    Morning all

Miss M appears to have a dry, red (itchy looking) rash on her face, probably from drool I would imagine, we think she is getting her top teeth through.

I've been putting moogoo on it - hope that helps. Its a wonder my MIL didn't mention it yesterday when she saw her, usually she is the first one to criticise her (you know the kind of thing - if Miss M is a bit grizzly cos she hasn't had a nap cos we are at their house and she doesn't feel quite right in the portacot - she gets in trouble for grizzling "well if you would JUST sleep you WOULDN'T be grizzling" or "No wonder you are skinny - you throw your food off the table so you don't eat anything" yup thanks for your input now f*** off. Hmm does anyone suspect I have severe MIL issues??)

Right nappies. I've been washing every night now - so hopefully that helps with my shredding problems. Fingers crossed (even though I was rinsing them every night anyway!!!!) or else I'll just have to stock up on pockets or something cos it doesn't happen to the green kids bamboo or hemp inserts, and not microfibre.. lol

I think this is my punishment for buying so many... teeheehee... the universe has decided its not needed and is culling my own stash for me

WOTB's: night nappies still. I'm pathetic.

Lea- contact Nikki at Genesa Forge - I'm sure she will be able to help you. Gorgeous nappies. And no wicking with embroidery.

Lea, I have a caterpillar nappy from Genesa that River wears! Its so cute and soft, one of our faves. Have a look on her site!

ETA - OMGoodness - Ive been giving Jett nappy free time to maybe get the TTing process started and also because he's had a sore on his butt for the last few days...........well I was reminding him to tell me when he needed to go potty so I could put him on it, I asked him if he needed to go and he said no mummy.............next thing he comes barrelling up to me saying "big nuggets on the floor mum, Jetty's big nuggets EW!"..............the little bugger had done the biggest pile of poop I have EVER seen on the floor Atleast it wasnt on the couch, he wasnt playing in it and it was a nice tidy little pile to scoop up. Who said motherhood was glamourous????

ETAA - Worse yet, I was trying to do crowd control AND hazard clean up...........I reckon I got atleast 5min of yoga done just from that alone hahahahaha

Anna - I burst into laughter at your post. Go Jett! Phoenix has nappy free time every day and he's done that a few times now. Instead of a little pile I get a long solid log and he dobs himself in with "oh nooooooo oh no oh no oh nooooooooooo" Did Jett enjoy watching you clean it up? I think that's half the fun for the kids.

Arimeh - GRR @ MIL's. I have a horror one as well, and yes always having a dig at me about Phoenix and my parenting skills. She does it in a semi-nice way so that DF doesn't think there's anything wrong with it Have you tried to be rude and blunt back to her? If she's REALLY getting on your nerves, try it!

Lea - I've seen a pic of the caterpillar nappy Anna got from GF - it's gorgeous, I'd recommend that one based on looks. It's not embroidery, it's the whole nappy actually patched together to make a caterpillar.

Fluff -sounds like the return to work is getting you down. I hope things perk up for you soon chicky, you're doing a great job working AND being a mother so don't fault yourself for being a bit lazy with the nappy folding.

Jess - how are the birthday preparations going?

Kaz - well done to Pip! It's both sad and exciting at the same time isn't it.

Anna - ARGH!! I hate poo piles. Em did one a few weeks ago while DH was distracted after their bath!!

WAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! I was hanging the nappies this morning (DH forgot and I was careful). He hasn't been removing the boosters from ANYTHING before washing, so the pockets are still stuffed and the snap in's are left on, and I think because the snap in's are left on, One of the sparkles on the IF has fallen off What can I do? It is my fave show off nappy and I had planned for Leah to wear it for coming home from hospital.

Gigi - Yeah FIL is still here. Likely to stay until Leah arrives or he goes nuts from the girls.

Lea - Have you looked at Maz's Stocking Album on FB? She has some Very Hungry Caterpillar stuff on the way.

Totally Not Nappy related - FIL just got back from the hire place with a wheelchair!! Ahhhh, the independance and speed!! Much less strain on me than the office chair or the frame!!

Townsville Girls - We need a decent size meetup - If you are free on the 28th around 10, we should have a 'The date is set' celebration at my place. Any thoughts?

Ali - Oh noooooooo! Men always bloody cut corners don't they. I don't own an iishfly, so how are the sparkles attached? Is it a crystal like on a WC Bling? You can buy the tools for attaching them at spotlight if you wanted to re-attach it.

Ali, if you shoot me thru a photo of the nappy, i recon I will be able to tell you if I can get they crystal (I work with crystals all the time-the real thing, not plastic rubbish) I go to wholesalers pretty much weekly. I sew mine on, but I can find out what glue to use, maz can prolly tell us, although am pretty sure wholesalers sell it too.

It shouldnt be too hard to replace......

My lovely, sweet sleeping baby has turned on me. For the last 5 days he has been feral, only sleeping in 1/2 hr blocks, yelling in between cause he is tired. Only during the day thank god, at night he is really good.

Is this a 6 week old phase? or do I have a feral kid?

Shells - there is a growth spurt at 6 weeks. Might go on for a few days, and then you'll wonder when he's awake cos he'll always seem to be asleep!!!

I'll wait till it is dry and then take a pic. Not sure but I think they are just the cheap plastic, but still pretty none the less. It is a pale pink sparkle. The same colour as the one in my nose stud. I haven't actually seen a WC bling IRL, but I think they are done the same. It is glued on anyway.

Ali- Sorry to hear bout your IF... maybe its a good thing DP never washes or changes naps...

Went looking for presents for Mis T cos i havent been able to find anything that really stood out and made me think WOW she'd love that...

Still didnt get anything off to look again on friday without DS... lol.

So looking forward to getting the CGR designs Nap.

Mis T has been doing the worst poos... she poopes everywhere in the lou lou yesterday... which held up extremly well considering when i took it off i couldnt see the pink of the inside... i took her to the GP he said he didnt think it was from being sick. At the baby expo i had just started a new tin 1st bottle DD had she threw up everywhere... (their new formula tin) the woman said some kids are very sensitive and it could have caused it... since i brought an older tin and started doing 1/2 1/2 she hasnt thrown up any milk (like refluxy) so we'll have to wait to see if its made her poop less runny... But i have realised i NEED an LS...

Arimeh- God I hope your right. Guess I have been spoiled, have had baby that sleeps in 2-3 hr chunks 3 times a day. Now have angry yelling banshee. I dont care that he doesnt want to sleep, but why does he have to yell?

Ali, should be able to get no worries, just let me know how big it is (mm in diameter) Even the real thing arnt expensive for those crystals, normally only 50 cents for the little ones and a buck or so for the bigger ones.

Kate is redesigning the Booroi site at the moment, I can give you her email if you like, I m sure she would be happy to help...pm me if you want it

    Fluff:
*hug* hope you feel better soon Kat! I was sick last week...didnt fold nappies all week, so not impressed with the pile I have now! lol NOT fun

    Anna:

gotta wonder how glamourous Angelina feels picking up poo off the floor...so Hollywood! lol

    Ali:
Daryl doesnt unsnap either - thinks it makes them easier to fold when they are dry! lol
Sorry your crystal's come off! Hope you can get it back on without too much fuss.
Awesome news on the wheelchair too! Must be so much more comfy for you! What date have you been scheduled for??

    Jess:
No good about MissT! Really hope she comes good soon, not noice little thing!

No exciting nappy news here really...waiting on a WW form Mel though - yay! That is exciting. I am glad it is finaly getting colder over here and I can actually dress Charlotte - means she isnt pulling her nappies off so often - she will take her pants and nappy off by herself though if she really wants too, so I find then randomly strewn all over the house
I am in the process of trying to convert someone! lol She has 4 older kids though and not much time so trying to convince her that cloth wont be any harder - and I know they could do with the money they will save on sposies. Fingers Crossed!

    WOHB: good question...ummm....ah BumG!

How do I tell if Oscar has a narrow or wide, or "average" crotch width? Im guessing narrow/average

We've tried a fair few of the nappies in our stash, s'bees, IBs, widdlewuns, CGR are all really good, but he weed straight out of the blueberry minky ( this one is one of my favourites) twice.

I dont know if Im just not doing them up tight enough, Im worried about his cord stump getting in there. He has chunky-ish thighs, but seems pretty skinny elsewhere.
