    Hello ladies!!

I am after a christmas custom for christmas funnily enough!! I have tried looking at GF's embroidery designs but am finding it quite frustrating to go use the site. Does anyone know if I can I just email her what I'm after? I'd use BOB but I'm after a side snapper.

On other nappy news DH has been using suedo cream on DD all flipping week!!!! I have told him so many times not to use it with cloth or without a liner but he obvisouly didn't take it in. Now I have a weeks worth of nappies to strip wash!!! Grrr.

    hey guys!

Havent read through the whole thread but Abby Gros - personally I much prefer the new style of snaps! Holds the wings in much much better. Nice booster system too

Ezy - find something you like, and email Nikki. You can check out the embroidery site "urban threads" for things that you like. (be warned, there will be LOTS of things that you like!!) Hey we still gotta do lunch......

Set Laa up in an awesome outfit today (nappy made the outfit!) as soon as we got there she did a major SHTINKOS. oh well

    Hi all,

been lurking (and hiding so I could get uni work done) but have a query, I know I seen people ask and get an answer for this problem but I can't remember what it means.

Problem - (sometimes not always) DS leaks from the top of his nappy at the back. Most of the time I think it's overnight but not every night may be up to once/twice a week at most. We don't have leg gape and the waist is done up tightly but not too tight for DS not to breathe in It's mostly in our IBs but sometimes happens with the BGs and GKs too

hi all just wanted to get this off my chest , a while ago someone asked about issy bear nappies ?
early last year i went to have a squiz at them and i could have sworn they were a copy of GK .. (either that or an other nappy is ) any way ... at the markets yesterday , they were selling and DH said , "go check out issy bear " and i thought ... well i'll see .. not gonna buy any as i havent heard anything about them , i was ignorant coz of what ive heard on the grapvine and my own stoopid assumptions .....

lo and behold ...... i bought 3 !!!!!! WOW they are so well made and the boosters are massive and great for over night use .... and i totally ate humble pie .... Gabbi is wearing one now and it fits good , its a OSFA and needs one extra snap in the middle of the sizing snaps but apart from that , i am in love

AND they are trim enough in the crotch so gabs doenst walk like a cowgirl ( not as trim as an itti but more like the width of a GF !!! i cant use the BBH multifits as they are too wide for her tiny crotch )

so there , i admit i was wrong , i apologise AND they are only $29 ea and made in WA please forgive me

so now its time for a cull so i can make room!!

ETA : leckert - maybe a heavy wetter ? i find gabbi out pees an itti if shes had too many bottles . maybe do a strip was and see or grab some mini booster (if you dont already have some ?)

DS still doesnt fit Ittis I bought in April. Massive wing droop I think I may have to give up. I have 8 of them and bought 6 brand new and know I wont get anything decent for them *sigh* I wish they worked they look so cute!

What size are they Rhy? If you aren't in hospital by the t2t do you have somewhere to stay if you make it down? I think if you do make it down we will send you home with a NB stash as Miss Leah is finally starting to outgrow them.

Em has had 4 accidents in a week. Only 4!! I am amazed!! and only when she is tired!!

We are finally catching up on the washing now that we dont have to wash the nappies quite so much, we can fit other stuff in the load with them so DH and I are going to sort through clothes tonight. I will have room in my wardrobe again. Man I am having a good day today!!

these mcn you get the back leaks with, how is the rise on them for your bub?
do you see any bottom crack when nappy is done up?

wild guess, without seeing it IRL, my first impulse is to suspect the rise of the nappies is not high enough for your little one.

high rise nappies are an especially good move at night - to contain everything when babies are on their back, wriggling and kicking thru their sleep cycles.

and - is any clothing tucked in at night? e.g singlet, pj top? cos that can cause wicking.

just some thoughts, i could be off the mark, but it's a cyberspace blind guess.

oh, and if the fit (e.g rise) is great, and you're not tucking in any clothing, if you suspect it's an absorbency thing, it's quite common to double boost the end where your baby wees the most. Esp where they wee the most at night. SO if you KNOW your bub wees the most at the back, make sure you add an extra booster in the back section of the nappy. Even if they wee more at the FRONT in a day nappy.

if you don't have any mini boosters, fold a bamboo terry facewasher into half, something like that. Nb or small sized boosters are great for this too. i got 12 nb sized boosters for the early stage, and used them until bilby was tt-d, to "extra boost" the wetzone in the bigger sized nappies after nb stage - so you don't get an overstuffed nappy, you're just "extra boosting" the bit your child REALLY needs it.

i tried initially just putting say, an extra trifold in, but if that's complete overkill, and your baby doesn't need the extra absorbency ALL throughout the nappy, you end up with an enormous watermelon nappy! so i was told about the extra boosting idea (little one, JUST in the area needed, not entire nappy), and that worked much better (for us).

Rhyb, Arimeh (i am pretty sure) has extra snaps put on her ittis and that fixed her wing droop.
Maybe find someone with a snap press (did you get one Ali?)
Lea, what markets were you at?
are you going to Mt gravatt this weekend?

Ive thought about extra snaps. They are larges so itll be ages before I can try them on the girls to see if theyre worth holding onto.
Ali- Im trying to convince my family I can go to t2t going to talk to my drs at next clinic appt and see what they think Hopefully they say yes
I got my DM in the mail today so cute and purple!! Cant wait to try it on DS.
Also got 2 HUGE bags full of NB stuffs organised by Limeslice and from so many people I dont know who to start thanking. DS acted like it was christmas come early and Ill admit there were a few tears as I went through it all. Thanks guys it means so much to me!!

MLM - Yep, I have 1. Very useful.

Rhy, I think they would be most concerned about the travel, coz if the girls did come the NICU is here, and specialised obs (just avoid Dr Green if you can ). If they did come beforehand would they be sent here?

Leckert - What nappy brand are the ones leaking? I find that no matter how much boosting we have in magicalls we have that problem with Leah. The waterproofing is no-where near the elastic on them so she leaks out the top.

WOLB: HH WITH MAL cover, poos are breaking the 6 day rule.

Absolutely! I was shopping one day Rhyb, thinking about you and I wandered up the baby aisle and popped a few things in my trolley for you and then thought...oh no, I don't even know what brands you use, what if I got you the wrong thing...so if I'm thinking this, I bet there are lots of girls thinking this...

What do you like to use, what do you need, can we make you anything like bum wipes or cot sheets? Don't be shy, seriously, if you put up a list of what you needed, people may have one laying around not being used that they could send to you. It makes us feel useful & warm 'n fuzzy on the inside so you'd be doing us all a big favour.

Arrived back home from a beautiful weekend break away at the beach to fluffy mail on the doorstep 2 GF side snappers to try woohoo. I got one with the skull fabric around the top of the nappy, super cute for my little metal baby. His daddy is very happy with that purchase. If they fit well Im gonna fine tune them and get some customs done. And after peoples good reports with the night nappies, i reckon we'll have to try one of those too. DS is a HUGE wetter overnight.

    Hi to all
