Erm a ? for everyone about the prefolds.............

How did you opt to fold them for newborns?

Ive got some ready for when bub is born but not sure how to fold them and if he is anything like his brothers just using them booster-style in a cover wouldnt stop poo-splosions Also, did you use snappi's or pins? Id prefer snappi's I think if they are easy to use. Can I use the ones from BigW and such or should I get them online?

Anna - I folded the prefold so it flares out across their butt/back - and wrapped it around the front - where I had it folded as a big pad. Then I snappied it. With ones I got from Big W.

    Mel,
Try hanging to outside over night and then leave it a full day then another night then wash. Even if it rains this can also help. If it hasn't much elastic a soak in napisan might also help.
Nothing is worse than clothes that keep a bad smell.
The other option is after you have washed it put it on him when he is due to dirty it, give it his own smell

Wow - lots of pages to catch up on!

Gigi - waaaay back - yes night nappy is for Ari - I really need a nappy that's got more length in the front. Her WC are like bikini's on her and when she sleeps on her tummy - it comes straight out and through the cover. Our GNST did OK last night but it's not a fav IYKWIM. Mattress protectors we use a normal one from kmart with a saddle style one over the top of her sheet. PM me if you want pics and detail they are about $27 from where I got mine.

Mel - eeeww on the stinky nappy. Have you tried bicarb? Maybe soem teatree or lavender oil and disinfectant. Yuck that someone sent you a stinky nappy, how rude.

kitt3n - I just used mine frayed, no problems but if you really wanted them replaced maybe contact nurture nappies, they are the wholesalers for Bum g in OZ and handle all the returns anyway.

oh blah, I can't remember anything else.

Oh have my give away stash ready will list them soon - what is the right way to do so, in this thread or somewhere else?

I'll give all those a try. The line one didn't work, I had it out there for almost a week and it still smelt
The worst thing is when I opened the pack I could smell it, so I have no idea how the seller didn't
