I'm not sure if christy is coming - even though i have told her to!! lol
But thats a great idea
i will tell dh (when he wakes up...... :P) about tomorrow!
see if i can convince him again!!!
will keep you posted....
Yeah I was going to say PUL covers PP. Its good to know that about compression leaks with NB's. makes sence.
yeah I got compression leaks with DD too - just stopped getting them about a week ago?
Her longies were used as pants - over the PUL
but no leaks with PUL?
nope never.
specially with the motherease ones
awesome... will have to try them.
I am now testing out my bamboo trifolds with a liner in the covers for overnight to see if he will last a litle longer. But might wait until i can get a PUL cover to try. for the overnight and use fleece during the day :)
I just turned around and DH is in bed under a doona!!!! mmm and yep as i guessed sprouting a temperature... awesome huh! soon to be 3 to look after lol
Fj - i am happy to be your tester lol... :)
Woo hoo - I won my first B4B auction!!! One large cheetah blueberry thank you very much!! :hooray:
{scratches head} tester? I can't remember what I said I was going to make?
lol nah FJ - as in test out all the problems with cloth bumming a newborn for you before your bub arrives :) lol
OHHHHH LOL, I was thinking that I remember *thinking* of getting off my butt & making some more PUL covers but didn't think I posted that. then I went back & the only thing I mentioned was wet bags but I was lost as too what you was talking about LOL.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE A PROBLEM!!!!!
My Itti's have serious wing droop issues!!!! :o
They didn't before - and now whenever I put one on DS - its horrible!!!!! No matter how I try to do the nappy up it droops!!!!!!!
Is there anything I can do to resolve this problem - or has he just gotten bigger in the belly or something? DH thinks its his belly pushing the IB down and thats why its not fitting properly....
I don't THINK it happened when I had him in a medium - but can't quite recall - he only had it on for an hour or something....
HELP.. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
Oh my god I am SUCH an idiot... I forgot there was a new thread that I hadn't subscribed to so when I checked my subscibed threads I kept thinking that nobody had posted in here since Sammi yesterday... DOH!!
I am back from the expo with 8 d'lishes!!! YUM! I have hot pink (spanks Maz), light pink, jade, black, red, yellow, green & purple, to add to my previously megre IB stash of a white & light blue, & a yellow medium.
I wasn't even tempted by any other mcn, oh, except maybe for an imsevimse swim nappy (I think that's what it was... Sal..??), but I have decided to go with using an empty pocket for that as the lovely Gigi suggested.
Good to be home with the Punk... I am such a dirty sook lol, was all teary when I got a cuddle when I got home 'cause I missed her so much!! DP said I should have stayed out longer as they were having a lovely time lol.
WOPB: Brand-spanking-new-who-needs-to-prewash Lime IB.
mel - my bbb do this sometimes with dd,,, do you mean the front gapes and bend forward exposing the inner?
i find if i put it in her when she is fussing about it happens - she must suck her belly a strange way and i dont have it pulled up far enough?
I think it gets caught at the leg elastics on each side and thus causing a pull down effect making the droop... perhaps try to run your finger from front to back in the legs and pull up the front?
that is if that is what youare talking about :P
Mel, so he is lge? I had to put an extra snap on my lge ittis to prevent wing droop.
PP - nah i mean the tabs at the side go down beside his crotch instead of staying next to his hips under the other material...
FJ - he fits into a large yeah (I just had him in a medium cos I had run out of his nappies!)... extra snap hey... well that sucks...lol
oooooooooooooooooooooh lol
well.... I do have a snap press & did do it to all of my lge nappies ;)
lol... yeah its great if you have the equipment... and the know how!!! pmsl!!!
well I was saying send them to me you dag! I can't remember where you are but even Maz could do it, there are a few of us on here with snap presses.
oooh  sorry!!! PMSL.... christ I must be tired!!!!
Are you sure? you are about to have a baby you know ;)
Honestly it would take a matter of a minute to do (per nappy obviously). The would be back in the post the same day I got them.
Are you really sure???? I'll pay you for the snaps and your time of course!!
There is quite a few
yep im sure, I will pm you my addy
oh lol, fun!
boy wot a day
meant to have The Photo Session(!!!) and that got cancelled, photographer had a migraine - was dreading the Photo Session, so secretly glad it was cancelled.
dh says at 2pm - let's go the beach! 2.5 hours later we leave to go to the beach, after arguing and getting distracted. WE ONLY HAVE ONE CHILD!!!!!
Get to the beach. Realise i have only HALF packed the nappy bag. we have left the house and gone out WITH NO NAPPY to change madam into when nature calls!!
She's wearing the nappy she had on in the car, goes to the water's edge and SITS DOWN on teh wet sand and one inch of water - she goes troppo - doesn't want to stay in this wet gear - i guess the totally wet Lotus AIO must be heavy on her bottom - so we take that off, put on her swim nappy and hope for the best. She won't get IN the water, but runs around in the swim nappy quite happily.
we were SOOOO lucky she must have had very little "in the tank" as the swim nappy stayed dry (!!!) - we stayed for a few hours - went back to the car and remembered the Emergency Car Nappy Bag - only 2nd time i've needed it, it had a OSFA front snapper that has been gathering dust in that bag. I also managed to forget the portable change mat (that has the wipes in it), so was SO THANKFUL that bilby did not poop! So into the emergency nappy and onto the playground equipment.
Poor bilby, the only time she gets to go on outings with us is on the weekends and neither dh or i can get our *#$& together to pack what she needs. :wall:I didn't want to go anywhere at all, would have been happy if they had gone off on their own, leaving me to be under the doona.
i kept telling myself, people with four children manage to go to the beach and i bet it doesn't take them 2.5 hours to leave home! Cannot believe i actually went somewhere without packing nappies in the nappy bag!!!! My stock standard is to pack three nappies/portable change mat/wipes/ in the nappy bag, today, i got as far as packing her swim nappy/spare clothes/sunprotection stuff and then lost the plot. i had so many interruptions, so much shrieking from bilbs, ongoing arguing with dh, my head was just SPINNING off my shoulders.
this must be why fate has decided i can only have one baby, i can barely cope with one, what on earth would i be like with two! (rhetorical question, don't mind me, just having a bad day).
Katones - your Jack is one week old!! wow! cluck cluck cluck
Have your worked out what you ate that set him off? i had cravings for fruit juice early on, and that gave bilbs terrible soreness (when the poo came out, very violently), i had to cut the fruit juice right out (sigh). It only seemed to be in the first year though, after that, i re-introduced foods that in the first year, she coudln't tolerate, but after one year, i could have them (in small quantities) and it was no longer a drama.
How are your other kids with Jack? Have they asked to take him to school to show off!!
 Gigi hon. And another one too . You sound like you sure could use all the hugs you can get right now.
 Gigi, hun we ALL have those days, no matter how many kids we have. Maz is having her time off ATM remember ;) And I always forget to check the nappy bag, it stays in the boot.
I have a big WOOHOO!!!!! My WM is fixed and I have hot water connected to it!!!!! I have done a hot wash with washing liquid till I have all the nappies available for a strip wash!!! I think the strip wash will occur this week!! for the 1st time since we got married (3.5 years) I have hot water connected to my washing machine!!
Tomorrow (maybe it is today, what's the time?) is the RNW picnic in the park up here!! Got the last of my nappies in the dryer to make sure they are completely dry for tomorrow! Taking my whole CT stash!
 gigi!!!
yesterday at the nappy/expo meet was great!!!!!!! awesome weather and great company!!
omg gigi - dh goes back to work tomorrow and i was going to venture out with the 2 kids on my own.... mmmmmm might rethink it now :)
 Gigi mate, it happens here all the time, yesterday we decided to take the kids to the park in the morning, and whew... an hour later (and we were only going 2 minutes away!) I got both kids in the car, DH was there and I..... was still in my pajamas!!! so I had to run inside & get changed and go with no hair near the right place and no shoes.
Oh Gigi- hehe you should see me leaving the house!! really shocking. I always forget something!!!!
i have to spend most of the night b4 hand packing.. and even then i am backwards and forwards grabbing last min items... oh i just miss getting up and going!!!
well today is sorta my day off from the kids, ex is her to spend the day with them and all i am MEANT to do is fed Millana (doubt) that will happen
I am meant to be doing house work and getting the house ready for painting...
WOAM: Red paws Cushhie Tushies
WOMB: HH
Gigi, we've only got Si with us (riv @ mum and dad's), i packed the night before, church starts NOW, and I'm at the computer feeding Si in my underwear. You are in GOOD company if you don't have your act together. :D
The new Magicalls look good, I don't think they'd leave marks like the old ones.
Oh Gigi, seriously if you think we all manage with out a hiccup your in crazy land. We never get out of the house to do anything before lunch time. DH has a running joke that we always hit the shops at the busy time of lunch hour & the kids are all hungry etc.
The other night we made a last minute dash down the hill for take away & to do late night shopping. I only got part of my shopping done because by the time we got ready & left it was 7pm. Stopped & got hot chips, I did a little bit in coles then wanted to do the rest of my shopping in Aldi which closed at 8. By the time we had everything ready to move on to the next place (aldi) it was 8.15, so I still had to go back the next day & finish my shopping.
Now it would be different if you had planned the trip to the beach the week prior & then still took ages to get ready on the day. But Even when we do plan big days out. I always forget something.
I can also garentee that EVERY single trip I make out in the car I have to look for my keys, phone & wallet. I kid you not. At least one of the items always takes 20 minutes to locate.
In fact I have been driving around for about 3 weeks now with out a licence as I had no idea where Isla put it. I found it on Friday.
Your trip to the beach sounded very normal to me! Hell I have even left the house & forgot that Isla hadn't had breakfast! It was her finding a bit of old cracker in the car & eating it that reminded me she must be hungry!
BIG HUGS to you Gigi - and we have dramas in this house as well when it is time to go anywhere! I have the usual issues that it is difficult to get out of the house in one piece when you have a child. Then I have the ADDED issue of being married to a LOVELY man who has ABSOLUTELY no concept of time whatsoever! He admits this so wouldn't mind me talking about it!
However, I try to keep him on time for things and he argues with me! Classic example is church - which starts at 9:30am but I sing during worship service so have to be at church by 9am for practice! ROUTINELY DH doesn't get out of bed until 8am because he keeps thinking that one hour is enough time for him to shower, shave, eat, dress and other things in the morning. Needless to say we rock up at church about 9:15am so perhaps some day he will believe me and relize he needs to be out of bed a tad earlier.
I must say I'm looking forward to my 3 weeks in America so I can run on a schedule that better suits James and I for awhile! *grin* I think I have mentioned that DH can't afford to leave the business and so is staying home and letting us go by ourselves!
Anyway - nappy news! James is back in cloth at night. He still has two tiny sore spots on his bottom but insisted I put cloth on him last night so I just used a fleece liner and put some cream on the spots.
He also spent about 45 minutes in undies this afternoon but alas - no wee in the potty! Mind you - no wee anywhere else either - he just decided to put a nappy back on. I don't want to push him too hard yet so am just going with what he wants to do!
Not sure if that is the right approach but considering we are headed to the states in about 3 weeks and then I have friends coming to visit over Christmas I'm not planning on being too pushy about TT-ing until after the New Year!
WOHB: FJ MM pocket nappy stuffed with some hemp - just about all my nappies are on the line at the moment!
hmmm we still have the squirts.... but NOT as bad...
and we have a RED butt :(
