more realistic, isn't it..:P
I found Riv's brown BerryPlush! It was clean, but in our dirty washing basket in our bedroom. Guess Riv saw me putting things in there and decided his nappy belonged there too. Not a bad thing to learn I suppose! :D So only that brown Itti to find...
He's got his Lime D'Lish on, and I really like it. Might order another. Can someone PM my the Itti discount code? (I'll just keep asking til someone does :P)
WORB: Lime D'Lish
WOSB: Cotton tots bots.
Hi everyone,
I've been reading all your posts and getting wiser as to all the different systems that you use and how they work.
I was wondering what the hell longies were for lol that you were all going on about so I googled and got wiser. I think they are really cute.
I tried to start knitting some but I am a terrible knitter, I was chatting to one of my good friends down south about it, she knows how terrible I am she tried to teach me hehe.
Anyway she is going to have a go at knitting some for me so that's pretty exciting.
Won't be long now until I start building up my stash.
I think I know what I am going to get to start with, once I make a list I'll post it to get your feedback before I spend the $$.
I can see myself spending so much on these things.
..Laura
Got my D'lishes today, Maddi is going stand out this summer in her IB's they are so bright & cheerful looking!

Have fun tonight Ness.

Also waiting on a pair of longies from Ewe booty (custom) for Vy.

Hey musically minded MCN ladies LOL. I can't play piano, BUT in the town newsletter someone is giving an upright away FTGH. You reckon I should call? The boys would love it & I would happily plonk on it. Only thing is, I would need to collect it. I would have to see if my parents could help with the ute.
Are they really heavy? Are they expensive to tune etc? Being FTGH I imagine it would need some love.
Ok, nappy related - I ordered some sheepish grins which will come with my LJ longies. She is going to surprise me with what she sends.
I had 10 meters of bamboo & I think have like 2 meters left! I know I sold on 4 of it but far out I went thought it fast!
Dunno if my 3 month nappy/materials ban will see still be in place.. How can I manage 3 months if I run out of materials to make things to keep me going LOL. Maybe if I just get a little more bamboo I will be right hehehehe
Hi guys.. I'm back :)
Of course no nappy news here... and been away for too long to try to catch up! Hope all are well.
WOAB: Sposie (at MIL's)
WOMB: Sposie (till yukky newborn poo is finished!!)
FJ, I think a piano's an ace thing to have in a house. I've always wanted to surround my kids with music and give them a chance to develop that interest if they are so inclined. I think our tuner costs about $140, you can get them cheaper or more expensive. If you got it, I'd let it 'settle' for a few weeks before getting it tuned.
On the other hand, if you don't think you'll use it, it'll just be a waste of space. If you're umming and ahhing, perhaps call them and say, if it doesn't get snapped up in x amount of time, we're interested? That gives any poor family who are dying to own a piano a chance to snap it up. I dunno. We love ours.
That probably wasn't much help hey. :P
No Ittis for me today, wow that you got yours so quickly Mo!
I have River banging on his bedroom door during naptime, if he wakes his brother one more time, so help me...
ETA: Hey! Hi Mel! Welcome back! Hope you're settling in well and recovering okay.
Welcome home Mel, :welcome: to MCN Mehkelti!
I checked on bubblebubs b4 throwing the washing in the dryer and yes, I can throw the entire bubble j in there! so I have lots of booster a few towels and whatever clothing that was tumble dryable in the dryer, with the clothes airers in front of the exhaust! should all be dry soon!
i just got some fluffy mail :D
2x baby beehinds minkees (the new ones) a green one and a blue one.. soooooo soft i just want to rub them against my face...
question for all you ladies...
how many times do i wash all of my nappies prior to use?? and what do i use to wash them? liquid or powder? and obviously NO fabric softener :P hot/cold wash???
WTG on the ebay scam Maz! Had a similar thing with the LS I brought...she had it listed for $15 postage but I emailed her before the auction ended and said no way was that reasonable postage when online stores ship them for $5....soooo, I bid $60 knowing I'd only have to pay $5 for postage while everyone else thought they'd be paying $15 and that I was nuts for paying $75 for a second hand LS...ta da!! LOL!
Welcome back Mel! Hope you're recovering well.
Still waiting on my IB too, should check the letter box hey...
welcome back mel!!!
katones - which nappies do you mean? If it's the minkee magicalls, then I only washed mine once before using them.
Welcome back Mel - missed your chatting woman!!!
Well we used on of the new pocket version Magicals this afternoon...fabo I must say and what does his higness do...Christen the bugger with the biggest runniest pooh out! Im a bit miffed.....we're in a medium size now...no more small nappies for me :(

Jodi

Wow Maz! That must be sad, to be done with your smalls.
Better go, Riv's on the table.
Nelle i cheated and got them express posted, i needed nappies badly.
Welcome back Mel!.
WB Mel!!! Congrats!!!
On our last cloth nappy, waiting for the washing to finish so I can throw the flats in the dryer.
WOHB flat
Thanks guys - its good to be back.
Hey, how do you fold a flat for a newborn - girl? I mean, I use flats with the pad bit in the middle for DS for his piddly widdly bit, but have no idea how to fold it for a newbie? She is so tiny (which is amazing considering she is considered to be a "good size") but she has the same hips as her brother - ie none to speak of - and skinny binny legs. So which would be the best folding method for her yucky gross poos?
I've got some prefolds too from FJ but don't exactly know what to do with them!!!!
WOAB: Haute pocket
WOMB: Sposie till we get this folding method right!! (Don't want to use MCN's till yucky poos gone - but can sacrifice flats!!)
Mel PM me your email & I can send you pics of how I fold mine if you like
Well checked my letter box and the IB were there - woo hoo! Pretty impressed I only ordered them on Monday afternoon.
Look pretty good, haven't tried them on him yet. Can I ask what the snaps under the booster are for though :dunno: Just had a quick look but couldn't work that out!
welcome back mel!!! :)
Hope you and that gorgeous girl are all good!
Katones - was it you asking about washing things? Depends on the nappy adn the fabric - you should have care instructions come with them, otherwise look them up in the websites....like BumG's can be washed (and they recommend) hot, and can be tumble dried, where as tehre are some that cannot be washed hot.
Hemp and bamboo take a fair few washes before they reach their max absorbancy, butyou dont want to wash them 10 times before you even use them! lol So just keep that in mind
I wash most of mine twice, and I use powder, I dont think liquid or powder makes a difference. Oh, and my norma wash is cold wash, warm rinse, inserts in the dryer with my night nappies :)
Ness - have fun hun!
Willow - sneaky sneaky with the LS - I love it!! lol
Well, we are sick. Both of us :( poor little thing has been hideous for 2 days now, had a temp of 38.7 yesterday afternoon so she has had more panadol in the last 36 hours than she has had in her whol elife! And I feel like cr@p too so thats not helping....we spent all day today in bed - so glad DF is back tonight!! I may get some rest tomorrow!
WOHB: Sposies still
willow those snaps are for the microfibre boosters (or bamboo) that you can get as extras!!
mel hope sal can help you out with the right folds!!
alexis hope you feel better soon adn get some rest
