morning ladies (well, prolly arvo over here by the time i hit post!)

Maz - how'd you go with the cover last night? sounds like you were doing lots of contemplating! it's such delish material - i am in love!!

not a lot of nappy news - E is in a flat and cover - no idea which ones - DH changed her. i was too exhausted this morning. for the first time in a couple of weeks she decided to wake up more than once during the night for a feed. guess she must be going through a growth spurt soon or something - but it was sooooo full on not having a decent stretch of sleep after getting used to it! hope she sleeps better tonight - we have to leave here way early in the morning to get to an appointment and i'm dreading it - she is likely to be a nightmare by the time we get there - blah! must get nappy bag organised tonight - WW's all the way i think!

so noone has even ONE spare girly or nutral nappy :( It's ok I have put a few itti boos and a bunch of fitteds aside. It's a BB member who wants to go cloth but is having a lot of $$ issues atm.

No nappy news here :(

I'm about to ask size, but I would say mediums, it's a 6 month old girl.

Cheeky Monkey, no, i didn't think you were having a go at me personally. I just thought i had better check, whether what i had been babbling on about (re bilby's tt-ing) didn't offend anyone, in case i was, cos i hate offending anyone. So i was checking/apologising JUST IN CASE i had done the wrong thing.

I got to meet Nettie on Friday night, and Beatrix was there too, and Alioops's sister, Danniellabella, my first belly belly meetup in two years i think, really glad i went. (nervewracking to walk into a room of people who mostly you have never met before, i was so glad to see a familiar face (Ness). And there was a cute 10 month old there too, major "awwww" factor. And i sat next to someone who is 37 weeks pregnant, major cluck factor.

wotbb: Marnie's half pint knickers (with gerberas on them Maz, i know you like gerberas). bilby thinks they are STARS lol. i'm not going to bust her bubble. Most mornings she won't put on knickers, and loudly requests the RAH LIKE A LION knickers (trainers). she doesn't seem to need them in teh day, but must find them comfy and familiar i suppose.

:hello: Hi everyone!! I haven't posted much in here lately...no real excuse just haven't had much nappy related news, lol. I really don't need to buy any more, and that's kinds sad, LOL. I do want to replace a couple of my NN's that I am not 100% happy with...so might have some listed for swap soon (when I can bothered to do it). Feeling really lazy and unmotivated lately.

Well DH is now a kept man :rofl: and in about 6 weeks when he's finished a chunk of the house he'll be a SaHD ... I certainly won't be putting any sposies in my shopping trolley!

can anyone recommed narrow crutch training pants?? sophie is TT both day and night but has wet the bed the past 2 out of 3 nights so was thinking of using cloth training pants but i want them thin and narrow so she thinks they are just like nickers! any suggestions???

aww mel , i'll join you .. im sooo tired , im getting over tonsilitits DS has been up the last 4 nights with croup and gabriellas 1st tooth has now got infected and is miserable !!! 4 in the bed last night and lucky DH didnt even notice , said he slept really well .... grrrrr i had a baby on the boob all night and stinky sick fleghm breath from both .... ugh :(

Mel , dont have any nappies sorry , gabs is still in Med and will be for a while ... but i will have a look incase there is something in the "not really for me " pile ...

Ashton usually goes down at 8-9pm for the night, waking at 11.30, 2-3am, and 6am for feeds and being up at 7.30 to start the day...

Last night he woke up at 8 and stayed up till 11.30! So I put him in his bed and he cried, got him up and tried to feed him but he didn't want it, he just kept crying! Did all the normal, bum, feed, warm enough, bonjella, teething tablets, panadol but nothing worked. He just kept crying no matter if i was holding him, or we were sitting/laying/pacing/singing. He wouldn't play he wouldn't do anything so I cracked the ****s cos I was soooo tired, put him in his cot and left him there... thinking he would possibly cry himself to sleep, 15 minutes later he was still screaming (felt like an hour :()...

in the end I layed in bed with him and put the telly on and he didn't sleep till 1.20... then was up 3 times for a feed!

So not happy today. Angry that I lost it at him, he's only 10 months ffs... :( today he is a horrid whingy boy again... sigh...

No nappy news, except he just filled one... it was rank!

need NN help: y does they look like they'll slide off? we hv KK & sandman. I've done them so they r snug on the waist but when I have a peep the sandman looks like its on its way down last night...also is KK spose to feel damp in the morning or does it just means he pees alot? I don't have the same prob with fitteds though. Could it be that they r sidesnappers? If that's the case, what is there to try?

I hated the weekend (even thou we watch the doggies kill hawks) but the postie don't come on weekends! I know, I'm sad...

I have a BBH bamboo fitted and matching wool soaker I don't want, is that what you want? I can't stand BBH anymore!

Stupid qn, but since night nappies work so well, why do people bother with day nappies? Why dont they just wear night nappies during the day for longer?

Yes our sandman slides down a bit but not by much..hmm maybe you need another snap???

The easy answer to that is that the layer closest to the skin gets damp first even though the urine is passing through to the other layers and the longer the dampness is against your babies skin the greater the risk of nappy rash. Also you wouldnt want to sit in pooh for too long either.

jetlag+toddling teething monsters = no sleep
Tried to get DS to sleep from 9.30 last night (when he dozed off while feeding) but he wouldn't have a bar of it and screamed himself hoarse for hours. Nappy change, medication, cuddles in front of the TV, more BB, all the things I could think of to get him to quit screaming, but nope... Finally slept after midnight, but woke at 2.30 screaming again. Changed him out of the sposie DP put on him (argh!! stupid foreign pull-up nappies DP bought in France, have to literally rip them apart to get them off!!) and fed the boy back to sleep again by 4. My poor BBs are sore today. Up again at 9, and all the nappies hanging on the clotheshorse in the loungeroom are still wet after a day and night in front of the heater.
And the BumGs I returned because of the shoddy elastic will not be replaced...
So I think I'm just going to have to replace the elastic in them myself. That's about the only option I can afford right now! Even the not-so-shoddy ones don't fit properly anymore now that DS is walking. In the meantime, I think we'll just go back to boosted terry flats for at home. At least until the weather improves and it doesn't take a week to dry everything. Old school!

Gigi - didn't get anything duty free. They don't sell MCN at the airport!

Thanks Maz, you're a sweetie! But it's ok. I'm going to go see my mum in a few weeks and she can do it for me. She used to be a dressmaker, so she's got the machines & stuff and has fixed the V2 I had already. And besides, right now I can't even afford the postage! Stupid GFC...
Maybe you could recommend some elastic tho?

Sounds like it was a rough night for a few of the gals here! After many of those nights we actually had a good one last night. I tried some body shop sleep spray at the bottom of her sleeping bag not sure if that helped but will be using it again tonight!

Nappy related just waiting for a certain store to stock some eco bubs!!!

sorry I was so upset before. I didn't want to go into it cos I was already a blubbering mess. I hate being ripped off... It's not like I have the money to just throw away YK. And it wasn't a lot to some people but it was to me :( Especially at the moment. ARGH

I got ripped off by pickles123. They were on before and someone didn't recieve their nappies from them from somewhere else, so they got suspended, but I had already brought nappies from them and was waiting for them.
So a week later they were reactivated, and she said she had posted the nappies off, that was 4 weeks ago. Still waiting. Since then she's told me that they were returned to her (funny coincidence that's what she said about the other nappies from the other buyer) and she has since resent them and they should be here. I paid for registered but she wont give me the tracking number. She is ignoring my emails, i've sent about 20 in the last month and a half and she's replied to about 5.

So I contacted admin, they are making me feel **** like whatever! Just being totally rude! No protection for buyers on there. Telling me that it's not like she can reach through the screen and make them reply to my emails and send the nappies. WHO THE HELL SAYS THAT TO SOMEONE WHO IS HAVING ISSUES WITH YOUR SITE?! wth! :( So basically there is nothing they can do, i've lost my money and my nappies, B4B aren't doing **** as far as I can tell (infact she seemed like she didn't believe me) and I am so annoyed.

missymel- oh no! and ur weekend wasnt the best either...hope something works out, ive given up on buying on b4b, i usu jst contact the seller & buy direct. but it seems like the seller is a b!tch too. dont like it when ppl r being dishonest. :hug:

Tomorrow I post some nappies that no longer fit Ashton off to a home where they will be loved and appreciated, that should make me feel better!

ozebaby hun. Google it and go to the Cherubs Kiss store. It's very very hard to get one, but not impossible if you are fast enough. They are usually up there for about the whole of a second :lol:
