Thanks FJ. I've measured his rise 3 times cause it seems so tiny and he's still only 36cm and that's being generous!

hi ladies
please ignore my earlier GK question... I just realised if I read things properly, I'll figure it out myself!
WOHB - Happy Heiny
told you maz, you need an assistant! a maz-a-licious empire LOL
WOHB - pink BBB no cover, its so hot!
at a guess, going by the stats, i would buy him a med/large, but i don't have any of that brand to know by experience.
other people on this thread, like Fiona, are much more familiar with the WC fit, i'm sure they would give you the best advice.
but economy wise, i'd much prefer to buy the size my child will soon grow into, rather than a size they will only wear for a short time - i like to get my money's worth!!
Brigsy'sGirl - i think the topic of wetbags DOES come up quite a bit, we all pipe up and say what brand we have, how it's useful.
for the length of time you go out, i think you've already got it sussed. you're a smart cookie, i just agree with what your thinking is already.
baby beehinds wetbag - hold a day's worth of childcare nappies - strong zip - thick PUL - great workhorse - loop on bag.
jamtots - small zippered wetbag - only holds a few nappies
i just saw a monkey doodles one on the darlingsdownunder site - it has a loop too and a decent size, but more money than the baby beehinds one.
i prefer the zips too.
if you use the flushable liners (e.g tots bots or bummi are nice soft ones), and flush them after each pooey nappy when you're out, you aren't carrying around pooey nappies either. i suppose if your bub does formed poo, you can shake those into the loo anyhoo. but what you carry in the wetbag is basically wee nappies (and poo if baby is very young, or still doing sloppy poops) - so zip is important to me.
so go to any major mcn webstore
nurturenappies
theweewuns
darlingsdowununder
babysoftlandings
ozbabytrends
babyblossom
and you'll find wetbags easily.
sometimes it's hard to understand their size by ONLY looking at the photo or pic of the fabric, so helps to get the ruler out, read the dimensions.
for economy, i would just get 2 x baby beehind ones and be done with it
if you want pretty ones, go thru all the listings, happy tushies (wonderbags - two that snap together) have a fantastic range of fabrics to choose from
and if you want a MINKY wetbag, yes they do exist, i know Blueberry makes them (babyblossom and the weewuns), i'm sure some wahms do too, just cant think who right now.
mum2Squidgee - i'd get the greenkids boosters and inserts in bamboo. Even if your bub only requires the booster FOR NOW, it's a pretty safe bet they'll need the insert later. and if you use them for night, you'll need both anyhoo.
greenkids are wide in the crotch, so technically, any bamboo trifold will do the job. the greenkids inserts are good, you can put them in other wide crotch brand nappies too. (like bum genius, happy heiny, OSFA swaddlebees)
oh yeah, i have a cool minky wetbag, pul lined, with a zip, it's a blueberry. You are a clever cookie Gigi.
thanks gigi - will have to go have a looksee now!
Fj - my BB arent soft from sunning either. I will throw them in the Dryer every month or so though (with the rain). I used a smidge of wool wash the other day in my nappies as i had no normal washing powder and they came out nice and soft!
I havebeen told Wool wash is ok on your bamboo mcns
Does anyone know if it is ok to wash your mcns in HOT water reguarlly?
i got kinda fluffy mail :D
anaconda print WC!!!!! can't wait to put that on Jacks butt!!!!!
strip wash in progress.....hmmmm i hope it goes OK
oh yeah - what ws the verdict on woolwash on mcns?
PP - I agree WW does make them nice and soft again....um I wash hot about once a week if that helps. Ive found i dont have to strip wash as much
Gigi - Ive got a huge BBH nappy bag...love it!!!! Its got a loop on the top so I can hang it up in the boot area
ah and PP were do you get your woolies from? I need to be buying some new ones this winter for Mateauz and wanted to start looking now
Gosh this thread is busy but I LURVE reading it - I learn so much every day! Ok I want to measure James - how do I measure rise?? Also I have issue with my Cushie and I have one more coming :( I love the material so much but if I fold the front down it seems SO tight - maybe I should move the snaps like you suggested Mz?Im sure mum would know how! It just seems so tight on that setting on his belly - he is over 6 kgs.... but if I leave it it tends to leak around the leg.
Also can I use the booster from my BG in a GK without anything else? Im still waiting for the GK inserts. You ladies are gem! :)
BG -Thanks for all the wet bag questions Im about to buy one myself!
Maz - what are HB's?
Lea - what are the Eenee pants?
Gosh Im not even away for 24 hours and 5 pages!!! Geez ;) Good to see more BBers are joining in.
Stupid question how do you decide if your fluffy mail is lost?? Cz Ive been waiting 2 months for something of b4b . They didnt have a great rep, they asked the money be deposited in a friends account and said registered post was unneccessary. Grrr I really wanted it too.
WOHB: green peapod
Tan - try it babe what have ya got to lose?
Anna - honey boys chicki..their an AIO FABO!!!!! but yes hard to get hold of now
rhyb - report them babe...thats just not right
AnnaT- HB is a honey boy i would think. Can;t help ya on the eenee pants though...
Tanstar - I found with a few of Jett's nappies that they would fit around the waist but not around the leg. Wht I ended up finding that worked was putting the back of his nappy a little further up his back so the front was a little lower. This angle seemed to bring the legs in a little tighter and I was able to get the correct fit. Just something to try possibly before moving snaps and things! HTH :D
Re Woolies - I suppose they arent suitable for up where I live right? I mean considering they are wool and all it would make the boys hot (and they sweat alot as it is). Winter wear Im guessing?
Anna - wool is much better than any polycotton or PUL as it is a natural fibre and breathes.
Maz - my favourite woolies are definately lamajama's , Other ones i have bought from other clothy mums online. But i honestly love the thickness of the lamajamas (DD even wears them now during summer!). they r 12 ply. You can often get them on sale from darlings and nuture nappies :
If you PM me i ll give youa few other sites that list cloths and woolies for sale preloved :)
HB i got in a swap and it is gorgeous. I think i posted a pic in my folder - the dragonfly on the bum.
They are an AIO (true) so take a bit longer to dry
I will be hot washing in future i feel! :) Esp since i think DD's poos have caused the blisters which i think is a thrush now! ewww - we are swapping to soy too to see if that stops the poos from being so nasty.
Rhysb- yep definately complain. Not sure if you will see your money again though. And i would in future insist on Paypal as it will protect you :)
