well we are definetly fully cloth now, and dh has even changed her a few times, I worked today and will be tomorrow. Dh droped me there then took bub, the went and did a few thing he brought her home, down for a sleep and change then brought her over to me for lunch and a bf. He even went visiting his mum with cloth. So proud of him. Picked me up, and came home, no big probs with any thing, he had a great day.

WORB bbh bamboo and pink wool cover, down for the night.

big day in our house nappy wise - i decided i don't want to use flats anymore, bubba should be big enough for some of her small nappies rather than newborn, and we'd check out the OSFM as well. Iish flys - great fit (on the smallest setting), BG's (the same - kinda weird calling nappies BG's though!), GK fit nicely, small Envoy fits nicely - cushies, not yet - leg gape issues... so we're washing and semi-retiring the flats - still a sure fire back up, but we're gonna see about being in MCN's full time rather than just flats overnight and at home for convenience. lots more pretties to show off now! haven't check BBH and BBB but dragged out some bigger HH sherpas and spunkybutts fitteds for over nite use

WOEB - ummmm i think it's the GK but can't be sure - DH did the last nappy change

BG, how much does E weigh? cause I still cant get my GKs to fit lil man and he is 6.5 kg but (I think it was lea who described Gabs like this) he looks like a frog! He has this big round belly and sort of a short flat bum and these little frog legs that even come out at the same angle as kermits. Anyhoo, I am rapidly finding out that narrow crotch, short rise work for us. The gk might be ok folded down in a sort of NB fold but then the tabs wont cross over to stay stuck.
I am sure he will grow into them.
But I am not so sure about my WC bling, I think they may be too long in the rise
And the BBB, still fit funny, even on NB, they sort of look like a bamboo sarong, hanging down near his knees
AHH to cull or not to cull?,my gut tells me to bugger them all off and go buy 10 pop ins. What should I do?
    Help

the nappy was $42.50 , i thought seesh thats exxy but its a one off and a special one , so i didnt mind ... plus $7.70 of exp so it was about $50 .

FIL chaneged a nappy yesterday gabbi even did a poo for him ... he did put a sposie on and when i came back he was worried he didnt put the sposie on right ... so i didnt want to scare him with a cloth

Well i'm back (for a bit)... Been taking a break from BB for a bit but just updated my May baby thread so thought i would pop in...

T is going well with the MCNS still... Its been great to have no NR and the Moo Goo is FAB stuff. DD is getting so big now i'm in almost all Large sized MCNS now So many dont fit or are wrong shape for her now... I have about 20 large MCNs and thats been ok to handle so i dont really need more... So i have a few girly ones for sale if anyone is interested in what i have PM me...

Miss T is VERY keen on the potty and toilet... i'm not pushing but she is always bringing me the potty and she actually does use it... I'm just going with her flow but she really hates to have a wet nap... only 1 wee and she wants it off... Should i look something to help her feel dry or should i try trianing pants??

MLM - we haven't had E weighed for a while now - when she was 8 weeks, she weighed 4.8kg - she's now a bit over 11 weeks - if she gained weight at the same rate as she was she's probably about 5.3kg now. she is reasonable long, stocky up top, slims down heaps at her hips - but she still has a bit of chunk on her thighs. the GK was probably the worst fitting of the ones that fit her yesterday - but it will do as a back up nappy. it didn't have leg gape and fit nice around her tum, but gave her a droopy bum down to her knees! was ok when we first put it on but didn't stay ok lol. i figure it's one that will do her for a while, so it will go in the "no other nappy available, i'll use this" pile. it was given the seal of apoopal (loved this when i read it!) so it can't have been too bad!

spunky buts small fitted was a success last night. we did have a small blow out this morning - but i don't think i've come across anything other than a Maz cover that can contain those morning poops - they are rocket powered!

I take it back about the WC, they went from zero to hero in the space of 1 day
MIL and FIL came over for brekky and I knew Lil Man had no poos left (arrgg, sooo gross -got him out of bed, played morning kisses and knee bouncy, and didnt realise he was loaded ohh, it was nAsty and huge. Thank god it was a sposie, but I recon there wasnt a square inch of that nappy that didnt have poo on it, plus a bit of leg seepage, ICKY.)So I decided to be a show pony and put the bling on. Anyhoo, PERFECT!!
Now I have to revisit the others and see how we go.
    My baby has morphed..
BG, I treat my GKs the same as you, cause I know in my heart of hearts that they WANT to be a good nappy, they have everything going for them, they try so hard, just not yet for us.
I cant wait to try a BBB now, I hope they go better, cause I really want them to work for summer for us. (no cover, just dagging around at home but breathable)
BTW, it was evil MIL who was over here and she was busy telling me how I have to take DS to her place later in the week cause all her family have been told about my "wonderful" MCNs, grrr, was singing a different tune 6 months ago
Oh Oh, meant to say, went to Toys r us for the first time today, I lurve that place... so much to see.....

Dp wants a "Mans" nappy for days he has to take DS on the job. (apparently this entails something with motorbikes on it, preferably the Honda logo )
ROLF, DF has put his order in for some nappies with "holden" on them - I told him in his dreams, but i'll keep an eye out

LOL Teagz....My DH has requested a Holden nappy or two aswell (he works for Holden)...If anyone knows where, let me know!!

Lea...omg!!! That nappy is so very very gorgeous!!! Wowie!!

AFM...Ive been away from the pc for awhile....DH had a week off work so I had to share lol SO Im very much behind. Thinking this year I might try to play along in the Nappy Hunt thingy Still going along with the trial and error thing with my MCN....mixing and matching covers with boosters etc. Im really getting used what is working and what isnt, tho I guess I shouldnt get too settled to that cos its bound to change as soon as DS grows a little more lol. Im thinking about making my own boosters for some brands that just arent lasting very long, so Ive finally popped into the nappy making board too...just trying to decide if its worth the fabric cost and effort or if I should just jump in and get a 10 pack of the GK boosters....hmmmmm

Congrats on full time cloth Sweatpea! And BG - out of the flats - another milestone!!

Well I'm very proud of us . . we just went to our 3 day annual convention at Acer Arena for church, and we did it all in cloth (Although, that did mean kneeling on the toilet cubicles floors whilst changing DD it was well worth it. Not a leak, not a problem, not a cent wasted on a pack of sposies.

WOEB: Terry Fitted and BBH Cover (which DH forgot at first but caught it before any dampness)

argh! back to nappies not lasting long - how could i forget the lack of absorbancy first few wears?? feeling a tad bit ummmm, daft today! DD has graduated from NB to small in the HH sherpas - still plenty of room to move around her in the nb, but not in the rise. anyhoot - she woke this morning, filled her nappy as is her morning ritual - and mummy put on a nice new sherpa nappy with maz cover. she had another feed and back to sleep and we came out to get brekki. not 10 mins later she was having a big whinge so DH went to get her - and given that she doesn't wee much overnight, her first morning wee is HUGE - and soaked through the nappy, leaked out the cover, through her clothes, her wrap, and our bedding!! will teach me to let her sleep in our bed in the morning i guess...

on the upside, i'd been lazy this weekend and hadn't changed the sheets - figured they could wait... i now have nice clean bedding again lol

WOEB - yellow itti, soon to be something else entirely - depends on what my hand finds when it dives into the stash lol

sigh - best go get the washing out of the dryer and hang it all up... just wish the poppet would sleep while i do it

mlm - laa was like that too with WC! they were ok one day then awful the next - so I sold them once we found great side snappers!

bg - laa only fit into NB for 2 weeks or so, I put them away a few weeks ago and i cant wait to use them again. I want to try next year, DH is thinking not yet.... ahhhh we'll see

I am waiting on some special fluff, I hope it gets here soon, i get so stressed. I think one of the wraps I bought has gone completely missing in the post

anyone see those beetlebum night nappies on B4B? I put my bid in but not enough to nab them, that lady beetle was sooooooooooooooooooooooo freaking gorgeous but missed out on that too

wohb - sugarshot! baby pink pocket
