Sami - stockings meaning that they stock their stores with new products. If Hyena you hang around the time of the stocking frantically refreshing your screen in a vain attempt to nab some of these gorgeous creations before the other 100 hyenas do lol You swarm around and pick at the offerings - like a hyena

Abby Gro dont stock often, meaning when she does there are LOTS of people all trying to nab as many as they can, so the competition is fierce and there are rarely any leftovers 5 minutes after the stocking time

ETA: yeah, I do like the rain - just not when it comes out of nowhere and rains on my beautiful dry fluff!! lol

Ahhhhh thanks so much - now it all makes sense.

So, how do you know when a special stocking is coming up and where are they sold - is it their own sites or on a commercial site etc?

Sami- Its normally their own site but some have them through a host site like WAHM naps. You need to subscribe to their newletters and usually the girls in here will warn of one coming up. Sharing the love! Its not nice to keep them to yourself

Limey- the same thing with rain happened to me today!!!! I had 18 naps on the line since yesterday and then it rained over night and as they were just about dry it pours on them!!! So cross. It didn't even look like rain. Grr so now I have a close hourse of shells and a drier full of inserts and boosters. I won't be leaving the washing so long next time!

Maz- how did you go getting vy into a nappy? A bit tricky in a one piece. I wish I was going to melb! It sounds like its going to be massive!!!

Damn i new i shouldn't of checked back here, its too tempting to wait up that 1hr for your special LS grrrr "go to sleep Simone you've already bought fluff this week"

    hmmm

BTW THANK YOU to whoever suggested to double boost a BumG as a night nappy! brilliant (well for now we'll see how we go in the morn) can you buy just boosters for BumG? i presume so will go search cuz just buying 3more boosters will give me three NN as i dont like using BumG during the day cuz they are too wide for Tallon to crawl in.....woop woop

WOTB - BumG double boosted!!! heehee

Gigi how long has your DD been TT for? mine's been 8months and we have just had a recesion this week grrrrrr

WOTB - WC blue minkee NN (yay im doing a NN, he fits it better now so will see how he goes then try and get some more and build up a good supply)

a recession? is that like a big hole that your DD fell into? my DD "regressed" last fortnight, for one afternoon, when her cold/flu was at it's worst. She tt-d at 28 months i think, and is now 30 months old. i'm hanging onto the Little squirt, wetbag and a few nappies, cos i keep thinking i will wake up and her whole tt-ing will have been a dream. Prolly just wishful thinking on my part - oh no, have to go buy nappies again, wot a chore!

that's great about your night nappy success, good to have a win, whether it's getting the fit right, or the absorbency, or how to be a better hyena!! always something to think about, keep our mummy brains ticking over! i swear, concentrating on the mcn helped me get thru PND. pure distraction value. and colour therapy of the mcn in my life, each day.

umm i have 6 KK and a MMPN and a sandman ! thats for 2 in cloth at night ,i have 2 KK that arent very pretty - plain blue and plain pink , so i turned them into a pocket ,buy opening the backend , and they work so well this way and dont give a bubble butt on DD, as the KK is almost half the size of her !
Charmlea, were you aware, that KK's now come in a pocket version too? as well as the Ai2?

SMOZ - you can get away with LESS night nappies, if you buy some quick dry ones.

Wild Child night nappies are fitted ones, need a cover.

but pocket style and ai2 night nappies do not need a cover, and dry faster.
e.g Kester Kovers pockets, Snoozywuns ai2.

so if you have all fitted night nappies, you will need a higher number, to allow for the drying time.

This was our stash for nights:
2 x whizz kidz nightz (fitteds) OSFA
2 x lotus nights (fitteds) large
2 x kester kovers aio, 1 medium long, 1 large
1 x kester kovers pocket (only bought it in March, she tt-d in April!!)
    1 x dragonflymagik night nappy ai2 OSFM
1 x Disana woolly soaker pullup L or XL i'd have to check
1 x bear bottoms mm fleece cover medium
1 x sugarpeas mm fleece cover medium
(both of these mm fleece covers were used heaps, washed in zipper bags, and when i sold them, the buyer commented, they looked "as new" - i was so chuffed).
    longies
    2 x homemade bumjumpers

i could not fault any of these for nights, bilby did her best to test them all out thoroughly (sleeping in my bed, without mattress protector half the night), and none let us down.

i read all about people dealing with all the extra linen washing etc and realise i am lucky i used night nappies from the start and never had to deal with the extra washing/bedmaking etc. we co-slept at the start too. i guess we unofficially co-sleep for half the night now! the one night leak we had, was when dh put her in a DAY trainer, instead of a NIGHT trainer by mistake. tha'ts pretty good going, for 28 months i think. (mabye that makes up for her not eating, not talking, not being cuddly?).

wotbb: the blueberry night trainer with yellow, blue, spots (as yet un=named by Miss Bilby)

SMOZ - you can also boost a day pocket, like the bum genius, by stuffing it with a bamboo trifold (for extra absorption).

and whoever was after OSFA AIO, babysoftlandings have new stock of OSFA Rumperooz. the purple colour -

yep, sleep deprivation will do that to your vocabulary, every time!
i've been sleep deprived for nearly three years now, so i relate to that! i think the longer it goes on, you just get better at covering it up!

sounds like you have an "interesting" r'ship with your MIL!! Mine is a plane ride away and lives in a nursing home, so does not interfere with bilby at all. So i listen to all the MIL talk with great interest. often makes me grateful i don't have to deal with it!

CheekyMonkey - bilby has the elephant backpack, and wherever we go, she HAS to turn her back, so whoever (the creche worker, the childcare worker) can admire her elephant. she is SO proud of her backpack! i must shorten the straps though, much too long for her. (pipsqueak).

Arimeh - i cant even get my machine to work! let alone sew anything for bilby, or any one else, let alone Cushie Tushies! fear not petal, it's not "this" gigi!! LOL. but i like being the name for a giraffe! (i'm a bit height challenged!!).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEXIS!! 26 sounds a pretty cool number to be!
