    in love. lots of it.

OMGoodness, if I hear DP say "should I just get a sposie for him?" one more time today, I'm gonna snap! So I haven't folded the nappies for a coupla days, sheesh! There's still three or four fitteds in the basket and a dozen flats ready to rock, but noooo, that's too hard.
And anyways, I put a NBC sposie on DS yesterday when we were out (it was an emergency!) and it had leaked and soaked thru the front of the nappy in under an hour. That doesn't bode well for a 14 hour flight with no MCN... better take the maz-a-licious covers (if only I could get me some more!).

kat - swim nappies... um, motherease have side-snapping ones. shiny plain-coloured lycra tho. NN have some cute ones too, in prints.

OMG I spent $100 last night at The Weewuns. Lucky Dh doesnt check the bank account (not that we dont have $$$ right now but I know he'll screech at $100 on nappies, hm).

I got 2 Swaddlebees side snap organic velour, and 3 sets of the toodlebugz leg warmers because the other brands dont fit my chunky toddies legs without cutting off circulation.

    Not much from me today.

Well done on the purchases Anna, good luck hiding them from DH!

DS wore his tiger bubblebubs today, his daddy told him he looked like tarzan.

MMM Looking forward to breakfast in bed tomorrow. DF and DS have something special prepared apparently, even though DF is working night shift tonight and doesn't get home until 6:30am.

Hope you're all spoilt tomorrow ladies

Happy Mothers Day for the morning, And Happy Due Date Ray also for the morning.

Would love to have $$ to spend on nappies, but the bank account is in the red thanks to some direct debits that the bank decided to honour when there wasn't enough in there

Nana - I would snap at that too, There is 1 sposie in the drawer, and DH knows that is only for use if Em gets sick or has a massive rash and NEEDS the strong creams.

My brain is mush atm, not sleeping well. I think my body is getting ready for night feeds. So I have NFI what the girls are wearing, coz I can't remember.

    hiya girls!
Im so happy to finally be able to join in!
my name is starrysky and I am a fluff a holic (to use someone elses fantastic username!!)
I have only recently started with cloth, despite hours of research spent online prebaby, dp was a tough nut to crack on the cloth front.
but due to jbabys contstant nappy rash, I bit the bullett and bough a trial pack of itti bittis, and im i loooove.
have to say I prefer the snap in to the sewn in, but they both do the job. havent had a leak yet, even over night!
am waiting on a delivery of 4 bbh from charmalea, cant wait for my fluffymail!!
a mum at my mothers group gave me 3 of her cloth nappies, they are snap ins but very bulky, poor ds looks very bandy legged in them! they are a brand called onelife, and they have a plastic cover, not a big fan really.
I am really looking forward to tax refund time so I can pad out my stash some more...
happy mums day to all, hope you al get very spoilt! xx

Welcome to the fold (haha) Starry!!

Never heard of Onelife. Maybe they are an ebay one? Have you been to Nature's Cradle yet? Lots there to check size wise against DS before buying, I wish there was something like that here, so I could look at some of these brands that get mentioned that I dont own.

    Starsky - welcome
in Adelaide, there is Nature's Cradle (just opened new store on goodwood road too) and also The Rainbow Tree at Kensington Park (bus stop 12 Magill Rd), that sell mcn IRL (and baby friendly rash salves etc). the environmental shop across the way from Rainbow Tree, called Ecolateral (next to an opshop), also stocks baby beehinds.

there is a cushie tushie consultant in Adelaide (a belly belly member called Beatrix), and a baby beehinds consultant in adelaide, there would be more, but that's what i can think of right now.

Despite having two IRL mcn shops here, i still got the majority of my stash online. Not many narrow crotch, sidesnapping, natural inner, (That ended up being our criteria) mass produced mcn at IRL shops i found. That ended up being our criteria. I also had to weigh up the cost of petrol vs the price of postage.

    wotbb: blueberry trainer.
bilby is nearly on Day Seven of awful cold, she only regressed for one day (three accidents). so we're back to normal now (in the dry trainers department).

Morning beauties... Hope you are all having a great Mothersday... even those awaiting bubs arrival... still a mum so hope ur DP/H's are spoiling you...

Me i got nothing... Nudda... zip, zilch... we dont usually do the whole mothers/fathersday thing (usualy cos we have no money... LOL) off to MIL's which is like a nitemare.... so overall not a good day. Cant wait to my clothiebumz delivery next week... i can celebrate being a mum with fab new fluff... hehehe... (how sad i would rather have a fluff delivery then go to mIL for mothersday... hehe)

Our bank account was hacked a little while ago and well we found out we get all of $400 back... they cleaned us out and racked up our credit card) but i'm trying to stay positive and say well at lease we got some back. I thought we would have gotten it all back but no... so ladies watch out when using ur cards with ATM's and also online... (which is what happened to me)

Switched nappy bags today cos my pretty one just doesnt fit enough in and this other one has a built in wet area... so will do until i get my wetbag. No doubt MIL will be into me again about the MCN's... so over explaining ........

I sold my BBH and wool cover to a friend who i think i have converted... she has also been using terry flats and Big W covers or.... eeeekkk... *cold shills down back* plastic pilchers... (my pet hate)

Welcome Starsky- u just missed Arimeh's sale on her cushies... (but she has great sales this month... (i'm a huge enabler cos i need to make myself feel good for spending up big... hehehe)

Cold toast with jam (and no butter)You should have seen me trying to force the toast down, LOL, I can't eat toast without butter!! But it's the lovely thought that counts. I also got a nice cup of coffee and a flower on the plate....very nice.

Not much nappy news, just waiting for a money transfer in my bank then I will be paying some on my fluff layby.

    Morning Ladies

Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful mothers day being spoilt!

I woke up this morning to breakfast in bed - bacon and eggs on toast with freshly squeezed orange juice. Two presents as well!

Taking so long for my nappies to dry at the moment with this gloomy weather. I hate using the dryer so i'm avoiding it at all costs which means I have clothes and nappies drying all over the house! It's not like we don't have enough nappies and clothes to wear until the sun comes out again I just don't want it all to pile up.

Sad realization today. On our honeymoon/family holiday we're going to use sposies. We're going to fiji for 10 days and a) I don't have enough nappies to last the whole trip and b) I don't want to have to worry about washing while we're over there. Rather just enjoy it. So someone please recommend a good brand of sposies so I don't feel so bad using them?

WOPB: Blue BBH Medium - discovered that the medium crotch fits him much better than the large. Around the waist fits still doing up to the middle (velcro) but we own mostly large snaps.

Nature Babycare sposies are bamboo, fairly good. Downside is the green miles, they are made o/s but other than that quite good.
