BG - Bless you, darl, I hope everything's going ok at your place. Praying the cool change makes it your way, and blows things in the right direction out there. Curse the firebugs. Absolute stupidity. Be safe!

Gigi - How come when you're finally coming to Melbs, I have someone staying in my bungalow?? Oh, but it's a horrid little sweatbox at the moment and even I wont go in there... So, hopefully you've got all your bookings and stuff sorted now. I know when we flew to Qld a few weeks ago DS was great on the plane (and he's an intense, "high-needs" kid) but the change facilities are so miniscule it's ridiculous. The flight to Melbourne is short and hopefully the cabin crew will be nice and help keep Bilby entertained. Don't worry too much if Bilby wont feed for the take-off or landing, the pressure in the cabin is more problematic for little bubs. You can rub the front of the ear for her if it hurts, or make her yawn or swallow. DS didn't show any distress at all. My XH worked for Qantas, and my DP worked for Emirates, and I have friends who work in Customs. You really shouldn't have any issues with laundry powder, as long as it's in your suitcase, not carry-on bag!! Sheesh, I travelled overseas with my entire knife bag (28 chef's knives) and nobody said a thing. Just don't go sprinkling it around the terminal, or mentioning "anthrax"!
Car seats, if you haven't sorted one yet, can be hired. I went thru a company called ABC nursery hire, they were great and will have a clean, virtually new car seat in your hire car waiting for you of you've booked one. Three weeks cost me $60. I took way too many MCN with me, though, but I vac-packed them all. Only prob was the bag broke the day before we were due to leave, but I got another one cheap, and got them all home again, plus 3 extra Wild Child NN (and a sachet of laundry powder!).
So anyway, when are we meeting up??? huh??

We don't have A/C and our power went out yesterday from 4.45pm till after 8. GHASTLY. I spent 4 hours at the mall enduring the worst kind of muzak, and I had to change DS in the horrible parents room which was being kept a toasty 28 degrees and the bins were overflowing with sposies - URK!! Then I get home to a baking house and dead plants, open the door, turn on the fan and it immediately stops. No power. DS was screaming by then. Went to run a cold bath for him, turned on the cold tap and burned myself with the scalding hot water that came out! I was screaming then! Had to wait an hour and a half before DP got home, and we ended up driving around in the car for ages to keep cool. All I can say is that I'm so glad DS isn't teething so hardcore at the moment, and all his nappies were clean, coz the nappy buckets were practically melting in the laundry.

oh, um, nappies, um... I got fluffy mail. The HH keyrings are sooo cute!

WOHB: sweaty chilli HotBot sandman and a red fleece cover.
