Jodi / rhyb - did you get my last PM? I suggested my place at 11:00 on Thursday. Lemme know if you didn't get it and I'll resend... (it's showing as sent from my sent box, so not sure what happened there...)

WOHB: GK (zebra minky) and a very large bump on the head from falling off the couch.

Anna - You can try a few of my CTs on the boys if you want

Maz - I think you missed my Q in the last thread. Does Mat react to minky as well as MF? what do you use for liners? Em is blistery again

Jodi - I like Nelle's idea!! If Sarah starts doing that I might use it!!

All our nappies are in the dryer. I should go see if they all got dry or if I need to do them again coz I put way too many in there.

WOEB: Blue liquorice allsort CT double boosted
WOSB: Dorothy the dinosaur Custom night nappy unless she has taken it off

Gigi -I have emailed you hun. I am sick of her reacting to anything!! I will put her in the 2 bamboo fitteds we have tomorrow with covers and no liners (bamboo velour) and see if they help. She is all blitsery again
Well I had better get off the comp soon and go to bed. I am still trying to catch up on sleep considering lately I have been woken by loud rain a few times.

Gigi - arnica is supposed to be really good at reducing bruising and mild swellings/sprains. I haven't used it myself but know a few people who swear by it. Euan is fine - he cried for five minutes then climbed straight back up and tried to leap head first off the couch again. He's such a boy . Yesterday he belted his head on so many things it was ridiculous, it was one of those days. His favourite trick at the moment is running along the couch, and climbing up the back of it, so we have the ambulance on standby. He's just gone down to sleep now () and I'm sitting back with a little drinky. Mmmm.

Rhyb - of course you and Aiden are still welcome on Thursday.

Ali - did you have a huge storm yesterday? We lost our power (we being the city of Cairns) for about an hour because lightning hit the conduit transmitters a bit further up from Townsville (yes, we get our power from Townsville nearly 300km away ) - just wondered if you got the storm?

WOHB: Whizz Kidz Nights & wool soaker and bugger all else. It's a hot one tonight.

Sure did Suse. The rain was louder than the thunder and lightning. My backyard is STILL muddy!! We had no power for a couple of hours but some of the major intersections had police directing traffic for up to 8 hours. 1 of DH's colleagues got flooded in, he couldnt get out of his housing estate because of flash flooding. One of the things I like about being part way up a mountain, the only way out is to go downhill so when my driveway is still dry the main road could be flooded!! I got woken by the rain at about 5am. Thankfully the girls slept through it!! And thank Goodness I had nothing on the line!!

    11am sounds good.

nelle - I've tried that. Because the nappies go in the nappy bucket, she won't use anything else. Problem is, they're not even wet, they're dry. And by the time I've realised, they smell from being in the same bucket as nappies, so I need to get new ones. I'm hoping it's just a phase she'll grow out of soonish. She even puts her pyjama pants in there each morning! lol

ETA: ali - welcome to the wet season!

Ali - Im sorry babe....i did miss it. Yes both kids have issues with their skin...Ive learnt not to put ANY washing powder in at all when I wash the nappies and im using bamboo velour liners. I'll send some up to you.

Kat - Im such a dumb butt atm..its driving me insane

Thanks everyone, esp Gigi (omg how long did writing all that take you!?), for your suggestions and advice!

I still think cloth-ing is the way to go BUT Im not sure about clothing the new bub from birth From memory they poop and wee like theres no tomorrow and the thought of all those cloth nappies to be washed scares the crap outta me. Is it really that much or am I just remembering an overexaggerated image from lack of sleep and delirium in the newborn stage

Er Maz I love KFC but have the same prob with my bot-bot afterwards so we avoid it too! But score on the free KFC!

Uuuum I had another question, work brain work, oh right snap in inserts? I guess I could do that, snap em in once everything is dry and then they are ready to go on their bums. Im not a huge fan of stuffing pockets and I dont think Dh would remember to stuff em on a regular basis and Id end up with wee everywhere haha

Might go troll MCN sites and have a looksie.

I'd do that too Maz!!! if you can't make it to the loo well you just can't make it....
I will bloody well need prefolds for pads when AF returns i flood out a super tampon and a pad within an hour....

Bloody hell with nappies!!! this kid is growing too fast!! he was in a NB mummy'n'me AIO and i reckon it is too small...it fit well but he still managed to leak!!!! all over my bed..where he was asleep

WOJB ~ FJ NB Jack / Maz minkee cover (we shall see if he leaks out of these NB size nappies....

Erm this cloth buying is going to be hard lol

Another ? or two (sorry your all going to be mighty sick of me soon) -
Whats the difference between night nappies and 'day' nappies? My boys always wake up with sposies choc full of wee so if I used cloth for nighttimes I would need something mega absorbent or easily boosted so they dont wet through.

Can you interchange inserts? I have some of the BBH inserts etc for my bumG pockets, will I have to turf them and start again or could I use them with whatever I buy, provided they are pockets?

As for drying nappies, are any of them mega hard to get dry? Obviously not a total issue up here as its super hot and things dry within an hour of being on the line (we own a dryer just in case though) but it would be a factor in what I end up buying.

Also, is it hard to resell MCNs? Because Gage is our last bub so if I MCN him from birth (and my bubs grow fast!) and buy newborn size nappies then I'll be lucky to get maybe 8wks of use out of them before they are relegated to the cupboard forever. Id have to resell them to make it worth my while. Unless there is a nappy that fits newborns to say 8kgs so I wouldnt have to change sizes?

Ok I'll back away now lol
