GO FJ!!!! Nuffin like hot chippies to bring on labour!

WOHB: BumG and shorts to prevent Mr 'Look Mum, I can take my nappy off and put it on my head, aren't I clever?' from doing exactly that. Why is it that he learned how to do this the day after my lovely new GKs arrived? I am so feeling the GK love, I just wish I had bought them from the start instead of BumGs.

Speaking of the dreaded BumGs (my love/hate relationship continues) - the saga continues and I need some advice from the gurus. (please!!)

We still get leaks, probably 1 in 4 times, although, we've just had three in a row with no leaks which is good. The elastic is pretty shot in all of them, but some worse than others - but the ones with shot elastic seem to leak less than the ones with good elastic (). At the moment I'm using two microfibre inserts - and wondering if that is part of the problem, whether bamboo might help (although I don't get compression leaks or 'fullness' leaks, just leaking out of the side of the crotch, which can often happen even on a dry nappy. And it could be that he just doesn't suit a wide crotched nappy, except that I never have leaks with his other wide crotched nappies like Blueberries (and now GKs). And they tend to leak more often when he's wearing pants over the top than if he's just wearing the nappy.

We've just moved onto the largest size, so they tend to slip down a little bit onto his hips - no matter how tightly I put them on, and because he's running around like a crazy thing the inserts tend to bunch up around the crotch, which is where they leak.

My next plan of attack before giving up on them (which I really don't want to do because I have 12 of the bloody things, and they look pretty cruddy now so they really aren't saleable) is to redo the elastic in all of them, and to try using a bamboo insert instead of the microfibre. Any other suggestions?
