I think I may have gotten in over my head here! Can't keep up... but definitely not looking for recovery! It's cozy and comfy, so much minky and velour, why would I want to go anywhere else?
    Maz - you're just a bit legendary! Can't wait....
Ali - thanks, I'm just at the stage where I may have to sell a few. DS has just grown out of anything "small" sized, so there's a few fluffy things I'm a bit sad to have to part with. Turquoise IB or BerryPlush in jaguar anyone?? As for your ewwwy tale of crawlies in the nappy bucket, OMG! I thought it was bad working near the vegemite factory when I was first pg, the smell of industrial-strength yeast spread is enough to curl your nostril hairs, but that just takes the cake...

Gigi - yep, using flats too. DS has been in cloth since birth, pretty much. Flanny flats and a snappi - it really worked! Rainbow coloured terry flats now, and I've got the origami down pat! Confuses DP no end because I keep changing the folds as DS grows. I put printed instructions with diagrams on the wall next to the change table for him, but he can't get past the Bum Genius.

Jodi! Haven't chatted to you since bellybuddies! Emily sure has grown. Too cute!

Can anyone tell me good things about WildChild night nappies? Hope so, coz I've already ordered them... optimistic, perhaps, since DS is allergic to sleep.
See, now I've done it, he's awake again!

NaNa - I haven't used the WC night nappies - but if they are anything like their regular ones - you won't be disappointed

ali - i had a 3.79kg - which everyone told me is a big baby - and yet we were using nb covers for ages - over a baby beehind bamboo foldup - used as a padfold prefold. I have a photo of bilby in the nb snapped down baby beehinds bamboo at six weeks - leg gapes galore - we just tried it on her then, coudln't use it as a her nappy at that stage.

the nb sized covers, also fitted really well over nb and small fitteds. but mainly we used the leg gusset ones (that are designed to be used with prefolds).

i found a great "how to use prefolds" web link today, i think it was the newconceptions pattern webpage (i was there looking at trainer pants pattern, as well as darling diapers "potty dance" trainer pant pattern). back to prefolds - four easy photos that make it well - easy to understand in seconds. so many times newbies are scared by prefolds, the photos make it easy.

How is your tum Nessa? are you on dry toast and flat lemonade?

bilby had a bad stomach at childcare today, well one "nappy from hell" anyhoo - it escaped from the nappy and went down her trousers and socks! she had HEAPS of pureed vegie (and nothing else) yesterday, so can't say i'm terribly surprised. Tonight i only gave her TWO options for dinner (pasta/mince and vegemite on bread), she wouldn't eat either so i just took them away and got her out of the highchair, ready for bath. Big change from my usual routine of trying her with maybe 6 different meal ideas. Much less stressful for me, after getting over the initial hurdle of "i am starving my child!!".

i bought dried apple and dried raisins tonight, to try your idea tomorrow Gudi.

must do the XMas nappy photo thang soon, methinks a red minky nappy with a tinsel halo - if her royal bilbyness will consent to wearing said idea! i will rub the minky on her cheek, that will pass, but the tinsel? that's another matter! gawd, that means FINDING the tinsel first! as if!

wotbb: wotevah night nappy dh put on her, last night i fell asleep at teh same time dh put bilby down 8pm (straight after the breastfeed). slept until 4am, the first eight hour sleep i've had for - i forget.
