I hope everyone had a great day yesterday.

Miss M is sick - so her BBB is currently soaking in really warm water - it did get rinsed with with hot water and a bit of pine o clean (we think she has a belly bug cos it was bright yellow - and lots of it!!!)

Gigi - yay for wees!!!!! Its so exciting!!!!!

Maz - poo to emb machine - grrrr

Rhyb - did you know that the elastic was gone? Did the seller mention it? I think that is sooo rude if they didn't.

Not much going on here except for nasty yellow poos and a boy who is still sleeping because he didn't go to sleep until 9.30 last night.. grrrr......

Yay for wee's in the potty! Go bilby!
As for christmas. We didn't go anywhere or have any visitors & our christmas dinner was Pancakes!
This morning I am sore from putting up the trampoline by my self yesterday. I tell ya what, I could easily live with out DH (horrid thing to say I know LOL) but I think to put together a 10 foot tramp AND bunk beds with no help AT ALL is pretty darn good LOL. But Far out my arm is sore from pulling those springs into place!

Poor Isla just freaked out as she was sitting on DH's lap & HE freaked out thinking Poo had leaked from her nappy. He jumped up with arms waving & lots of LOUD EWEWEWEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW only to discover it was weetbix! The poor girl is rather freaked out by poo at the moment so he did nothing for her little issue with that over dramatised reaction!

Iain is now wearing BBB's with out foldin gthem down. He can also wear his WC night nappy & its a perfect fit.
OH AND He was wearing the Pooh & Tigger outfit Mel bought him the other day. thing is, its a 00! He is growin gso fast!

Maz I cant even believe your attempting an embroidery machine, I cant even work a friggen needle and thread by hand So my hats off to you, hope you get it cracking.

Sooooooo Merry Boxing Day to me, Dh gets yet ANOTHER sleep in and I get woken up with "Good morning mummy, got poo nuggets on my fingers!" After a world record leap out of bed (think I pulled a tummy muscle), frantic checking of other limbs and bedroom finding its only on the hands, washing of said hands I hear Ripley awake.

    Smearing poo on HIS door

He pooped up the back of his nappy and was sitting against his door (vacuuming surprise surprise ) rubbing his back against it.

So its a poo day today. And I need a drink (or sleep). But instead I shall be shopping which at this point in time does not cheer me up at all.

lol FJ that's a very overdramatic reaction!

OMG yesterday was full on!! My sisters kid was a terror, throwing tantrums left and right until I had had enough and cracked it with him. I told him he couldn't play in the dome that Ashton was in so he threw a rattle at Ashton and copped him fair in the face! He has a bruise today So I growled at him, and then asked him to pick up the toys he had thrown on the floor in a huff, he wouldn't so he went to the corner, I picked them up and then wouldn't let him play with them so my sister cracked it. I hate family sometimes. She lets him get away with everything and he is a little **** because of it! I mean he is 3 in April, and should know better. He chucks a tantrum when he doesn't want to do something, so she does it instead... just feeding it as far as I am concerned... drives me up the wall!

whoops... maybe I should have put this in the venting room Sorry!

Anyways, kids had a blast, loved their pool and spent most of the day in it until they were blue and teeth chattering...
I was still cleaning up at 11pm last night! Ended up leaving the rest till this morning

Ashtons dad is coming to see him in an hour and a half for the first time... I am so nervous. I hope he doesn't start drama... I am so not in the mood.

WOHB - Bizy Bee name nappy. Still fits... JUST!

PMSL FJ - what an overdramatic reaction indeed. Although one would think that after four kids your DH would be a little more used to poo? I tell you, he wouldn't have wanted to have been in our pool yesterday...

Mel - good luck with Ashton's dad's visit, I hope it goes as well as it possibly can.

Anna - that's the start of a poo day indeed. Not a nice thing to wake up to. We've had a poo week this week (generally four a day, his best effort has been six...). I think that I'm going to have to stop feeding him.

Rhyb - how are you and Aiden hon? Bummer about the BBBs, what a PITA.

(Warning, incoming TMI grossness). We had our first ever poo in the pool yesterday, and I can tell you, our swim nappy is frickin useless. And it wasn't a nugget, either. Ooops. I've been meaning to buy a new swim nappy for a while, his current one still fits, but it's a bambino mio and it's a pain because it's a pull up even when there's no poo in it, but now for sure a swim nappy with snaps both sides is on the Christmas list. Gigi, there's heaps of entertainment in sultanas, except when they're floating around a swimming pool... Eeeeuuuuwwwww.

Oh and Gigi - BIG CONGRATULATIONS and HUGS to the Bilbster for her first wee in the potty. Wot a clever Bilby! Never mind that the undies stayed on, that's a minor detail!

held up BEAUTIFULLY over night..then he had a 6am feed...then got the look of concentration on his face..and promptly pooed in it... it is drying right now...should be ready for tonights usage (my boy i finally sleeping in his cot all night!!!!) i took the drop down side off the cot and put the railing on and it is right against my side of the bed... he sleeps propped up on a boomerang pillow.

Rhyb - Thanks for posting them! Will let you know when they arrive!

I'm proud to announce that DS has only worn ONE disposable nappy since we returned from the states on 2 December.

We're headed down south for three days over New Year's - trying to decide whether to do sposies and give myself a little holiday - or pack cloth and wash it all when we get home???

It is a tough one - we are going to Hervey Bay (with a stop in Bundy) next week for 5 days, and we are tossing up the options too..
Problem is - as soon as DS is in sposies now - he gets a rash straight away!!!

What to do, what to do

AnnaT - OMG - what a poohorrible day you've had! massive hugs to you hon - passes you a Kaluah and milk with ice, and the icecream of your choice.

Arimeh, i have little squirted really yellow, sick poo nappies out in COLD water and that worked too. But i didn't leave them in the nappy pail for long, i wash those ones pretty pronto (cos i'm paranoid). Hope M is better soon.

FJ - what is up with your dh? did somebody swap the father of four kids with a single strange man or something? Poor isla!

I take it he is not the sort that LOVES to put together IKEA flat packs? Putting together that enornous trampoline, YOU DID THAT???? wot a woman is all i can say! and SHAME dh, SHAME!!! not to even help you with it!!! SHAME I SAY! are you listening FJ's DH????

Rhyb - was it you who bought the bbb with shot elastic? my suggestion is that you contact seller and explain the situation politely " i bought this being told the elastic was a little bit gone, and it is COMPETLEY gone" and i am not happy with this situation. factual but polite. Wait for them to contact you back and offer restitution. You should not be expected to buy stuff that is incorrectly described. Unpicking a fitted nappy and putting in new elastic is not a quick or easy job.

i have done this (with my heart in my mouth, no idea what outcome would be)
and i've been pleasantly surprised sometimes. so it's worth a shot. I really don't like dishonesty. espcially when you pay money to find it out.

MissyMoo - good luck with the ex visit.

Suse - i haven't seen the bambino mio swim nappies, i do know the Imse Vimse ones though, they have snaps on ONE side and we've been very happy with that one. You live in a flat or unit don't you? so does that mean that your pool was a communal pool (that all the tenants in your block of flats, use?) were other people there when it happened? embarrassment to the max! i feel your pain!

motherease make swim nappies with snaps on both sides (i'm pretty sure, check that out).

i'm assuming the leg seal on the BM swim nappy was a bit lacking?

Bilbs did a poo in knickers tonight, ignoring me to sit on potty. but she hid in a hidey hole (inbetween a bookcase and a cupboard), so i was suspicious she was doing something. she makes NO NOISES or facial expressions, it's SO hard to tell when she wees or poos! So i experienced what it's like to change a child out of pull down knickers with a poo in there. Thank god it was a nugget, wasn't too bad, i changed her on the change table, and little squirted the knickers, will wash them with the nappies. ANything else i should have done? I forgot to show her the poo being flushed down the loo, next time.

Katones - having a night nappy stash is very useful, for times they take ages to dry, for the times your bub is teething and poops more often than usual, or poops at night when usually they dont' (teething in our case), or is unwell (gastro).

wotbb: whatever night napy combo dh put on her, when i was out, watering a friend's garden (they're away on holidays). so it'll be either a night fitted with a woolly soaker, or a aio night nappy.

there are some lovely woolly soakers/shorties up on elly belly (at the ozebaby store) right now.

Does your accomodation have a washing machine e.g self contained accomodation? or are you staying at a friend's/relative's house (with access to a washing machine)?

Do you have a big wetbag? (that ones called "pail liners" with the drawstring that are gi-normous.)

bilby rashes up to sposies too, i sympathise.

Yeah our accommodation has a washing machine - we are staying with my SIL and BIL. I sent her a text asking if we could use the washing machine and she said SURE.. but WHY.. and I said.. um. to wash our cloth nappies.. and she sent back, why don't you just use disposable.

    Um.. cos I don't wanna???

I would use them, if it's a hassle to your IL then take them home and wash them?

ARIMEH - does SIL know that sposies give your child rash? that might change her mind.

Are you staying in a town, that would have a laundrette? That would prolly be the scenario for me, if we went to visit my MIL, cos i doubt she would let me use her machine. Laundrette would be a pain, waiting around for the load to finish, what to do with bilby in a laundrette etc. only way i can think of.

there's an article "what's in a disposable" on the nurture nappies website, look across the top, click on the link called RESOURCES or INFO, something like that. To show your SIL.
