Ooh Sammi & Sal, SUPER JEALOUS of your cloth nappy expo-expedition!! I really wanted to go but my olds were visiting & Punky wouldn't go with any of them so I couldn't get a lift to go have a look-see. They left earlier today & Punky was in the best mood she's been in all week once she was here on her own....!!! Poor family drove 14 hours to see her & she mostly just cried at them!!

...aargh, can't think of what I was going to say.... sooo tired....

I hope your family were understanding of Punky though.
I know when we went up to visit DH's family in Cairns, Glenn was only just 1 & one of his sisters was so offended he didn't just take to her like they were best of friends.

Sammi, I didn't get to go to the expo, but sent a couple of new-clothies there to touch & feel, I hope it was worth it for them! I got 2 twinkle lilys during the nappy hunt, so far so good, nice PUL style & thirstyness! And they appear to be CC-proof too!!! (i got paw prints & blue camo PUL) Twinkle Lily also have some lovely, lovely cut-for-cloth organic clothing they import from the UK, warm, solid and pip-proof.

Neighbour baby-sat yesterday and DH took the moogoo out of the nappy bag (WHY?) so she bepanthan'd his red bum ... *sighs* but she gets full points for using the cloth nappies (I gave her a choice, cloth & sposies) so good on her!

katones - ummm moogooo rocks! safe with mcn as is is water-based and doesn't include nasty stuff that clogs up the nappies. have a look at moogoo dog com dog au for a list of stockists, or you can buy it online. if you buy online, she generally includes samples of other stuff.

mummyof3 why do you suddenly only have 3 posts?

has also come across threatening rain here too, drats. I've washed everything! nappies - all hemp is outside. the highchair ... toys ... and its overcast now! DOH!

wohb - bp dalmation. and he's down for a nap, not the best combination but hey.

Kazbah - how long does the 250ml tub of Moogoo cream last you? Quite a while? I'm looking at getting some after reading your post and checking out the website.

Do you only need the cream when they have a rash? Otherwise it's just the MCN on their butt right? Generally speaking, if using MCN's bub shouldn't get too many rashes should they? whereas sposies cause rashes? Am i right?

I'm glad i can get that Moogoo cream at a shop just down the road from me.

I wish I had some money Maz, I want some minkee!! and where should I get bamboo from? I have started making some towelling willy covers for if this one or AnnaT's is a boy. I think I will need some breast pads and I would like to have a go at making my own mama pads, nice and thick for lochia or if my waters break on their own this time. I might struggle without an overlocker though Hmmm maybe I can talk DH into buying me one....

I put my sewing machine back together today! Yay!

WOEB: Camoflauge Cushie Tushie with bamboo foldup ready for bed
WOSB: a towel but soon to be Red Paws CT with bamboo foldup.
