Fj - i sometimes (esp mornings and overnight) have to have 2 x bamboo bp's on both sides too.
I leak through otherwise.
Sammi - i hope it happens for you soon. I put my phone on silent and wouldnt answer calls when i was getting close lol
Well DS is in a IB for the first half of the evening ( i am hoping he sleeps for a few hours lol)... then will see if can get my brain functioning enough to put a BBB on his bot in themiddle of the night.
I do find them bulky - especially being a tummy sleeper but he doesnt seem to mind too much i dont think. I use the long insert doubled over in there!
*BOOOOM* Sheesh I go out for a little while and spend a couple of hours with my family after lunch and I have 3 pages to read?!?!? you ladies need lives
We picked up the new change table yesterday, and I have room for more nappies!!! I have taken some pics, will upload them later. So nice to have everything organised and in a central spot where it is easy to change nappies!! I do however need to do something about the stench of the bucket when I open it
Sammi - she will come when she is ready. Maybe put a message on your answering machine saying 'Just because I havent answered the phone does not necessarily mean I have had the baby, and you WILL know when I have, so If you are calling to ask if I have had the baby yet please hang up now, otherwise please leave a message after the beep.' I think I might do that if people are bugging me this time!!
I have official dates for when we will be in Adelaide for our holidays, so I will post a thread in messages a little closer to the time. Big things seem to happen on the boards when we go away, I wonder if there will be more new smilies this time
Gigi We luvs ya
Maz Suse and Sammi - You wouldnt belive your convo about dancing naked in the rain came up at lunch today!! I might actually do it this summer if the raindrops are slightly cooler than the air (I am told we get hot rain but Suse you would be able to tell me if the water is like it has come from the hot tap?)
Sasa - Hey!! WRT your mum coming to stay you can say to her that you wont be buying sposies and if she refuses to use cloth then she can pay for the sposies herself and whatever else DD needs that is caused by sposie use, eg rash cream. I need to go through my medicine cupboard and see if I have any scented oils apart from the clary sage (not good in pg) that I can put in the nappy bucket. Once this bub is ready to come out though it will be going everywhere!!
FJ - Super Boobies!!! Have a look at Lilypadz, I am considering them this time in conjunction with my Maz BPs. They dont catch the milk, they stop it from leaking without damaging the ducts.
WOEB: Choc mint minky CT with night booster
WOSB: Red Paws CT with night booster
Ali - the rain can be warmish, but it's not like a hot shower. It's not cold, that's for sure, but it is usually cooler than the air.
Rhyb - I feel your pain hon. Euan has been horrendous the last few days. Poor little guy. It took four hours to get him down for his afternoon nap (which ended up being at 7:30 at night lol). After cutting a tooth without us even noticing last week, whatever is going on in there now is really hurting him.
Sam - (imagine Suse adopting concerned/annoying relative-like tone) - so why haven't you had this baby yet woman? Don't you know how darned inconsiderate it is that we all have to wait? Just kidding hon - she'll come when she's good and ready!
WOHB: BP and about to be a night nappy (prolly a Whizz Kidz) as soon as he stops fakking.

hiya everybodeeeee (channelling Grover there)
i just LOVE my avatar, it's so YUM. Still feel very spoilt. I suspect some tricky person organised this, aka secret squirrel behaviour, cannot believe it. like wow. :shakes head: incredible.
my debt is with the Family Assistance Office. A social worker rang them up for me, and nothing can be done about the debt UNTIL dh lodges tax returns. Even if i leave, i will still have the debt. The debt is not tax return debt, it's repayment of family assistance. For years they have worked off our PROJECTED family income, but they can no longer wait for DH to get his tax done.
The family assistance money is in my name, so the repayment (debt) is in my name.
i am already paying off a Centrelink debt for him ($1,000), that happened when he hurt his back and was on Workcover leave. it's so complicated - and upsetting to me, cos i have never been in debt before. i would never accept a loan to pay it back, my personal rule is if i haven't the means to pay back a loan, i don't ask for a loan. But it's sweet of you girls to even think of it (if you won Lotto or something).
it has helped me get thru today, knowing i coudl talk about it here - you don't brush me off like dh does (as if it were nothing and i'm just over-reacting).
I'm trying to rev myself up for our photo session tomorrow, i must forget all this horrible stuff and think happy thoughts, to keep bilby in good humour to be photographed. Lucky i paid for the photos earlier this week, i prolly would have cancelled if i hadn't (now i know about the new debt).
so here's me, the one with the dh fabulous at changing and washing nappies, but disgusting irresponsible with lodging tax returns. Makes me wonder if it's the reason for his previous divorces. Makes me feel like i can't trust his word on anything.
FJ - bilby was feeding every two hours as a newby, and we had to change her before the feed, after the feed. 20 changes a day at the start. She also wee-ed heaps, we started using windpro fleece pockets for naps quite early on.
sounds like you are not having supply issues LOL.
so tired, gotta try and sleep, photo shoot is very early - this will be a Challenge to get up early, and be at botanic gardens early with all of us ready. can't even raise my voice, throat lurgy has kicked in, my trachy scar is all red raw from coughing.
got told the other day "you can't take photos of bilby in nappies, she's too old for that", but yes, we will get some shots of her in MCN. i don't care if not everyone agrees that it's approp at two. Tough, i think her legs look gorgeous in MCN. and she DOES wear nappies at two, it's not a shameful thing! I'm more worried WILL or WON"T she wear the tinsel garland to be the xmas angel? i got her a silver sequinned headband at cotton onkids, and LOST it by the time i got home, the shops were MADNESS this afternoon.
SASA - nurture nappies sell a bumgenius nappy deodouriser or neutraliser or something like that.
if your toilet room is too narrow to easily fit a ROUND nappy bucket, i would use a different shaped bin with a lid. Like a taller, skinnier kitchen tidy bin with a lid.
Try and raise it on a box or something, so you don't have to stoop to put used nappies into it.
the smell that hits you, is the AMONIA in the nappies, from the urine. (i think).
i think it's NappiesCovered that sell "Citrus Circles" that you tape to the lid.
I little squirt each item separately before putting in the bucket.
Alioops I used Lily padz with glenn but not till i had passed this full on let down stage. Then I got them again with Isla & eneded up returning them as they were crap. They changed the design a little & they just didn't work for me. Nevery stuck properly.
I also found that I would still get a let down & the milk would pool under the lilypad & then I would have a little cup of milk I then had to figure out how to catch as I tookt he thing off.
So IMO Lilypads are not very good for a strong letdown person.
Well iain wore a VBSN (hemp) to start with, that was pretty wet after 3 hours. Then I put him in the BBB & that was pretty wet too by morning but not soaking wet. So I might keep working with those & see how we go.
