No nappy news: I feel like an intruder because he hasn't worn any. Oh no I lie, he still wears his night nappies. Does that mean I can stay in here?

    hey ladies!

lol @ CM - once an MCN addict always an MCN addict hun!

I have to thoroughly reccomend Sustainable Hemp Products - that sandman that I had trouble with, the booster - she is replacing (even though it wasnt made by her). She said that the bamboo must not have been up to scratch for that to happen in the first place! so yay - now have to email WC! maybe was from that dodgy batch, both of them? SHP are getting all of my business henceforth!

also, I have slowly been paying off a set of gf's in large - for when littlw laa grows out of her mediums, and they are almost done! I can;t wait to see what nikki came up with, i just gave her a rough guideline (she comes up with awesome ideas when you leave it to her!)

ali - so great on lea's weight gain, you must be so happy

teru - what did you score?

wohb - bundle of buns (brown paisley)

    Morning!!
CM - you are always welcome here!!!

Has anyone done a canestan rinse for their nappies? I haven't personally done one, so just wanted to know at what stage of the cycle of wash you added it in, and where you added it (like, in the fabric softener dispenser??) and how much you used. I'm willing to try it to stop my shredding problems

Um what else nappy related. Nope - got nothing. Haven't brought anything so can't brag about that.. LOL

    - DPs mum has done the nicest thing and offered to start pre-washing my nappies and the clothes we have recieved so far... that is a great and wonderful thing right...

Then why is it that I can't say "thanks, that would be great - here are the washing instructions and things you will need"

I can't describe how I feel about it properly but part of me is TERRIFIED she will do something wrong and my precious, precious fluff will be ruined before being pooped in... last night she was mentioning she would get some napisan and bleach, I quickly responded that I would provide the things needed as MCNs are quite different to other cloth nappies.

A couple of questions for you lovely ladies:-

    * can she wreck my fluff if she follows the directions?
    * if she decides directions are not required and does her own thing... will I be strip washing for the rest of my life?
    * how will I know if she hasn't followed the directions... I suppose when there is wee and poo everywhere in 3 months time?

DP thinks I am overreacting and I think I might be too... but I did want to do this myself and am now being bagged out my DP and his family because last night I said "thanks but it is ok I am going to do the prewashes on the weekends" - this was shot down with "mum is retired... and she wants to help - just let her help".... and that is when my anxiety started - thanks for reading my vent

Can anyone offer reassurance to me... please
