annat - got my set from amber bebe, but the baby necklace is stitll too long for gabs , she crawls around with it in her mouth ... i just connected the mum and bub neclacke together so i have a really long one ,.. it goes with my outfits  ive never had mastitis since ive worn/had it !!!
hoping to get my ittis today ..
going camping tomorrow for 2 night .. brrr its going to be cold .. taking cloth for day and sposies for night as if they wet too much i dont want them to be cold and uncomfy kwim ... ..
ummm for some reason my nappy bucket is missing .. went to wash it and its gone !!!!!!! i hope my mum didnt do a load when i was at the doctor yesterday !!
We got our teething necklace from America....less than $20AUD including free postage :) it NEVER comes off!!!!! it isn't too long either... quite a nice fit
hmmm nappy related.... hmmmm it is a sad day here...i think all of our medium IB's have to be packed away...they are just too small :( how sad....Fluff is going to be sitting collecting dust :(
ok, quick question that's not at all fluffy... what kind of nappy bucket do you use?
Reason I ask is I have a couple of Infa buckets someone got for me (DP or dad, can't remember, I was still pg). The lids have broken on both of them (overuse? or just cr@ppy plastic?). I need to replace them asap. Cheap and cheerful suggestions please?
fluff-a-holic - can I be fluff-o-matic? Maybe when Jack's up and walking, the medium ittis will fit again? I was about to retire the BPs we have but since DS is cruising and almost walking, he's gotten a bit skinnier.
NaNa...hmmm quite possible...BUT the way this boy is eating he will be needing extra large nappies!!!!!!
I hope my bubblebubs arrive today!!!!
He He, I don't use a nappy bucket perse  - I use an old protein powder bucket, they have relaly good bendy, sealable lids. I think you can get the same sort of bucket from Bunnings and Mitre 10 for concrete and paint etc if you want to be an el cheapo like me.
Really hope my Bamboo Boosters get here soon, DD wet through her Couture last night in only 6 hours and was none too happy to be stripped at 4am, DH actually woke up and came and checked what was happenning she was objecting at me so loudly - and that's saying something.
DH then heard our damn mouse that won't die besides having 4 traps in the kitchen with tasty treats in them and tried to kill it with a broom  (he has great dellusions about his speed vs a mouse, sigh - think I am going to have to get the old fashioned snap traps, this mouse is too clever and won't crawl into the no see or humane type ones) That's not really nappy related, but hey, I should only have to clean up one little creatures poop NOT two, especially when one is a terrifying little disease carrier.
Am wondering if the bamboo fitteds from Baby beehinds with both boosters & a tri-fold booster and wool cover would work for a good night nappy? WHen they eventually get in that is, I like the BBH Hemp, it seems really good quality, so am keen to get the bamboo one's. The NN's are really expensive!
NaNa - I think we have the same nappy buckets as you (from BigW, the white ones?). I have 3 going at once - one for River in his room, one for big lads wet nappies just inside the babygate at the laundry (so Ds1 can put his nappies in the 'wash') and one for big lads poop nappies in the kids toilet where the LS is. Seems excessive now I think about it but I have 3x nappies including one very poopy newborn and by bedtime 2 of the 3 buckets are overflowing. Maybe I should buy a big wheelie bin or something  Sas's idea is a good one though, Id go check out Bunnings.
Urgh got our power bill in and nearly had a heartattack even though I knew it would be big being core-of-the-earth hot up here so the a/c's get a workout - now I feel naughty for even thinking about increasing the River-stash but I am so sick of madly washing and hanging up BBHs overnight then having to run them through the dryer anyway to get them soft and fully dry just to use them and do it all over again the next night *sigh* I thought b'fed babies werent supposed to poo as much as ff'ed babies.....Thankgod I bought my Widdlewuns before the bill came haha
AnnaT hun...personally....BF bubs poo more than FF bubs!!!!!! Jack when BF was pooing EVERY nappy change...since being on formula...is every 2nd/every day....but only once a day...
Hmmm got a heap of nappies to wash....best be off to get them started...
I gave up catching up on all the chatter when I hit p3, just too much for my little brain atm...my last 2 weeks have been hell due to multiple family matters on all fronts. at least dp n I have worked things out now, but there's still my mums husband (refuse to call him anything else cos he's so full of it) and dad n dp...tbh I'm gonna start breaking down but at least I got dp to back me up now. Having a lack of friends means I depend on him for most everything n when we have cracks I'm a lost cause iykwim.
amist all this dilemma I have a crawly clingy Monsta to keep my mind at bay thus I'm hardly online anymore. he's been my alarm clock every morning crawling all over the bed then an hr later he feeds n conks out lol.
Anyhow I really need a fluff fix to make myself feel better. After meeting Gigi the other day I think I'm gonna look into some narrow crotch night nappies n flongies/longies. I know its been talked to death before but I would appreciate if I can be told where to look as my time in cyberspace is somewhat limited n restricted to my phone too (as my Monsta likes to play with my lappy)...
This is what I'm after:
* narrow crotch night nappy (not too fussed abt pattern) preferably pocket
* Monsta is just short of 7mths n is 7.3kg
* he's not a huge wetter (using magicall atm) but JIC he decides to change overnight
Not quite nappy related but how would minky fair as pillowcase n mittens? Monsta's eczema is still not quite settled so need something soft for him to sleep on n also so he doesn't do night attacks on his face (hence the mittens)
TIA I've gone blank so much lately that I have no idea where to look for things no more
Lea, it's funny but my MIL keeps itching to get her hands on my nappies to wash them! She doesn't understand I only wash every second day so every time she's here I have to specifically tell her not to touch them. I just don't trust anyone with them. Sad, I know.
Teruteru, I find that the Genesa Forge nappies have a fairly narrow crotch and they are great night nappies. I'm a big fan and the fit is good for my girl who needs narrow crotch nappies.
I haven't been around for a while and I won't even try to catch up with what's been happening so hello everyone :hello:
thanx for the bucket tips! paint bucket sounds good an' cheap, and a lot sturdier than my broken ones!
teru - the GF NNs aren't pockets, but they're fairly narrow in the crotch and customisable!
Anna - I have 3 buckets too. 2 Roger Armstong ones from Target (they are bigger) and 1 infa one for daycare. It works well for S to know exactly which bucket he needs. With the power - The AC's are on the tarrif aren't they? Much cheaper to run them than the dryer ;) we found that if the dryer gets used lots our power bill is double, even with constant use of the AC's. So definitely worth building the stash to avoid using the dryer.
Kellie - Try putting a silk liner in, or you coule even try turning over the mini booster and having the bamboo against her, but keep an eye on how wet she is because it won't draw away the moisture.
Can't remember who asked but the MPM does have a thread and makes jewelery. She has decided to make them a regular range and said they should be about 2 weeks, depending on how much her new bubba sleeps.
I got an update from Greenbeans - my parcel is already on it's way!!!
Sas - What is it with guys thinking they are quick enough? Mine did that in our old house too!! We lived on a vineyard so the place was crawling with them and they wouldn't let us have the cat :wall:
Eej - I have a boohoo room thread about my appointment *mutters something about fuddy duddy Ob who is too lazy to see his complicated patients*
Well BBH Bamboo was on yesterday :( i used it for 1/2 hour and DD was crying and pulling her nappy. The wool cover was reacting with her skin and started getting welts on her her. it wasnt tight so i know it wasnt rubbing so i will get rid of the cover and see how she goes with a different one. has this happened to anyone else???
Ordered more BL... thanks Mel... Naughty enabler... always so tempting...
Thought i would have received my Lou lou today but nope... :( of well fluffy mail next week too... this week has gone so fast...

yay! Now to hide them from prying eyes..
HGL - i havent had that happen hun - has she worn wool before? she might be an extra sensitive bubba?
ali - you can get roger armstrong at target?!!>!>!>! the reason i havent bought another bucket and have just been using my wetbags is cos i wanted a matching roger armstrong one, but the stupid shop wanted $30 for the bucket and $11.95 for the lid, i told them to go jump!! must go to target :)
wohb - blueberry sidesnapping pocket with silk liner
i got fluffy mail today too (and none of the ones i was expecting!) - my nappies and soaker from SHP - michelle is so nice!
HGL...did you get your lou lou brand new from Merryn?? if so...they are in the process of moving house/have just moved...
Nappies.... Pretty Butterfly...you will have to let me know how the Fluffybub NN goes..i have been eyeing them off for quite abit...
We dont have a nappy bucket as such...i bought a swing top kitchen bin for $14 from Kmart...works a treat and i dont have to lift the lid and be blown away from stencth everytime I put a nappy in it...I just aim for the lid and 'swish' its in and best of all...it sits on my laundry bench and doesnt look odd. Holds 2-3 days plus x 2 kids worth of nappies too :)
Went moo goo shopping this morning.....have run out just as Mateauz starts getting red again :( he had 2 molars thorugh and another 2 that are about to break through
BBL have 5 kids today so will be back later :)
Kitt3n - Toys R Us have them too. Oh and please PM me ;)
Must behave myself, cannot order more fluff, I can't hide it!! FIL will know even if DH doesnt collect it so DH will find out.
DH forgot the shopping list last night when he did the grocery shopping, so FIL has gone to get the things that DH forgot, and switch the FL powder that DH got for TL powder. Switching to a cheaper brand for clothes but the eco store is still for nappies.
I folded half the nappies last night, DH had better finish washing them soon though cos he keeps only doing a bit at a time and running out.
woot woot woot - next week will be a good week - mel fluffy mail, TL fluffy mail, and my man only gone from Sunday to Thurs - then home the rest of this weekend (he's been home since monday!) and home again from Thurs til the following tues!!!
doing a happy dance!!
and to add to my woo hoo's - we got new curtains for gremlin AND for our room yesterday and DH finally got the washing machine going this morning so i can do the nappies again...
happy happy BG here!
:clap::clap: Nice BG!!!! :dance:
Kitt3n, Id like a PM.... ;);)

HHmmmmm, I think so!!! I get everyone mixed up on there!!!
I'm Jodie G.....
yes now i know  bit stoopid today!!!!!
i still haven't done the load of nappies that need washing!!!!!
Anna - I just got a teething necklace from the states (inspired by finn), can't remember exact price in AUD but it was cheaper than amberbebe and only took a few days to get here. I ordered a 13 inch which is a pretty good size for DS (who's a boofa) but probably won't last him all that long. I'll just give his to the new bub and get him a longer one when the time comes. I think DS has pretty much finished teething apart from his molars but thought it might help with his broken leg etc. He wouldn't wear it at first, kept saying 'mum, off!' but I put it on yesterday while he was distracted and he doesn't even realise it's there ;)
Nappy bucket - same as Maz, we just have a large willow bin (what a coinkydink!!) with the flip lid. I only have one in nappies at the mo but I can fit up to three days worth in it if I have to. I keep it in the bathroom where the little squirt is, right next to the kids bedrooms.
What beads did you choose Willow?
*scampers in and waves helllooooooooo*
I'm at work - trying so hard not to get busted.. bwhahahahaha
Obviously no nappy news here - but Aricyn's childcare group leader stopped us today and thanked us for the letter and told us that she did change him every 2 hours and the only reason why there would still be nappies in the bag when I picked him up was because he was dry, so they didn't change it for another.
And I felt like saying.. welllll.. he's in suedecloth - it does feel dry!!! LOL
She was amazed that I stuffed the nappies myself - dunno how she thought the inserts got in there...
Anyhoo - best be back to it.
BG is distracting me on MSN anyway ;)
heheheheheheehehe
ETA - SUSE - have sent my spare snoozy booster up to you today.
Kitt3n - thanks for the suggestion, I've asked if I can add some liners to the order
Swing top bin for the nappies sounds like a good idea... I hate taking the lid of the bucket!
Oh Crapola - I just ordered a Mandy Mac Night and a Day, and suddenly realized it didn't say anything about how they close!!! Do these require a snappi?? I have NO idea how to work one of those, are they difficult, nor did I order any so what am I going to do with them when I get them. Arrrgh!
Hon, you use a snappi, and its very easy.
If your using a tight, velcro cover, you dont need a snappi, just pull the cover on firmly...;)
Can you buy snappies at KMart type stores??
Anna - we got the round cognac. Looks like they've got a clearance sale on, good time to buy ;) For J I'd probably get him a bigger size, at least a 15 inch (or longer depending on how you want it to fit) and at least at 13 inch for R (this is what DS has). DS's is a lot shorter on him than i'd imagined, but it's good because it doesn't hang too far and he doesn't even realise it's there so isn't playing with it and pulling on it etc.
Might be total coincidence, but since he's had it on he's pulling some looooong day time naps?!
Also, just checked my paypal receipt, it was $30 AUD including postage.
willow - can you please pm me the link for the amber necklace site??
Mel - i'm soooooooooooooo not distracting you (well, no more than any other Friday when you're at work!) - and i memory serves, YOU started the chat...
am about to move all the nappies to the baby room - and then harrass her daddy into helping me hang curtains - mum gave us some older curtains that she no longer needed, saying they're blockouts - ummm NO, they're lighter than the ones in our room were - so yesterday we bit the bullet and bought blockouts - couldn't get grey like we wanted, but we're doing blue feature in her room, burgundy in ours - so i figured we'd do the opposite colored curtains - then i might have to go work out what other curtains we need and lay by them - sooo sick of curtains that don't stay where they should be!
i did tell mum we were changing the curtains over - we need a reasonably dark room if we want bubba to sleep in the day - plus blockouts are heavier and should keep the noise from the dogs and the people waffling next door a little lower (they're only next door once a month so it won't be a normal sound so would disturb her...)
Sas - toss me your addy details in a pm and I will send you my stash of snappi's. Im not using them anymore and they were kindly passed on by another BB'er to me.
FLUFFY MAIL FLUFFY MAIL :leap:
My Widdlewuns and Cushie Tushie, woot woot!
Mel - I have told daycare to feel the booster if the inner of the nappy feels dry, or even pop a cotton wool ball in there.
Anna - Yay for fluffy mail!!! Thanks for the offer! I am trying to get out of my order - I only just put it in and paid for it so I've emailed and asked if I can cancel and be refunded so hoping it will be, but if not, I will definately take you up on that, Ta. (Reason being - I finally found a supplier who has baby beehind bamboos in stock right now, so have ordered a six pack of them, as they have the press studs I'd prefer them and want to see if with the booster will work as night nappy at least for now.)
