Orright, the class clown is back.
    And i need help.

    Itti Bitti Vs Pop In

How trim would you say Pop Ins are? I lurve the Ittis for thier fit under clothes and the colors are just awesome.

But I am torn cause the pop in is a osfm so will last longer and I am thinking that it is a better design. But I havnt tried it on lil man yet.

    Which would you buy?

    hiya lovelies!
quick question for anyone with new or new-ish BumGs - approximately how long is the leg elastic unstretched??

Jess - have you tried putting the velcro-fastening nappies on Tiahna back-to-front? Just for a while, till she gets over the whole "I love that sound" thing... LS are the bestest thing ever. Dont know about the other ones, but I cant imagine life without one now!

maz - pot of gold is in the suitcase! (Just have to hide some swaddlebees in there too. and maybe a BP or three... heehee.) New camera is ready to rock. Bring on the sunshiny weather. So peeved I'm missing your stocking tho... and the meet-up.

WOHB: NBC sposie and a tonne of gunky cream. teething again, poor bebe.

    Just a quickie

    Willow - Ecobubs are lovely

Shellsbells - I have a pop-in coming later in the week and have IB's - so I can give you a newbie opinion in a few days time as to what I think re trimness. But I agree, it is hard to go past the Itti's lush colours!

Bizy Bee stocking starts soon - I have never tried to look at a "stocking" opening LOL so am gunna try and do it tonight ...

WOZB - still using sposies overnight - which incidentally has worked out fine cos he has poo'd in them first thing in the morning so none of my nappies have been tainted yet

Sami, I have my pop ins, it is washed and drying at the moment. I am dumb, I should have tried it on lil man before I washed it cause now its damp and he is asleep, but if you and I have been shopping at the same place, then you will know I can get them at a really good price, but I have to order today.
What to do?, its the pop in or itti
    Am torn.....

So annoyed i tried to hyena something from BB and it said that the stocking started at 8 but it started at 7

NaNa- Tried back to frint... she still takes them off so i have to use them under pants... or with maz cover cos she hasnt worked out how to undo the snaps yet...

I had her in little undies today as she has been fascinated with J's and also the loo and potty... she hasnt done anything on it but its good she is getting interested in it and isnt scared like J was

I received my Happy Heiny and BumG pocket nappies today and washed them and then realised that I HATE the feel of the microfibre inserts- it makes me shiver in a yuck way. Anway, point is, am wondering if anyone can name me some pocket nappies with non-microfibre inserts? I have some Greenkids which I love but looking at another brand to try. I really prefer bamboo or a natural insert??

Also, how many nappies do you have? Some of you seem to have millions!!

Whoever was asking about BumG leg elastic unstretched- 13cm.

KR - check out the BumG website it is a .au site, they have hemp boosters and some others too that arent microfibre.
Jamtots also do hemp inserts for the swaddlebees.

ETA - My magicalls booster which I think is bamboo (?) Also fits in my BumG v2 pockets

    all is not lost
the pockets and the pocket inserts ARE interchangeable.

so for example, generic trifolds, you might have a peapods bamboo booster, you might have a cushie tushies bamboo trifold, whatever brand of trifold/prefold you have, fold that in three and insert THAT into your happy heiny or bumgenius pocket nappy.

any absobent pocket insert will do the job, only requirement is that it FITS the pocket cavity AS WIDE as the pocket cavity is, at it's NARROWEST POINT.

the narrowest point is the crotch, in middle of the nappy when opened out.

so at that point, the entire width of the nappy, should be same width as the insert.

at each end of the nappy, your insert won't be AS wide as the pocket cavity, but that's ok.

a hard thing to describe, easy to show someone in real life!

anyone after Narrow Crotch Side Snappers, i saw Gadimal pocket nappies in real life today, at Nature's Cradle (new Goodwood road store). lovely shop and they stock MOO GOO TOO! anyway, i got to see the Gadimal pocket IRL - they are like a malden mills fleece (windpro) version of sized swaddlebees! if only i had tried them while bilby was in nappies!!! (i would have put cotton velour liners in them).

you can get windpro outer of the high loft style (fluffy like a teddy bear), or windpro outers of the low loft style, smooth. They have coloured microfleece inners and contrast colour snaps. great price too. My friend bought the last electric purple one, so cool. they have red windpro ones left, a few navy, a few spearmint green. excellent nappy. the next US shipment will be at the higher prices, so if you're in the market for something like this, jump in now. You lucky people (with bubs still in mcn!!! i'm just jealous LOL).

saw some nice flongies and mongies at the bizy bee store on wahmnaps

shellsbells, hope you get some answers about the wind.

Marlene, i'll look forward to a new batch of photos from you! action shots in the new mcn LOL.

Nana - have a fantastic time, won't you? i'm channelling "Amelie" at you. photos of your bub in mcn in every country you visit, just like the photos of the kidnapped garden gnome in Amelie!

maz - i thought of you when i saw the owl stuff at Flattery! woot woot!

    Red face

    Hey ladies,

Sorry I went into hiding for a while moving house and not being able to get internet connected cause we are in a new estate but we are up and running now....no help to bigpond though...took their bloody time I am telling you!! VENT OVER!! Lol.....

I am slowly getting all this MCN info to sink in and getting around looking at a few different types. JUst a few question I have to ask for those of you who are a little bit more experienced at this then I am.......DS is almost 20 months old and is absolutely scared of the toilet so he isn't going to be toilet trained any time soon but I am wondering how many nappies I should have for him?? At the moment in sposies he is going through about 6 a day. Also, would 25-30 be enough for a newborn??

Now I am going to go read back a few thread and see what I have missed!!

Amelia - I had about 25 for Miss M - but she pooped fairly often, so I found it wasn't enough for me - however, she was born in winter, so it was hard getting them dry in time. This one that I'm carrying now will be different cos it will be a summer baby

    Howdy owdy everyone!!!!!

Better go change the kids - I'm so slack sometimes.. lol

I'm sure I can smell something nasty so I'm trying to avoid it. Luckily its DS and he could sit in a pile of poo all day and still be quite content. Must be a male thing cos Miss M is soooo not like that!!!!!

    teeheehee

WOTB's: the said night nappies that need to be changed cos I reckon they'll be leaking soon!!

so MonkeyMM, Ren, Shells......hoever else are you all going the expo? If so letme know what day and we might see if we cam bump into each

Met AmandaJ yesterday and it was so good to see another baby in cloth and BL and he was sooooooo cute as were Whett and Cody!

But anyway back to nappies...Arimeh i know how you feel some mornings, you know you have to but the want to delay/avoid is there also....

Whoever was asking about the boosters for BumG i also swap and change mine....i have heaps of Bamboo/Hemp trifolds but folded just in half they fit my BumG's perfectly so i chuck two of them with the micro insert to make it a night nappy

    Thanks KatieRabbit! Very helpful!

Gigi - I spent hours in that cafe where Amelie was filmed... DP thought I was nuts and had to lure me out of Montmartre with the promise of chocolate fondants from Boulangerie Monge... will try and post pics on facebook. Suitcase is getting heavier every minute, might need to cull some of my clothes on order to hide more MCN!

Google baby expo+brisbane, should come up and you can print off free tix to get in. Looks like a bunch of us may be there at the same time. So would be good to catch up. I am not sure what day this will be happening, but am sure it will get sorted in due time.

ll80- would love to meet you there too.

Didnt buy anymore nappies last night, figured I should prolly try on lil man before I buy more.
Am waiting for him to take a dump that he has been stockpiling for 2 days, so there is no was my precious pop in is going anywhere near that butt till we have had some action.

Got back from docs, have had shocker of morning, am now trying goats milk formula. He just had big feed and has crashed, so fingers crossed, he may do better on that.
