The Crop A dile will only set embellishment style snaps...they are not functional snaps as in they have no male and female backs to them to enable things to snap together....the only tools with the power to set a functional snap are a hammer type tool or a snap press which is also using a more forceful hammer type action. Something that is set together with only the strength of a wrist action is not going to have the strength to hold against the stress of being opened and closed like a nappy does....Does that make sense?

I had a looksie babe....only thing I would be worried about is that it wouldnt open wide enough to fit the snaps and material in IFYKWIM.....and you have to keep it steady at the same time. AND would you be able to put in the plastic snaps from snaps Asutralia cause they have a certain die set for their snaps with a big fat sharft (grrrrowl) sorry mind in the gutter..

I bought the hammer sort form the hardwear and it suxed. I bit the bullet and bought one from snaps but greenbeans in NZ has a much more smaller one (Melbel's got one) and it ends up being a bit cheaper. I like Melbel's so much more then mine...i wish I had have bought one of them but hey you live and learn

    ETA and what Melbel said

Ah Mel, thank you! It does but I don't like it lol. What about a Dritzel snap pliar? Do you know anything about them? I could get one from the US is all & it says it can be used on clothes etc? It was the first one I saw actually but the croc thingy was cheaper!!

**Spanks to you too Maz! It's just I only want to mess about IYKWIM, I have sooooooooo many phases with 'making things' that I doubt I'd use it much at all so was thinking the cheaper the better....

yeah the dritz style one would be okay...again wouldnt be as strong I would imagine but would definitely do the trick....You should try spotlight they should have a similar style of thing to the dritz one.

KAZBAH - wow, Pip must have a VERY long nap for you to achieve THAT much! good on you little red fire engine

MAZ - woo hoo on your crawling wonder boy! the snail analogy made me laff

GUDI - i have a fair few Whizz Kidz sidesnapper fitteds and the WHizz Kidz Nightz - but i haven't tried the WK AI2 to give you a rundown of those, but i can tell you the maker is very ethical, honest and gives excellent customer service. Sewing is high quality, great rep. Definately a good person to do business with, very approachable, great communication. I have been burnt a few times buying MCN, so ethics in business (and in life generally) means alot to me.

Just from reading the product specifications, the WK Ai2 do seem good. She's having a hiatus atm, so once the stock on ozebaby is gone, i wouldn't expect any more to be put up for quite some time.

Sammi - which bambino mio are you talking about? Trainers for Caleb? I have looked at so many brands of trainer i am dizzy! (and still undecided really).

WOTBB: lotus nights with disana woolly pullup soaker (so cuddly) - blimey 50% of the time she squawks like a banshee (ouch on the ears), the other 50% she is gurgling, laffing, making the cutest babbling noises and this makes me feel all warm and gooey inside. she doesn't know if she's arthur or martha that kid.

    The prefolds and covers Gigi.
Doesn't matter now anyway because I got my bamboo single sided terry and will be embarking on a pre fold making session in the near future
I also got some itti bitti boos for the both of them and a beetebums camo pocket for C that I managed to hyena a week ago.

Got a new parcel dude and I presented my best self for him Seeing it's the first day of the school holidays and I'm in my best can't be ragged form!

    Sheeesh it's quiet in here!
