*Sigh* Why is it that the cyclone warning comes not even 12 hours after DH has flown out? My backyard hasn't had a chance to drain properly yet so I might end up with mud flinging itself around But having never seen a cyclone before I have no idea what to expect!!
BG - So glad your house is OK. Getting rid of cooch is not such a bad thing though Hoping your friends have somewhere to stary while their homes are rebuilt. So typical about the rumor mill .
Sarah - I will call you. Sorry I havent already.
I now finally have a dishwasher!!! Only been asking for 4 years!!! So that reduces what I have to do standing with my pelvis the way it is.
Em's rash is now starting to clear up, she has one spot on her leg where it is worst, and that is pretty much all that is left.
Teruteru, I wouldn't be able to handle no purchases until 8 months - full respect luv... the superstition I have encountered means that I can buy but it can't be in my house until after 12 weeks so MIL place seemed the perfect spot seeing as they went out and bought stuff the day after we told them he he he
eugiena - can you pm me if ur lurking ??
alioops did you get my email?? i sent it just before my puter crashed so maybe you didnt ..

Ali, we've bunkered down here too and TBH Im hoping we see atleast some crazy winds and mega rain cause Im getting a bit sick of being warned, panicking (as first timers to cyclone season do) only to have it not eventuate lol Im sick of using my dryer too so Im hoping Cyclone Ellie send some of this rain to the lower states to give them a break from fires and extreme heat and brings our sunshine back.
Rhyb, glad to see you back, was wondering where you'd gone off too! Hope your feeling even better now. I nearly outbid you on the Snoozywuns but when I saw your username I backed away
Welcome to the crazy addictive world of MCNs Tk
WOJ(sleeping)B - erm a haute pocket of some colour.....
WOR(sleeping)B - HH pirate pocket.
tk- 8mths n not shopping for the bub was really really hard haha. we kinda sneaked in a thing or 2 without the ILs knowing. its the oldies that said it so we have to listen *sigh*
Er ok have a question before I forget AGAIN to ask it......
Jett has pee'd through the Sandman TWICE in a row. Ive got the snap-in booster and an extra, yet he still manages it. Its preloved so definately nice and washed-in. Is it maybe cause Im not putting a cover over it (Didnt cross my mind to ask if it needed one heh) or should I add another booster and see how we go?
According to Dh Rip apparently pee'd through a BBH fitted and Maz cover he had on overnight although Im thinking that may be cause he left him in it to have breaky etc as he'd pooped as well (which usually comes after an hour of being up).
Anna - It wouldn't been so darn scary if I wasn't on my own with the girls. I can handle a bushfire on my own (living on a vineyard in Adelaide in bushfire season does that to you) but I don't know what to expect or where to go if something does happen IYKWIM. I have brought everything in the yard under shelter and the swings are well pegged down, but I dont know if that is enough. Good thing I filled up my tank yesterday!!
Lea - Yes, but I had to buy 3 new tyres this week to pass the roadworthy on the car that is for sale. That took a big chunk out of my budget. Will work something out with you.
I really should do some washing. I so can't be bothered right now though. I guess if I use some water then the dam might have some room made to help with the flooding we are expecting
ETA: Anna - Try using a wool soaker or a cover over the sandman. Most night nappies do need covers.

Ali - Id offer our place but we're in a worse spot than you lol I wouldnt worry too much, doesnt seem to be anything major to worry about just going to rain and rain some more.
Ok forget I asked about the Sandman, they need a cover (duh). Going to have to see what I can find that fits over it cause they are chunky nappies!
Just got home from a fabulous afternoon with Gigi, DH and Tiny Bilby. We had a great time - they're all so lovely. We talked for hours and the only reason I had to leave was because schools back tomorrow and Blake starts kinder tomorrow so I want the kids home, fed, bathed and into bed before it got too late.
MELBOURNE GIRLS: if anyone is interested in catching up tomorrow, she would love to meet you. She doesn't have internet at the motel so either post on here, PM me, or for those who know, SMS me so I can let her know that you're interested and I can swap mobile numbers with you for her if you dont' have it. She left her mobile charger at home so they're using DH's phone. We caught up at the Doncaster Hotel, only because the park we were going to play at was too hot with the equipment in the sun all day. It worked well and might be an option for tomorrow if it suits anyone.
WOHM: Bits for bots cowprint fitted with a long neck Maz cover
Aw crud, I dont have any and its the only nappy he'll wear to bed now. Might have to hunt up a large of something else til I can get some maz covers or shorties.
Can you just sleep him on towel (in the nappy!! lol) until you get a cover? Or if you do have a large pocket nappy you can try using that as a cover maybe...
Anna - you probably got compression leakage through teh BBH and cover in the monring....fleece acts like a barrier but if a nappy is full to the brim its going to compress through.
Rach can you send Gigi my love.....I jsut cant justify driving down in this heat for 3 hours and then drivnig home 3 hours.....im totally exhausted from doing nothing but I wish I could meet her
Going to do for a drive in my disco van as the aircon rocks in it and I have a hanckering for Chinesse
ali - get everything out of the backyard, patio etc. Leave NOTHING around, this includes patio table/chairs, the wind is dangerous in a cyclone. Keep doors and windows closed, and don't go near them in the cyclone. If/when the cyclone hits, head for the smallest room in the house (bathroom/toilet) and stay in there. It's the safest room of the house. Make sure you have plenty of water supply, candles, torch & canned food JIC.
nappy news - Emily leaked through a magical today in just over an hour! I wasn't impressed. Nina got a massive rash this week from her magicals which she's in at night. It's so bad we're using sposies on her at night to try and clear it up.
Well my boys are big wetters so that makes sense Maz! Dunno what to do about it though........
Thanks for the offer Ali, will see how I go with an improv pocket nappy cover first but if that doesnt work Id love a loan of the soaker when I see you next, atleast then I know if I like them enough to buy them or not
Well if you are concerned about flooding tomorrow, you are welcome at my place. I could do with some company anyway!! I am on higher ground so we should be safe.
