Thanks guys! I'll try combining bamboo & microfibre. Yeah, Mel, the bunching was worse with just the one insert. I think the elastic being so crap doesn't help either. I have to be so pedantic about stuffing BumGs, making sure that the inserts are just perfectly flat and straight, but then they bunch within about a second of it going on him. (In a way I'm kinda hoping that I don't solve the problem with the BumGs, then I can buy more GKs... )
Kaz - you must be about ready to strangle your cleaning lady with a nappy. Grrr... Enjoy your BBQ!
Maz - I've met Jodi a couple of times before - she lives in Cairns same as me. Last time we caught up was when Emily was about 8 weeks old (I think). I think she had this meet up in Brissy (or am I confused).
Ness - that's a really cute photo of Millana - wow she has the most amazing head of hair. Euan's still baldy baby - but he's working on a good grampa mullet. Because he's so fair it looks like he's got nuffin at all.
WOHB: still the same BumG on his sleepy butt. I knew I should have changed him first...
Suse - I'm with you on the GK love - I think their inserts don't bunch cos of the hourglass shape - thats what i figured anyway - me love them to death!!!! Sometimes (shhh!) I use a BumG insert inside a GK over the bamboo
Hmmm no FJ news! Hope you've either had a wonderful family day or you have babe in arms
Suse we had the same bunching up problem with a few different nappies. Not much you can do about it but a bamboo trifold might help as it's a bit thicker. I hear you on the cruddy looking BumG's!
Maz if you sense labour like you do PG then I guess I shouldn't be making plans for this week either!
Had a pre labour session lastnight and for a while there thought it was all on but like FJ mine fizzled out by 3am too. Having BH's ATM but nothing too serious I don't think.
MIL ended up coming over and she attacked my laundry while I was out today which I'm both grateful for but a bit scared at the same time. I'm not game to see if the nappy bucket is empty...
Sammi - I have period cramps....and im not due for um 2 weeks (remember o'ing atm)....hmmmmmmm
Im going to go some snapping and make some BF pads....I think I might have to take a drive to Melbourne town soon
oph oh Nappy related..yes right its a nappy general chatter isnt it I bought 2 WC night nappies of lori at NC....woo hoo for me..their blue and purple tones oh and Ive emailed Mel are Mirabain nappies to ask if she has any boy coloured night nappies... nioce black/red and orange one will be coming my way soon...cant wait to try it out. Ive heard such good things about her nappies and they look yummy....I love hand dyed stuff...pity I such at it
no news sammi. feeling pretty over it, have a had a cry etc.
Going to head down to the hossy in about an hour once mum gets here. Need to have acheck whats goin gon. I need to hear I am dilating as I am very frustrated, disheartened. Not to mention tired etc.
FJ, Hope that little man is dilating you hun. I'm betting that when I am ready to pop I will be checking my cervix every hour at least!
DH hung out the nappies yesterday, and we have a heap of them clean and dry, and he still insists on using sposies Typical
Maz - I think I need a new computer after last night absolutely spewing that it went demented, I put it through twice to make sure and it did not like me!! (I have wanted to use that smilie for ages but never had a reason, now I get to use it it realy does explain my frustration!!)
Fiona. I remember that feeling of needing to know if something is happening or not, especially after having so much prelabour! I hope you get some positive news and feel lifted and able to ride out the remainder of bubs time in utero because of it.
FJ - hope it's all happening for you soon hon - it's the frustrating bit - feeling like not enough is happening to be 'really' in labour, but too much is happening to properly relax and rest up. Soon you'll have newborn nappies on a tiny little butt.
WOHB: BabyGreens and Maz Camo cover, which of course he fell asleep in at 9:00 and now we'll have to do a stealth change into his night nappy and he'll wake at 3:00am again. Bugger...

SUSE - i was wondering today actually where you had been, felt like you hadn't posted for AGES! sorry to hear about your bumG woes - are they in warranty? which version are they? have you contacted the seller?
have you tried DIFFERENT inserts inside them?
there are Greenkids inserts on the Greenkids ozebaby store, they have specials there, either bulk packs (like ten) or seconds, always for a good price.
KAZBAH - OMG i cannot believe what your cleaning lady is doing to your stash!! does she know what each item cost you to buy? She could have mucked up 100's of dollars worth of MCN!!! I do not think this is vaguely annoying, this is expensive for you!! Does she truely understand what she's done? I would really be spelling it out to her.
her services for X dollars per hour minus how much she dollar value she has wrecked of your stuff - if you don't spell it out, she might keep doing it!!
RAVEN - Can you type out the do and don't of washing MCN to stick on washing machine door, or laundry door for your helpful MIL to read?
FJ - thanks for all the updates, it's great to hear where you're up to. we all care about how you're going hon.
Who is Jodie in Cairns? which username is she? (feeling dim)
BEATRIX - love that photo of MJ! wot a little doll.
FALGUNI - hiya
PINK - forgot now what i had to say!
ARIMEH wot was Gudie - bilbs was very bald for the longest time, i got so used to NOT MUCH HAIR. amazing how that can change very quickly (all of a sudden).
WOTBB: wotevah night nappy dh put on (Idol was on, so i was oblivious)
dh has been putting her in fitteds and green varigated shorties lately (one is a bilby pair, one is a rainforest friends pair), i love seeing her in woollies, it amazes me how trim they are - i always expect them to look bulky. Weather is too warm for the longies, i'm missing those. i should start facing facts that most of them she won't fit into next winter - sigh.
