WOHB - WC fitted
Wow you ladies chat a lot! gone a couple of days and a new thread on pg 5! I missed out on the bling :-( probably for the best as Miss Ari has been using the potty like a champion today! God bless her. her disposable was only half full this morning also so I got out my clothies for night tonight and they don't fit :-( Anyone got any recommendations for high rise, easy to use, not to bulky night nappies. We have a GNST that should still fit (just have to find it) but any others???
Anyway have to go - bed is covered in nappies - will have some to get rid of in coming weeks if anyone is interested.
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a fluffy new year
*Bounces around so Saram can see me*
Had a huge fight with my mother today that ended with her saying she hopes DS gets taken off me! All because I asked her not to feed my son beer :wall: Still so mad that she cant see a problem with it but o well.
DS has been sleeping in his room for a week now all by himself what a good boy
Other than that I have found out Im gonna be a SAHM for at least another year as I cant get into my tafe course so I intend to make the most of it by learning something new ;)
Hows everyone else doing?
WOHB: Blue BBB and purple cover
Umm. :o:
All because I asked her not to feed my son beer
 Hugs since you have to deal with someone with not much common sense. Why would he want beer anyway? Wouldn't it seem gross to a baby?
Totally fallen off the cloth nappy wagon. I seriously haven't been home, the only way we're wearing clean clothes is that we got heaps for Christmas! Will be back on the wagon soon.
oh bum
2nd time today i've lost a post!
SARAM: what size night nappies/covers are you after? would a 7 - 12kg night cover help you out?
i know of some high rise night covers e.g Disana pullup, Sugarpeas sidesnaps, both wool and fleece, any handknit soakers, shorties with the appropriate rise.
Possum Pouches on ozebaby had night nappies (40 reduced to 25) today, in medium long and large. haven't checked for a few hours to see if they're still there or not.
Are they for Ari?
RHYB - how frustrating that some people think it's CUTE to give a baby beer - and won't respect YOU when you say otherwise! grrr to that stupidity.
bad luck for not getting into your course, next year heh?
i've been wondering how you are getting on - since your ex cleared off with your household effects.
MAZ - so pleased you got your moo blingaling!
Beatrix - are you in your new place yet? or still at parents? GL with the TT-ing with Annika, i'd love to hear your tips how to do it (i'm collecting TT-ing vignettes from everyone!).
hi Nelle! :waves at you in your holiday treehouse:
wotbb: lotus night fitted nappy and disana woolly pullup soaker (high rise one Saram).
**** :o Rhyb...I cant believe your mother tried doing that! Is she for real??? Hope that 2009 is such a better year for ya babe
Ness - no I wiped out all my PM box and accidently got ride of a heap of unread ones.....you'll have to tell brain dead maz again  HOpe that Miss M gets her bum cleared soon. Mateauz has the same problems...as soon as ity goes it comes back
Nelle - hahahah your terrible woman! no excusses to get of the wagon!!!
Kaz - hope your getting better honey.
OH were oh were oh were is Sammi??? Oh were oh were oh were is Christy??? Oh were oh were oh were is Jol's???
Sarah - I might be able to help you out my sweet :) PM me measurements
Miss Mel - I am over the moon...IVe been stalking and always miss out...I even emailed Michelle to see if any were coming up..I just hope it fits cause im gonna cry if it dont
Of to do some snapping and folding of dame washing!!! BLAHHHHHHHHHHHH
WOMB - IB boo and maz-a-licious 2 ups minkee cover
:hello:Here I am!!! I'm exhausted... but at lease I'M ON THE WAGON!!! Naughty girl Nelle
rhyb, I'm lost for words. I know my Grandma used to rub brandy on gums for teething, but thats nothing like offering a beer :o Holy cow...
Maz - WOW under 2 weeks until miracle boy's birthday!!! WOOT!
:hello: everybody! I'm having issues keeping up but I love you all!
Well.... I am when I am here. I'm working 70 hours between Christmas & New Year... today's my day off 12 hour shifts. So I'm here... but on the day's I work, I'm sorta brain dead. In my line of work though, its impossible to get online. Heck Boxing Day I got to eat my salad while watching a dog seizure and counting the times between seizure and that was considered my lunch break . Its been unbelievably busy at work... So my 10 hour shifts became 12 hour and my day off is today. I've vacuumed & mopped and done 2 loads of washing. Yesterday I put the load of nappies on before I left for work ;) so at least I have clean nappies. I have 3 loads of washing to do today as well. DH feels pretty bad because I started cleaning the house today & he said "I can't seem to do any cleaning when I'm looking after the girls... yesterday Jovie didn't have a nap, Matilda was feral," So although he is used to having the girls on Sat when I'm at work, he's not used to the huge hours and really doing it for longer. He will learn.
WOHB: Erica nappy and maz cover
 christy - that must be exhausting xxx
Better go do something constructive I suppose.
I brought some nappies yesterday - didn't need them, but couldnt' resist the $15 price tag ;)
WOTB: both in ittis
Maz I'm sure it will fit. Ashton is 8kg 70cm and it's almost on the smallest setting :)
Mateauz is 12kg and have no idea about his height....I am so excited about it...havent been this excited about fluffies in a long time
ON a non nappy related issue.....Mateauz is letting go of furniture now when he's cruzing...doesnt even realise it most of the time....I cant believe that in 11 days he's one! :( . He's leg is also alot more straighter now...I made him wear a his right shoe on his left and it seems to have worked
womb - New IB boo (aqua) and still maz-a-licious '2 up' cover :)
the princess bling nappies are all gone :-(
the reduced night nappies are too
Saram - might be also be interested in nappies that you are getting rid of
Wondering if you girls can help me, I've noticed that sometimes when I have IB's on DD, the material underneath where the snaps does up kind of droops down and doesnt stay where it should meaning that the nappy leaks a bit... any suggestions? Maybe I'm not putting it on properly?
WOHB - pink IB
:yeahthat:
FJ fixed my problem with that too - cos she's a GORGEOUS lady ;)
Kellie Ive noticed the same thing on the boys in Itti's sometimes. Mostly its because theyve squirmed when Ive put it on but FJs idea of extra snap on the inside is brilliant. Wish I could do it to mine! Prob wouldnt see the problem on a non-mobile baby but I guess when they move/walk it squishes around and slips down?
Ok so inadvertantly Ive discovered the Itti's make great night nappies  I put one that Rip was wearing back on him after his bath last night as he hadnt wee'd in it and put him to bed without changing to a sposie. I realised when he had been asleep for a couple of hours but I couldnt bring myself to wake him even though I was imagining pee soaked mattresses in the morning. Well he didnt even wet through but the nappy was soaked! Maybe the whole night nappy thing isnt such a hard task after all.............maybe I should buy some. Ok my bank account just groaned lol
WOTB - sposies because Dh was in charge this morning and he cant stand poo cloth nappies (even though he just throws them in the bucket for me without even rinsing them, tool)
Anna - you can always buy the little bamboo booster inserts from itti bitti if you want it as a night nappy. I know I've used ittis on DD a few times overnight. :)
Yay Maz on getting your cow bling!!! I reckon that it will be fine for size. I have one Daydreamer in M/L and he's still on the first set of snaps and is 10.5-ish kg. Tall and skinny though, but I think it would be fine for a chubba ;) They're sized up to 15kg so you should be right!
I got me a KK from Possum Pouches. I've been stalking since I saw the preview a couple of days ago, I must have refreshed the page just as they were loaded because one minute there was nada, the next I snaffled me a dark green one, it's very spunky. Woo hoo!
WOHB: Cute Tooshies and Sugarpeas wool cover. Due for a change but I'm dreading the kicking and screaming. He's as grumpy as hell today so it's not going to be pretty. OK, I'm heading into no-man's land, if I'm not back in an hour, send in search and rescue... :p
suse.........suse...........SUSE!!!!!
where are you!!!!! its been an hour!! hope you survived!
LOL - we survived... just. E is now asleep (phew... wipes sweat from brow), and I am going to go and lie in the beanbag with a book and possibly fall asleep myself.
then I shouldnt tell you that Mateauz has been asleep since 11am and its what 3 :)...guess what I finally finished for you SUSE...yes their being sent first thing in the morning!! yOu'll jsut have to do the ends yourself woman..sew them in or cut them off...what ever you preferr...but im on a roll with the sewing machine so I thought Id let you do a bit ;)
Of to sew some elastic in some mo mo covers :)
Just got back from a photo shot for the newspaper. OUr playgroup had the cubby house stolen last weekend & they came up to do a story on it. Everyone from playgroup came along so I am hoping Iain is easily spotted in his bright lime green itti LOL.
can the wingdroop occur cause the nappy is a little big? We are using large ittis and I currently do them up on the tightest snaps without using the overlap thingy... maybe I should do that? (Am I making any sense???)
I forgot to tell you ladies, me a MCN newbie has converted someone! She saw pics of my DD on facebook in a MCN and is now thinking about buying some!
FJ - I'm sure he'll be easily spotted in lime green!
WOHB - brown IB
FJ I really hope that they find the idiot/s that stole it! It is a very low act :(
Hope you can fix the wing droop. Lucky we haven't had that yet, could be cos he's so chubby lol
WOHB Panda Shimmer nappy
its happening simply because there is no snap holding up the sides of the front. Their are benifits to haveing two snaps & to having 3. 2 snaps will give you longer inthe nappy as in bigger sizing but 3 will hold up the sides preventing wing drop.
When I did Isla's I thought it was crazy they would only do 2 snaps but now she had a growth spurt around the belly & I can see why only 2 is better once they get to the otter snaps in sizing.
But if you think DD will be in the smaller snap setting for a while then send them on to me & I will add the third snap for you.
You're a star, you know that, right? Thank you, thank you! mwah!:
guess what I finally finished for you SUSE...yes their being sent first thing in the morning!!
??? Huh? Ends? Ends of what? I'm confuzzled honey... (Doesn't take much, I know ;)) I suppose it'll make sense when I see them, huh?:
yOu'll jsut have to do the ends yourself woman..sew them in or cut them off...what ever you preferr...but im on a roll with the sewing machine so I thought Id let you do a bit ;)
FJ - i hope the local rag does a colour photo to show off Iain's MCN!
Suse - good score on the KK AIO, great price.
Mumto Squidgee - yep, you now have seen "Wing Droop 101". useful to see it, cos shows you what to avoid. Wing droop can often translate to leaks. So i wouldn't be using tha tnappy in the car, until you get the wing droop situation sorted out. (just hoping to save you some scrubbing).
us: bilby was toddling up and down the hallway today in training pants and her gumboots and a back to front baseball cap, talk about keeeeeeeeewoooot! i am so biased! no wees in the potty today.
i am thinking now, that beginner trainer pants would be good to have side snaps on one side, like our swim nappies do, would be easiest for Poo Situations whilst TT-ing. Bilby is still not able to pullup trainers up and down by herself. it's definately a learnt skill. I just can't get over, that tiny little butt, after seeing her in MCN for two years, it's a shock to see it so - well - LITTLE!!!
Ahh gigi - the small TT bum...
Mum2smudge- i have had the same prob with wing droop so have added the extra snaps.. i find shild with no hips = really bad droop
Well we had nickers on all day... and no accidents!!!!! we did have nappy at nap time (nanna put on and well it was MJ's lol so was a bit small but still didnt leak.. have now labelled te boxes MCN are in) but other then that all in the toilet!!!
Mas- it was a link to a cow mug on ebay i saw.. just thought of you
FJ- you will have to lonk the article when i comes out
bea - i remember a while ago you gave a nappy rash cream an awesome review, what was it? moo goo doesnt work ATM, i hve been altrnating it with miessence barrier balm, paw paw ointment and sudocreme to no avail. I think we have the rash mainly becaise every nappy is still the newborn explosive poo!
mel - i am going to getone of those eco bubs as soon as i have a bit of fundage, havent even had a chance to fill in the baby bonus forms yet!
fj - that is so low, what kind of absolute low lives steal cubby house from playgroup ffs? I truly hope karma comes their way. is some fundraising being organised to replace it?
as for bling - thinking i would like a bling cover instead of a nappy, more use iykwim.... knowing my luck each time she wears a bling nappy she will poo straight away - didnt even get to show off her maz xmas covers,it was too cold! (global warming my butt!)
wohb: pink bum g
cyber space glitch
arghhh post eaten by cyber space
Kitt3n- its called o****ite flex, its not a cream its like a second skin you put on over the rash, its clear and breathable.. not the best with real runny poos unless you can apply well, cant have any crinkles and cr@p. it can be difficult to apply but is great if the rash is causing pain because it allows them to wee and poo without it coming into contact with the rash
we been using it at night the last few days.. got it sorta cleared up and i decided to use paw paw during the day.. well her bum was worse then ever yest so back to just using the opisite
Cat - fundage... hmm... I need some of that!!!! ;)
No nappy news here. I washed all the wools yesterday - so had DS back in his longies last night. DH was worried they would be a bit hot on him, and I'm like.. nah.. they're wool.. they'll breathe!!!!
He seemed to be ok. Only woke up once that i know of and that was because the cat was trying to sit on his head.
WOAB: Cuddlebums & BBH wool cover
WOMB: Rockmelon sewn in IB that has huge holes in the sewn in booster so I have a microfibre booster attached to it as well. Fingers crossed it does her nap.
mel - if i ever won lotto i'd share the fundagr for my nappy helpers/lovers!
thanks bea, i'll check t out but sounds like it wont work for now on this lil wriggle bum!
lol can you tell im typing one handed these days or was i always so bad??!!
oh - an itti bitti question! the snap ins - the lil tag on the outside is sen in on the waist, not below the waist like the sewn ins..... i assume this would irritate just as much as a tag on clothes would to us..... is it safe to remove it or will that stuff with the stitching of the nappy? hope I make sense???
Dunno about removing it. You may not do any damage to the nappy - but you might harm its resale value?
I got my new washing machine yesterday :D A Bosch front loader! I'm a bit scared of it though. It will be doing it's first load of nappies in about 10 mins time.
I also bought a packet of sposies yesterday too :( Silly me forgot to put nappies in the nappy bag :wall:
ETA do you mean the stitching from the tag irritating?
WOO HOO Samii - new washing machine!!! WTG..what did Trev do with the old banger
Ness - I bought a cow cup from a UK seller of ebay...it stunk of ciggy smoke and when I left feedback he got nasty. Thanx for thinking of us :)
Suse - its the ends of the thread were I started and finished sewing in the elastic babe...you'll see what I mean when you get them. Must say I thought it wasnt making a difference until I looked at them after I finished.
Kitten - wait until you see wha tive got in feb hon...you'll like it alot :)
Gigi - hope you took a pic babe. We didnt worry about TT pants...Vy was done to quick to really think about it as she did it herself without any help from us
Im gonna play with my embroidery machine today so I can make someone a birthday cover :)
Gotta go....take boxes to the recycling depo and then off to order a birthday cake
sam we have a bocsh front loader!! would love a newer one though!!
have to ask you miss sam, did you use flats in hospital? did you use your own covers if you did or snibs?
mel - hmn, harming resale value - do you think after this one and another thry would still be sellable?
raven - i mean the tag itself, they way its sewn in the hard fabric of the tag rubs on her tummy
maz - oh maz you are making me excited, like super excited! just ordered a dragonfly berry plush cover, I wonder if it will be loved as much as your covers?!
AJP - when we had to go to hossy we started off with some of our own nappies, but they told us just to use theirs, so we used the flats without a cover,dh just changed her constantly! yes,..... DH was the nappy changer ( i was too weak to get out of bed so he wa the nappy man for 2 days straight!) so proud of him
wohb-cuddleflece bubblebubs
Cat - yup I would imagine so ;)
Hi All!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We have had lots of fun - I have friends of mine visiting from the US so along with normal Christmas celebrations we have been doing extra stuff with them. They head to the Barrier Reef on Wednesday morning though and Wednesday night DH, DS and I are headed to Sanctuary Point for three nights and four days to celebrate New Year's with the family!
I'm about 99% decided that I'll do cloth and just take my large bucket to throw everything into. I will then bring everything home and wash it here - assuming DH is okay with all that. I was thinking of doing sposies as that would mean DH would do the nappy changes more often and it would give me a break - but I don't think the environment is really worth my having a break from nappies!
I need to wash nappies desperately before we go too but with being out with my friends and the stormy afternoon weather I think I am going to have to wait until tomorrow!! Everything is going to get done last minute on Wednesday before we go!
WOHB: BubbaJ hemp but I'm about to change him and get him dressed to go to the beach
