JESS - i would contact wherever you bought the LS from, and tell them what has happened. See what they suggest.

bilby's dad has enough plumbing knowhow and tools to replace a tap washer, and that enabled him to install our LS (from instructions we found on the internet by googling for it).

if the seller doens't help, i would contact nurture nappies or baby beehinds and ask them for help. (they both sell them too). i think there is enough "goodwill" in the MCN community, so even if you bought the LS from elsewhere, wouldn't matter.

I have never used the BBH MInkee Magic-Alls, can anyone tell me how they fit around the legs? I have a 20mo with chubby thighs and a 2mo with skinny thighs... any ideas if they will suit either?

Matilda does have a couple of the smooth magic-alls and they fit fine but they are velcro where the minkee ones are snaps... any ideas?

Also if I buy them is it worth buying extra boosters or not?

MAZ - Sorry I haven't got back to you about the prefolds, exploring my options at the moment and wondering if I can make it through with what I have and move her into some small AIO's .

What is your carrier like Maz? I have a basic sling for Matilda, it has been great but she is now starting throw herself back in it, would yours be more supportive to prevent this? I have a Ergo too but I am not liking it at the moment...

The magic alls seem to fit DS(3) pretty good since he was 16months when we start cloth. he had skinny legs and now there a tad on the chubby side and fit good too

Cant help with the 2 month old but i do have a few Magic All Smalls that are a lil bigger compared to my small itti bitti, ive heard they work at night time really good because they have the pocket at the back so i hope so

I have extra boosters for DS for night time and it lasts the night.. pretty good considering nothing else worked.

I wasn't too much of a fan of the magicalls, but the petitalls look SO good that I had to order 3.........................

I have tried the small bitti d'lishes on DD2 but her legs are to skinny she just wees out the side but the med/lge are great on DD1.

I like the the look of the new petitalls but I am trying to avoid AI2's, I have alot of them as is and with 2 in cloth I am looking for a quicker folding option, slack I know! plus it makes it easier for DH. I wish they were AIO's.

The magic-all minkees have a bit of a leg gusset right? Like the smooth ones have? DD1 really needs the gusset with her skinny legs.

Also, does anyone use any solutions etc to make there wipes smell nice? I have always used cloth wipes and water but DD1 has been getting a little stinky lately she just smells unclean IYKWIM even though I clean her at every change, any ideas on what I can do to freshen her up?

I brought some of the petite alls but in Medium as i have 20 Smalls as is.. ooops :P ive never used a side snapping nappy before so shall be interesting. Im gunna wait to get some BBH Night Nappies. we had a hard time trying to find a night nappy that worked for DS.

As for wipe solution i used a few different ones that bubblebubs sell hope it helps

I have more than enough nappies too, problem is Matilda is changing shapes so much as she grow and what used to work doesn't so much anymore , oh well at least I can use them for Annabelle and Annabelle is so little and skinny at the moment, I really wasn't expecting it! I just assumed she would be the same as Matilda! Ohh well good excuse to buy fluff .

I will have a looksie at the bubblebubs solution. Has anyone tried the Monkey Doodlez Wipes Cubes? I like the look of them but I am a little hesitant as they are $20 (makes 50 litres).

DaintreeDream - I tried the magicalls on DS when he was a bit younger and they were a poor fit for him then and they still are. I found the crutch far too wide for him and it gave us too many gapes in other spots. So we have to go for narrower style nappies, side snapping mostly work great. He is a long skinny bub and very narrow round the hips & butt. But you never know they might be great for your girls.

Not much to report here, we got some more custom Widdlewuns made at the start of the year. They are a superb fit for DS and great because he wees A LOT. They've been the best so far in terms of absorbency. And we got some cute designs too. Very well made nappies.

And....I need to get my head around newborn fluff sometime before Sept! We were never organised enough when DS was born so he was in sposies until about 4 months, I'd like to try and get cloth sorted for bub #2 a lot earlier than that. I'm thinking prefolds might be the go? If the next bub is built anything like DS then most of the other types are just going to be too big & bulky during those early few weeks.

In regards to newborn fluff - I use Maz prefolds and covers and they are fantastic - they are good value for money too.
I have a heap of different fitteds (busy bee, kids in cloth, bambineo etc) too and to be honest I find them all great. I think I have been very lucky, my DD seems to fit anything well that has a cover, and the absorbancy seems fine for us in all of them.
But as I said value for money, prefolds and a cover.
Just my opinion on what works for us .

Hi Daintree Dream - I was just hoping you could answer a question for me about prefolds? I have done heaps of research and ordered some from Weewuns and am just confused with one thing. Some of the prefolds seem to be in a certain shape already whereas some look like ordinary cloth nappies. I figured that the cover/prefold thing is the most economical way to go (however I have also bought some BBH and Peapods) but am just a bit confused by it. That said, can't wait to get my hot little hands on them and figure out how it all works!!

I have afew prefolds on layby with Maz for next bub...even though i'm not even preggers yet!!! and i have a layby with another WAHM who is making me NB Ai1's
i personally think prefolds are the way to go with a NB!!!

Check out Booroi prefolds - economical and they are great back ups! (if I run out of nappies I can still use them in the Booroi covers!)

YAY Bimboo...babies all around atm. Melbel had Connor on the 4th, my BIL and his wife had a little girl - Milliana yesterday...man baby city.

Nappy news for me...Im getting a special Gf made in honour of J mans passoin for motorbikes. I so cant wait to see it. Ive got a mountain of minkee that needs to be folded and put away but it will have to wait. my bottom is still to sore after having my op yesterday.
