hot water GIGI..as hot as you can get it even staright out of the kettle or you can put the stuff on the stove to get it really hot
    how long for?

what sort of ratio for water to salt?

liek for one litre of boiling water, how much salt?

    thanks MELBEL !!! you're a lifesaver.

Laranna - do you mean what to use as a night nappy on a three month old?
Someone asked a very similar question i think in the last page or two, if you scroll back i'm sure you'll see it. Night nappies are generally made with DOUBLE the amount of absorbent layers as a day nappy. But if you are changing bubs every two hours thru the night, (cos they are waking for a feed), a dedicated night nappy is not so urgent. Although i started with two malden mills pocket nappies on my bub quite early, found that pretty darn bulletproof, and it meant i didn't have to change so frequently - i could stuff the pocket as much as she neeeded (customise it).

it was strange, at that young age, i coudln't get PUL pockets to work on her (in the day) cos of the chicken leg thing, but with the malden mills fleece pocket, THAT worked, regardless of chicken leg thing.

    SARAM - funky trainers heh?

    bumwear (brindabella baby)
    blueberry (minky)
    starbunz learners (darlingsdownunder)
imse vimse at nurture nappies and newagenappies
    bambino mio at ecobabe
    little beetle at nurture nappies
    econix at bongo baby
    bummis at weewuns
    motherease
happy heiny pocket trainers at weewuns
    simple simon at twinsincloth
    nipnaps at babyblossom
marnies one wet pants (custom made) at noonee wilga

well that should keep you outta mischief, looking up that lot!

    the difference btwn them?
    closures
stay dry inner or absorbent inner
if you can boost them or not (like for nights)

    PINK PALACE
i just saw a $10 bag of soapnuts (250gm) at brindabella baby

This might seem kinda sad, but I'm considering buying a short bit of minky to put my heat bag in. I use my Mum's old heat bag at night to warm up my toes in bed and the cover is starting to fray and I get bits of wheat throughout my bed at night!

So I thought some lovely minky would be a fabulous re-cover... I'm shocking at sewing though so i might be a huge disaster!

Thanks Gigi - that's an awesome list. I have tried the Imse Vimse ones but they don't have the PUL lining so not much better than undies and I love my Bumwear but having visions of blueberry minky trainers???? Hoping they come in minky

Yes PP - I have sold TNB but I think Sam (the new owner) mentioned getting them in so I will check with her. We arrive on the Sunday the 20th and then go up to Toowoomba on the Tues-Thurs (not sure where you are ?)

Nettie - sounds great! It shouldn't be too hard to make the bag I would use a pillow case for a pattern and then you don't need to worry about sewing a closure like a zip or buttons???

WOHB - lavender flowers Bumwear (we have been wearing our dora knickers today but haven't had much luck so back in nappies for a little while.
