lol... actually they didn't wake up last night so I got about 5 hours of blissful uninterrupted sleep

RayRay - the sherpa seems to be a bit harder to source - have recently seen that NappiesCovered got some more in. Maybe FJ will know of somewhere too.

    SHellsbells:
here are some brands that make nb covers with leg gussets:
    - bambino mio (at ecobabe)
    - imse vimse (at nurture nappies and newagenappies) two sort, cotton velour stripes and soft PUL prints e.g zoo and jungle
    - thirsties
    - bummibrites (at the weewuns amongst many others)
    - motherease (the rikki, NOT the airflow)
    - some of the tots bots covers, but not all
    - bummi polar covers

BG - oh of course, bamboo velour! that would make the Best wipes! soooo soft. If Mazzie "gets" you with anything, it will be "with kindness"!!!

and Kitten, was it you who asked do the Cute Tooshies Bamboo delights stay soft? i think they do, but i dry the mcn indoors and give it 3 mins tumble dry. and use a very gentle front loader. sometimes, the conditions the nappies go thru, have an impact on how they end up. Follow manufacturer's care instructions and you'll be fine.

wotbb: dorothy knickers, having a nap (i can't believe it myself) on a nappyfree time mat, so when/if she wees, i can just chuck the mat in the washer. She's held on since 9am! it's now nearly 2pm. surely she has to do something soon!

Yes, the Very Rare WHite Tiger Minky tricked me for the last several months, thinking i had a ZEBRA print ha ha!

Have to say..i must be lazy...I have a LS and I forget to use the dame thing...I was just use to scrapping pooh all the time
    You? Lazy?

    nah

just a bit distracted i think! (understatement of the century) with all that you fit into your life! i think just having four kids in itself, is enough excuse to be super busy!

oh yeah, do any of you Vic girls live in driving distance of Bendigo? i'm thinking it's north of melb by two hours? (unsure).

teruteru - I was the same as you in regards to the LS, but DH has just finished installing his homemade one, and it is so much easier!!! I can't believe how much easier it is to rinse nappies! You wont regret getting one!

Rhyb - dont know exactly how he did it, but my DH got all the stuff from bunnings for me... think it ended up costing about $30... I can try and get some instructions off him if you like

not much new with us.. DD had her giraffe CT on yesterday for the 1st time and pooed in it before I could take a photo!

Bendigo is a nice day trip distance Gigi. Not quite 2 hours. What you up to?
BTW seeing as you're the front loader guru any tips on the best way to keep my velour nappies un-flattened? They are kind of looking matted.

    Mel WTG on the sleep

Kitt3n the dryer makes the cute tushies nice and soft but don't use it on hot because it makes the velour go matted and shrink. Let them dry on the line and finish them off on low or cool. Speaking from personal experience here because I wrecked mine

    ....
i saw on the greenkids site they do have boosters instock... who said they don't have them????
for a while, their stocks were down, then maybe two weeks ago (??) they announced they had new stocks of boosters back in.

May the "Fluff" be with you tomorrow, when you're installing the LS, obi wan kanobi!

Raven - my MIL has been in a Melb hosp since Dec (one operation booked, that went pearshaped, then another operation two days later), and she's going downhill. Her original stay of a few days, has blown out to two months and counting. She has never met bilby. Her only response to bilby all this time has been "she's very noisy", when bilby is making baby noises in the background (phone conversations). Her other GDD is two months older than bilbs, so i thought she would be used to the amount of noise that babies/toddlers make. I don't know, it would have been nice if she could say SOMETHING positive about bilby just once. We'd send cute photos - her response would be "she's a very big baby, what are you feeding her".

Doctors are hoping to ambulance transfer her to her hometown hospy (BGO), and we are thinking of taking bilby to meet her, cos no-one is sure about her health. Good thing is nobody medical has mentioned pallitative care, but her DD who is there, is worried, that MIL could "go" at any time. So regardless of my r'ship with DP, we are planning to go visit her, so she can see bilby - she may not even register us - her dementia has really cranked up - but at least, we will have tried to make a meeting possible.

    so this meeting could be
    - in BGO, if the transfer happens and is successful, we would have free accom there, so not rushed, may or may not have a car
    - in MELB, if she is not well enough to travel, this would be rushed, cos have to pay for accom.

DH has just had 10 days leave to visit his other DD interstate, so i am sure his work will be thrilled when he asks for "special leave" to go see his mum.

and i could not come to Vic without telling you lot! I must sound like a cold fish, but i tried to get to know MIL years ago, she really let me know she didn't need another DIL (she really liked dp's 2nd wife), and really, she's a stranger to me (who said very judgemental stuff to me the whole, short time i spent with her - i think my fault was that i was not Wife#2). Of course i am sad for DP and his sister and SD, all of whom have a r'ship with MIL. I don't like to think of MIL suffering, what she is goign thru sounds awful.

Raven - if you want to edit all that out, cos it's not MCN related, feel free. I put it here cos there are so many Vic girls on this thread, i don't really understand where you all live (in relation to BGO), but i guess i live in hope (seeings i didn't make it to your last Vic meetup, which i had my heart set on).

i am already planning i'll have MCN on bilby for this trip, and when she meets her Gran for the first time. And she'll get to meet her little cousin, aunt and uncle too. This is huge, considering our entire relations here, consists of one person.

wotbb: about to peek into the back area of the unit, to see how far bilby's business has travelled - she moves alot in her sleep.

Gigi - i live about 2 hours out the other side of melbourne, so about 4 hours from Bendigo - but if your MIL is in Melb when you come down, let us know and if there is a meet up arranged i'll do my best to get down there - Bendigo is just a little tooooooooooo far!

OMG you girls can talk. I'll have to catch up properly later. I think I read up to midday and really have things to do now so I will read the rest when the kids are in bed tonight.'

Went to see Janie at The Wee Wuns. I wasn't going to buy much but OMG those Blueberrys are divine. I bought 3 and a Blueberry wetbag. Don't tell DH!!!! I'll blame Viv she wanted me to buy them all. Will try and take a photo of the better part of my stash to share with you all if you're interested.

Question about BBH wool covers. I got one today from BBH via Lea ... Do I need to lanolise it? If so, how and where do I buy it???
