Took DS to the doctor today for his shots and she complimented me on my nappy (fitted and Maz longneck cover) saying it's refreshing to see cloth as it's so rare nowadays. Plus the girls at reception really liked his animal print butt.

shellsbells - I just pick the lint out of the velcro with my fingernails. Which is a horrible feeling, but I'm pedantic.
Scuse me, I'm liguistically challenged today (isn't that a pasta dish?)... It's actually the inside of the tabs I meant, tho! If you turn the whole BumG shell inside out, and the stretchy bit where the velcro is attached, that's where I find great chunks of lint and fuzz. Could just be my shoddy washing machine maybe. But the loop part of the velcro is not holding on a couple that I just had replaced a couple months back coz the stictching was coming apart on them. But they do the job pretty well for now, and DP can use them for the few random occasions he actually changes a nappy, so they can stay a bit longer. I'm plotting to replace some though.

Suse - yeah, I leave the BumGs when DS is wearing clothes. That's most of the time down here in Mexico! They're looking worse every day now that it's hot and he's commando crawling all over the house in them. I want to get more blueberries instead, and I'd quite like side-snapping ones. Maybe more BP...
We nearly had a repeat performance on the potty today, but DP interrupted things to say goodbye before going to work, and DS just wouldn't sit down again. I got a nappy on him just in time for a poop, and it was straight off again. Darn.
I hear you on the no-sleep thing, too... we had the same night by the sounds of it, and he's had a total of 6 minutes nap this morning. Porridge-brains make me feel so useless, added to PMS and I'm just a mess. Nothing makes sense and there's no chocolate left in the house. Someone's gonna pay!

And the snaps on the mama pads, that's really annoying me right now. I gots me a few different ones but they're all too narrow for boy-leg undaroos! Scrunchy bum.

Gigi - are you using rosehip oil on your finger?? It's great for scarring and nerve damage. I know exactly how it must be feeling, since I took the front of my knuckle off with a meat slicer once... *shudders* I put the bit back on (before passing out) and it healed ok, just a bit crooked, but the tingling from the nerve damage felt wierd for ages. Rosehip helped lots.

Oh, geez, you girls are all too quick for me. Had to interrupt this post to rescue my nappies from blowing to Tasmania. The gazebo has shifted three feet!

WOHB: Blueberry, and I got matching maz BP. Is that naff??

Got my 2nd iish fly order today - a gorgeous black minkee with a rocket embroidered on the butt, and a brown cord (not so keen on the cover) but it's got an awesome fire engine embroidered on it so it makes up for the interesting cover.

Ty wore his blueberry's today - he looked very handsome.

Still have to lanolise the BBH wool cover. I bought some Lanisoh so I'll check up on NC or in another thread to see how to do it. I think I know from memory but will check all the same. Not really in any rush as a Maz cover's working fabulously. Need more!!!

Trying really hard to stay away from booroi.

Qn: what do people carry their cloth wipes in when they're out? Should I buy a 'wipes' wetbag?

    WOHB: Camo blueberry

    oooh clickety-click maz! waiting impatiently...

wipes - I chuck a few wet/damp ones in a zip-lock bag, but there's always a few dry ones in the nappy bag and a small atomiser bottle that fits in my purse. I usually have a couple of wet face washers in a zip-lock bag as well if I'm going out at a "meal" time (DS is just getting into solids, by which I mean mush...).
