Purple is girly? My sister is having a boy and has purple garments. I thought it was unisex. I see purple on boys all the time.
ur telling me! i think i'll just have to get someone to buy some "girly" stuff and say, it was a gift, we have to use it!

am about to order some more fabrics, (when i get around to it) to have another couple of goes at making AI2. just wish my overlocker would come home from the service people sometime this century...they are waiting on parts and its all in pieces at the workshop atm ive got a growing pile of stuff waiting on its return... but they said today it'll be 1-2weeks before i can pick it up....

cmarf - my overlocker is all good! It's sitting there waiting for ME to stop feeling like I'm about to spew all over it so I can hop to and make some prefolds. And maaaybe some fitteds. I've done a couple, first two were ruuuuubbish, but I'm pretty happy with my 3rd one. And it has a Triple J logo on it Gotta love that.

Purple is SO not girly! I have a purple auriel and a pink IB in my stash (yes, Ammaki, it is quite extensive for only 14 weeks! ) and both will be used - boy or girl! I especially reckon purple with a black singlet and some flaming baby legs, and he'd still be more conservatively dressed than half my neighbourhood!

maz - I use the tinybirds pattern, nice and easy. Although my small soaker looks massive, more like a medium. The longies are the tinybirds pattern as well, but I have sort of tweaked it a little bit because the bum bit didn't look big enough to me to fit a NN underneath. So they're wonky as, but I am still so proud. They're all teal, because I got 10 balls of teal wool for $20. It was that or lilac, and I wanted to go a bit more gender neutral than that.

Must not order fabrics until I've gone through what I've got. Which is a LOT of minky, a little PUL, a fair whack of flanno and probably not enough bamboo.

Wow I haven't stepped in here for ages!! Hello to all the new faces

not much happenin in this cloth house, DD2 is in mediums well and truly (sob) and DS is toilet trained, and DD1 is currently in sposies because we think the cloth is causing her rashes that we can't get rid of. So unfortunately it might be sposies until she toilet trains, so sick of the rashes.....

    What did you try Mel?

The only thing we didn't try was raw silk liners. But we've tried all different sorts of liners, fabrics, nappies - and nearly all of them give her welts on her legs straight away, even if they are done quite loose. So we've tried all the nappy rash creams, nappy free time, changing every hour, sposies of a night time - nothing gets rid of the rash unless we put her in sposies.

    Over it.

Talk to your Dr about Elidel, it is an excema cream and about the only thing that has helped Em's flareups so far (the dermatologist put her on it) It has no steroids and rubs in fully. When she is mild we use calmoseptine and a liner.

Ah Mel that sux! Poor little bottom

Do you want some raw silk liners? I bought them and never used them on Charlotte, she just used them as rugs for her teddies rofl...but they are sitting here doing nothing now if you want to see if they help...

I have managed to restrain myself so far, bit too early to go off on spending sprees lol but having fun looking around the stores again

    WOCB: Undies lol

ETA: ooh I lie! lol I did sneak a prefold and some breast pads form MAL the other day! totally forgot It begins already!

i haven't been around much either - too busy with life in general i think! haven't done much in the way of buying til this past two weeks - i figured i'd been such a good mummy since DD's birth and hadnt' bought too much (OK, so i bought some MAL covers and night naps, but not much!) - anyway, last week i snapped up a couple of CGR's from a cancelled order (mermaid and princess), and a bonnibuns nappy (denim with kinda hippy word "LOVE" on the back), then there were some more CGR's (cupcakes and owls) and today i seen on FB a new store Bumcheeks so what the hell - they have gorgeous jeans nappies (denim with contrast stitching to look like jeans and then "feature" material on the pockets and around the waist like a belt) - i showed DH and he told me to order 2! oops! DD is in mediums and larges in everything now (well, everything that isn't OSFM) - i'm sitting here wondering if i hold onto our stash or cull - i really don't know if we'll have another and not sure if it's better to hold onto them (we probably wouldn't be able to afford much if we have another) or get rid of it all on the assumption we won't, and then just get what we need if another comes along... too hard!!

    WOEB - Tigerprint iishfly OSFM
WO the floor - the three new nappies that have arrived - apparently E knows they're hers and wont part with them!

    Funny you mention that mel.
Dd2 has a bad rash on her bum.
but it only seems to happen with oen brand of nappies, well that one brand flares it up.
we are trying hydrozole at the moment to see if it helps as they aren't welts but are more like fungal

DD1 is just egtting over fungal/ staph infection, so we are hoping its just that..

i hope she is allergic to cloth

I am still here too Just lurking more than posting.

I have discovered the pocket love - that's my only news really. They are just so much easier in winter, the shells dry so quickly and the boosters.... well, that is another story, but at least trifolds can go into the dryer easily.
