Thanks for the ideas - need to move them on , my hubby sees nappies everywhere he turns!
I am worried about the fit of the NB flattery - I have 2 small customs coming and my girl in only 4.5kg - I hope she fits them.

Well it's been a long time coming 7and a half months to be exact but I got my first pooplosion from my wee girl - my fault for putting on a nappy that was a bit too big for her so out it came down the legs - arrgghh!
WOSB - still a bbh nightnaps soon to be a angeltears
for those of you who use a bbh night nappy.. What cover do you use?
I never had a pooplosion with my DD, but I've already had 2 with DS in only 8 weeks. I think it has something to do with hitting the dam wall (ball sack) and therefore it havs to go up and back or out the sides because it can't go forward the same. It's just... wrong! LMAO

Hahaha I asked mum if she wanted to buy P some more BBH Magic-all Multifits yesterday (I put one on him and she thought it was gorgeous) but she almost fell over when I told her how much for one... It's was funny cos DH had the same reaction. Good thing I'd already bought them before I told him
Made some cute flannel flats the other day, only prob is snappis don't work and the cover will hide them... Thinking of investing in some good old nappy pins for when we're just around the house and a cover isn't absolutely necessary
WOHB some fitted nappy (no brand label on it) and a cute cover from BigW with cars/trucks on it...
for our night naps we use maz coverswe have a couple of personalised ones coz he only uses them at night we have 4 but only use 2 im thinking of selling one of them that isnt personalised
WOMB: raspberry slush monkey CGR love my mum for buying this for him
WOSB: flat and maz hands and feet fleece cover
with our bbh nights we use either a disana wool soaker or a swaddlebees wool cover, although hubby forgot to put a soaker on overnight the other night and his clothes were still dry in the morning.
I used wool covers when we used fitteds overnight, my fave is the loveybums
managed to score a couple more BB nb/s's so now nappy stash for the squish is perfect!!! come out baby as laa keeps saying
wohb - SS! koi ai2
I managed to get some of the (not made anymore) bbh wool covers.

Hi girls
I'm starting to build a stash, my bubs not due for a while yet, but I wanted to ask halltribe about peapods. I have bought some to start with and am looking to prob get some prefolds/flats and covers for the newborn stage. But just wondering how they were for NB stage?
thanks
Hi ladies! I might join you if that's ok
I'm fairly new to using MCN.. I started out with PeaPods but have now advanced to BBH Magicall's and IttiBitti D'Lish which I am loving!! I have just ordered another 10 itties! I am still using sposies overnight at this stage and I'm a bit scared of progressing to nighttime mcn just yet! I do have a few BBH bamboo fitteds that don't fit DS the greatest around his legs (I was going to sell them) but would they be ok to use at night with an appropriate cover?
Also, does anyone else find the slightest poo smell lingers on the nappies straight out of the machine? Using earths choice liquid at the moment.
I am looking forward to learning more about mcn and to getting to know you all![]()
Heys Stoked,
I'm just rejoining as I'll have a newborn soon!
I use bicarb for my MCN, or some lux flakes (about half as much as it says) dissolved in hot water with bicarb in the rinse (bicarb will get rid of soap). Poo smell should't be there, do you rinse the nappies before putting them in? Or use a liner?
With night nappies, I initially used BBH with 2 long boosters instead of 1 long 1 short - it bulked it up and made it fit a lot better. If you're after some good side-snappers, try MazNights maybe?
Heya Kaz!
Stoked: What she ^^ said lmao. I used BBHs boosted for night-time with a Maz cover or flongies & they worked fine; were generally soaked in the morning though the cover/clothes/bedding would be dry.
*sigh* Was expecting all sorts of fluffy mail but alas gave been told that the covers that I thought were posted a week ago weren't & the CTs I got on fb have been accidentally sent to TASMNIA!!
Have 2 Issys on their way from a sale but I think they are in WA so they'll be ages too... All that & being overdue makes for a bit of a disappointed/bored Mama!!
They might not be that long QM, I've found that the prepaid post bags only take two days, hence the reason I don't often splurge on express because if they don't post it by 11am it's not next day delivery and would come the day after anyway.
Peapods are not suitable for newborn - they are just too big. I love my prefolds for newborns.
I have a CGR coming that Amy made for me special - can't wait to see it - should be in the post today
WOSB - Angeltears - my fav nappy.
Does anyone use soap nuts for washing their nappies? I just got given some.
