    Hi ladies,
Just joining the thread. We've gone cloth recently after being introduced to some great bargains in the cloth nappy hunt. Just about full time cloth though trying hard to finish using all the sposies we still have. Loving the feeling of cloth on her bum

Hi caixin! Welcome! It is so much nicer patting a cloth cover bottom. DD even chooses which nappy she wants to wear and sometimes gets rather excited about it

AFM, in the process of hot washing the cotton flannelette to cut and hem into flats. I think I might wait until my father comes over so that he can help me select correct stitch for durability. He is also bringing a packet of nappies I can use as a size guide!

More poo and a red raw bum he screams whenever I wipe and for 20 minutes after. I think it's teeth poo.

Wojb. Terry flat with a CT insert as a liner (thanks CL!) So his poor bum can air out and lots if moogoo!

he came up with this spotty rash... It's weird. Sometimes they make him rash up and sometimes they don't. I wonder if some of them have extra residue or something left on them from when they're made.
Anyway it was gone by morning (after sleeping in his MAL )
Is he teething when the rash seems to appear? Pixie really reacts to sposies when she's teething. I think it's something in her wee at the time that makes the chemicals acidic? She ends up with a red pair of knickers on if she's teething and has no barrier cream in a sposie.

WOCB: Black Abby Gro still. She decided she would nap 10 mins after I changed her

CL I think he is. I have had four peanut butter poos today and his bum is red raw. Hes restless, whingy... I think ive almost convinced him into a nap tho. He's snuggle up next to me while we watch how I Met your mother with a very vacant look on his face

Are you finding the CT boosters as liners good helle? We passed the peanut butter poo stage which burnt the top layer of skin off her bum yesterday and we're up to the residual mild constipation part of this teeth round! Poor pixie is grumpy though and she has a mozzie bite the size of a marble on her wrist to top it off. The three molars cutting at once is a KILLER! at least they should be over and done with soon right?

WOCB: Night sposie. Tried the cloth again last night and she's still outwetting even though she's not waking at all.

I enquired about Maz's night nappies and now I am just waiting to find out what materials I can get!!! I am soooo addicted to fluff I just want to keep buying more and more...
I have just bought samples for different bamboo material and I am going to make my own cloth wipes. Flannel on one side and bamboo cotton/flannel on the other, or maybe terry. Who knows! LOL

WOCB: Pop=In original with the night booster... HUGE booster so if it works, these will be her night nappies...

I'm getting my customs off Maz posted Monday! I'm soooo excited. The workmanship is A-MAZ-I-N-G. I just made a funny. Everything I have bought off Maz has washed and washed and washed and still been shmick! That's what I like about buying off WAHMs, they can't afford to make junk or word spreads and they take that little bit of extra pride in their work!

WOPB: same as before and I'm off to bed shortly (as soon as I find it under the washing pile!)

I just wanted to join in this thread. I've been in and out, but with three weeks to go, I think I should start actually join in. With my nappy hunt purchases and some kindly donated stash I *think* I have enough nappies to get past the first few months at least!

I haved bought quite a range of nappies, some sized, some OSFM, plus prefold and covers, so I should be able to get through newborn and into the 4-5kg plus stage. PLUS I have been donated almost 60 flats (terry and flannel). I know everyone says flats don't go astray for spew rags and the like, but I have no idea what I'll do with 60 of them, plus all the MCN I have! I have 7 PUL covers (I think) and most things I've read say 6 is a good number, but does anyone use the shells of pockets as a cover? I have some pockets that are either OSFM (eg green kids) or the small prob won't fit for a while (peapods) and just wondered if they would be any good at using over a flat since they are a bit bulky?

    thanks!

Welcome mellybelly. I'm not sure about the covers but thought I'd mention the peapods look alot bigger than they are. Infact most of ds's nappies look too big but fit well so don't be afraid to try them on from the start.

Mine have a special clothes horse dedicated just to them. I have an external laundry so I just open the window in it to sun/air the nappies. If I hang them on the night before they get sun from about 5:30 til 10:30ish. The best bit is that it's puppy proof (if DP remembers to shut the door anyway )

WOCB: Soon to be dinner. She's gone very quiet which means she's up to business

Haha jak - you have succumbed to the bug!!!! Don't feel bad, I was (at the height of my addiction) the proud owner of 143 nappies. For 2 children. *cough cough*

I was thinking of picking up some smalls at the firefly tonight, cos Christie has some listed, but I probably shouldn't cos really we can't afford it lol

Welcome to the newbies in the thread *waves*

Melly- I have lots of covers, probably about 10 per child. I don't use that many for the two older girls, but dd3 poos a lot and poo gets on the cover so I definitely need as many as I have. I have Maz covers for her cos I prefer the breathability of fleece over pul. Newborn covers are still fitting well at 3 weeks old, but she also fits into smalls.

Oh and for the person asking about good night nappies - widdlewuns, gf super trims and fluffy bubs were the favorites in this house. Unfortunately the girls started to rash up too much being in full time cloth so we use sposies of a night now. I did get Christie to make me some night nappies with bamboo velour on the inside so we are going to trial that and see if that makes a difference. Next year I won't be able to afford sposies or to buy new nappies do have to make sure my stash is good enough by the end if this year.

    Wothekidsbutts- widdlewuns. All of them.
