I prefer the sewn in right now - I put the snap in one today and I matched up the coloured snaps but the trifold insert didn't seem to sit right for some reason with the other bit that goes over the top = not sure what Im doing wrong.

I prefer the sewn ins because my little Jett man has legs that are too skinny for the snap-ins. leaves him with too much leg gape and far too much poo escape for anybody's liking!!

Tan - I found that the first time I used the IB snap in, so spoke to IB and they explained that it sits funny when it isn't on baby, but when you stretch it to fit on to them they sit properly! I am glad I am not the only one that found that!

Ooh, Gigi - I can't remember my criteria either, but I think it was AIOs other than IB that have a low rise, narrow crotch without the suedecloth inner.

i got my neclaces from amberbebe .. they came in a set it was supposed to be for gabriella but nixon is now wearing it as his molars are coming through ... and wow it has made such a difference

well i got a load of fluff , but it wasnt for me :( it was for a cust that i am dropping off to her tomorrow .. i havent opened the parcel but i can smell the billy goat soap inside .. mm mm

with moogoo , i got the msm cream , its sooo lush , i am seriously considering chucking out all the crap and just stickinh to moo goo for the kids .. im out of body wash ..but the nearest stockist is about 60ks away ...

i hope my fluff comes soon , am wating on a WC and maz and BP cover , in baby pink ..

Sam- i still dont have gab in BBB she has no butt and it bunches in the crotch for her , i have to do it up reaaallly tight as her hips are teeny too ... she can fit 0000 in pants so ive stopped buying med naps and stiucking to the ones that have a bigger size range in the smalls ....

Tan, your possibly looking at the nappy through unstretched eyes. If you stretch out the nappy as your putting it on then all the boosters will fall into place.

i just scoped out moo goo suppliers locally - nothing! though there is one not too far from DH's bosses place - not that we go there often (and if we do, we're normally in a b-double that can't go up the main street of town) but my folks go up there every now and again as they are still finalising my nan's estate through the solicitor there, so i told mum if they're going, she needs to let me know

the postage costs would be cheaper than the fuel costs to go there - vic is waaaaaaaaaaay behind in the number of suppliers - if i had a baby shop or something in the area, i'd seriously consider it!

there aren't any suppliers close to me..so postage it will have to be :(

for sure - i think moogoo mail will be almost as exciting as fluffy mail the first time!

there isn't ONE moo goo supplier in my state, so by post, is the ONLY way i can buy it.

we use the shampoo and conditioner (all the supermarket ones give all of us itchy scalps), so i order one shampoo and two conditioners at once (i have longish hair). i think the postage costs are very reasonable, what you buy is very heavy, so i think if they charged you waht it actually costs, i wouldn't be able to do it.

i like their double cream for my very flaky hands, i put the soothing cream on bilby's mozzie bites tonight.

their hair products are the reason i haven't had ANY spilt ends, the last two years. First time in my life i can remember this ever happening.

i agree with FJ. when you pick up a nappy, it's all bunched up, cos baby is not in it.

when baby is in it, the rise stretches out, and that is when you get a fair indication of how the booster will sit.

that's why it's easy to cut out liners TOO short for e.g - if you just measure the UNSTRETCHED OUT nappy. i can say this, cos that's what i did (as a newbie). LOL, i have made every mistake in the book!!!

Swaddlebees INSERTS update: whilst using the MEDIUMS, i found the easiest thing to stuff the pockets with, was the actual SB custom made inserts. i ahve noticed now with the LARGES, i can actually get a trifold in the bigger sized pocket. Good to have the option. At one stage, people were asking about this, i have no idea which forum i'm on, where people were asking, but JIC it's this one, well, there you go.

(i forget who says what, sooooo many posts from sooo many people, i get mixed up).

Tried to explain to bilby tonight, that if she pees in the potty, i'll put a STAR sticker on her hand, but she just got angry that she knew i had star stickers, but she wasn't getting one. Hmmm. Not sure if rewards will work with her.

She's adamant she WON"T wear knickers at all, the last few days. But still v.keen on flushing the loo!

Nup...close if you mean opposite!! ;) I need an AIO, pref sized, but open to suggestion, low rise with narrow crotch and not suedecloth....:lol: I think you do a brilliant job at keeping up with all our questions!!

I have ordered online from moogoo several times, and find they have the stuff shipped to me two days later. And she always throws in samples to try. ATM DH is using their shampoo (I haven't tried the conditioner yet), I have their udder cream (perfect for the nappy bag), full cream (lives at the changetable, yummy moisturizer and great for those first signs of redness) and double cream (for me!!) and love their body wash. I have also received samples of their soaps and lip balm and I love all of it! I am waiting for the MSM soothing cream to come back in as I am planning on getting that too!

Well what did I say...

Amber teething necklace... I got mine from inspiredbyfinn dot com. Wonderful! I got the chips, they are individually tied on with a screw clasp so no breaking. I got 2, 1 small and 1 med and it cost me AUD$37 (was only a few weeks ago too) which was very reasonable considering they are in USA ;)

Itti Bitti, I have a few snap ins which I don't really use. I love my sewn ins better :) Fit is better, they seem more comfy. I noticed the snap ins seem sorta hard. I ended up taking out the IB boosters and snapping in a mirabai booster set from my other nappies, just because Ashton is allergic.

WC news, I spoke to Michelle and am very excited about getting my customs! I am getting bamboo velour inners, since Ash is allergic to the fleece which sucks, so no more lining them with Bizy Bee boosters!

Moo goo is on my want list when the $ can afford it!

I ended up getting the matching tee with the Holden nappy! Can't wait to get it :) DP is going to go mental, he loves Holdens!

Well I am torn, DP wants me to keep all the nappies 'for the next baby' but I know that will be in 2011 at the earliest... I want to sell some... what do you think? anyone had luck storing them?

Interesting info i came across tonight

I didn't use the PVC pilchers on my child, cos i was warned not to, for a variety of reasons. But i never actually knew WHY pvc was to be avoided.

now i have an idea, after reading this info, on the calunaloves retail site, it was under their "pvc-free bibs" section

but i thought some of you might be interested to know, too. I have been looking at some cute PVC toddler backpacks - umming and aahing whether to get one for bilby, and the fumes/smells have put me off buying them, now i am glad i didn't get one.

What is PVC? Why take the risk? PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is a plastic that requires toxic chemicals to make it stable and soft for use in many baby items. Babies develop by exploring through their senses, often through putting things in their mouths. You can minimise the risk of ingestion of nasty chemicals by removing PVC products from your child's environment. Although Europe and Japan have banned PVC products intended for children under 5, many infant PVC products are still available in Australia.

I am interpreting that as, that pvc pilchers are NOT allowed to be sold in Europe and Japan. The type in our kmarts, big w, target etc.

Vinyl Chloride is a known human carcinogen. Lead and Cadmium, common stabilisers for PVC, are toxic - especially to young children. The plasticisers used to soften PVC, phthalates (pronounced thay-lates), have been shown to disrupt reproductive functions. Over time, PVC products break down, releasing these harmful chemicals into your child?s environment, mainly by being present on the surface of PVC products.and for anyone after a cheap nappy bag, Calunaloves has got nappy bags for $20, seconds due to a possible misaligned zip at top, worth checking out. it's made of canvas, so you can wash it.

itti bitti are The Low Rise Nappy in the mcn world.

i am not sure i can think of any brand aio that does all the things you need (i mean, in ONE nappy).

• i can think of aio without suedecloth inners (but are wide crotched and not low rise). I do think you're very much more likely to score what you're looking for, in a sized aio, rather than a OSFA one.
• i'm having a hard time thinking of an aio with a narrow crotch, but i can think of POCKETS with narrow crotch
• itti bitti IS the low rise brand, hard to think of any others that do low rises.

Maybe someone else in our thread will be able to think of one for you.

WHen you shop around, for your MCN Quest, you can make it a bit easier on yourself, e.g not to buy something that doesn't suit, by mistake.

• if you think, ok, the crotch width of our itti bitti, is what i like best, then go measure, "what is the crotch width exactly". Write it down.
• any mcn you consider buying, email them and say "what is the crotch width of your brand?" if it matches up your measurement, or close - go for it. it it's alot bigger, you'll be able to save yourself a disappointment.
• cos sometimes, just reading the word "trim" (in the product listing) is not enough. Different brands consider different widths to be trim.

• if you think, ok, the rise of nappy X, is what i like on my bub, go measure what that is, compare it with the rise of any mcn your'e considering buying. If rise is not stated, email the owner/maker and ask.

i wish i had done this, in the first year of my buying mcn, i bought SO MANY things that were plainly unsuitable for bilby, as soon as i tried them on her, i could see that. Expensive lesson for me to learn.

if you are avoiding suedecloth
are you avoiding microfleece also? (as nappy inner)
cos both are 100% synthetic.

Have you considered broadening your "Quest" by also looking at pocket and all in two nappies?
both styles - you are putting on ONE item
with pockets, you stuff them BEFORE you put them on baby
with Ai2 - you snap in the boosters BEFORE you put them on baby

so if only having ONE thing to put on bubs is your concern, i think pockets and ai2's might be of interest to you as well. Certainly would broaden your chances.

TERU - i only mentioned the nappy shops, cos i thought you might like the opportunity to see online brands, IRL. not to buy, but to see, touch and get an idea of what they look like IRL. No worries if you're not into seeing the shops, just giving you the option.

MUMTUM - you reminded me, yes i bought the goat's milk soap too, adn that has been very good for my skin.

i noticed the Woolies own brand NAYTURA Natural Toothpaste, has parabens in it. (parabens cause skin irritations in many people).

I am finding that I always have to hit the back button and try to post 3 times before it appears. I press post and then it disappears, so I press back and then post again, and then I have to answer another question and then it posts. It really is a PITA!!! Well, everything is pretty normal here, not much happening. Sarah is getting good at dressing herself, she knows tags go at the back. So she takes her nappy off in the morning and gets herself dressed.

Tan - I use BBB for DD overnight with a short sleeved bodysuit - she has a soaker on as well, but since wool breathes, I'm not worried about her being too hot. And its been muggy as here. I also use Green Kids overnight on DS - so then I don't have to even have a soaker on him if its really muggy (he sweats a lot too - think its a boy thing)
