Skybie, it's probably the teething that caused the poosplosion. DS has been doing them too and he is cutting a molar... I actually contemplated (only for a second though!) throwing out the nappy with the offending poop! It was gross!

Its possible J. Everyone's different. Some people go back to the 4 weekly cycle straight away, others go months, others, years.
AF came back at 9 months PP for me, even with BFing DS, but never regular, a friend has just weaned her 2.5 year old & still no sign of it.

Mine came back after five and was very light, (full bf too) by about 8 months it started ticking over like a clock again. Everyone is different!

So, how many times do you all wash your nappies before you use them?

Helle - I don't, lol. Second hand ones I will, but new ones go straight on the butt to see how they look
I used to make sure I did the 3 hot washes of bamboo etc first, but I don't worry now. I know (from making my own) that all fabrics are washed before nappies are made, especially bamboo to help with the shrinkage. I hot wash my bamboo & dry in the dryer to get max shrinkage done before I use it to sew.

Go for it! It just might not hold a huge amount just yet. The more you wash the more they hold

Oh yeah for sure. I just wondered if it was a "no no" to use a nappy before it's three standard washes.

Butt they'll still be cute! (sorry, couldn't resist the pun)

Well ladies, last night was interesting, went through my big box of nappies and sorted them all out. Have pulled out all the BBH / BBB for quoll, will wash them on Sunday afternoon so they have Monday/tuesday to dry.Haven't done a count as yet.

Have bought a few NB / Smalls (aio/ai2 mostly, plus some covers) - mixture of second-hand and new. Have managed to misplace an enviro-bag full of NBs in the past week - was going to take it to hospy with me, doh! Waiting on an angeltears set to be posted out, paid last week but still unshipped? how annoyment.

So a few of my old nappies from Pip are GK prints - anyone using them on NBs?

WOQB - still in mummy's tummy

I have a GK here I could use on Summer, just forgot. I always thought it was too girly for Jesse. Will try it on her. She's only just over 5kg, so not too far above NB size...

The AngelTears nappy I won took about 2 weeks as well. I had to chase it up. I thought it was just coz I won it & wasn't as important coz I only had to pay postage? Least it got here before christmas, since it is a christmas nappy, lol.

Come on Quoll.... we're all ready!

Good luck finding the bag of nappies, lol.

WOSB - still the same pocket change... she didn't give me time to change her before drifting off again!

They might do a weekend deliver next week, lol.

I'm starting to wonder & be very, very greatful I'm not using sposies. I used them the 2 weekends we went away when she was 5 & 6 weeks old 7 she had a rash the whole time. Since being back in cloth full time, nothing.
She's got shocking eczema on the top of her back & shoulders, under one arm & in her neck crease. I think its coz over the last few weeks I haven't worried as much about her stuff going in the wash with ours & powders. I've never put powder in with her nappies, so I think thats what the problem is.
    Poor bubba

WOSB - Ivory Itti I think.
