Did any of you use sposies after vaccinations? W is doing some pretty wicked poops and I don't want to ruin his naps. Plus it's just shooting out the sides.
Washing every 2 days is fine. I personally wouldn't go more than that.
Mrs b - prefolds are awesome! I use them with DD3 but I use flats with the older two if I have to, being in tassie with the crap weather and all!
Audax - don't get too excited - the gf's are custom ones I had made with extra snaps so I wouldn't get wing droop. Added bonus is they last for ages!

Jaki - nah I kept them in cloth. Do you have any good covers to keep the poo contained?
i just kept DS in cloth with all his vaccinations.
i am not sure the pop ins are for us either. DS has now worn it 3 times and the first two times he had it on for 10 mins before he pooped in it. then i put it on yesterday afternoon and it just didnt fit right. not sure what i did. might wash it and have another play otherwise i think i might just put it away for if we decide to have another baby.
WOHB - bbh petite in latte
I kept Kolton in Cloth but I also did not notice any change in his poo. Still formed and soft. Sorry Could not be more help. Oh and he is ff. ; )
WOKB: bitti tutto Navy Minkee
Um just a quick question, I put mine in a container with a lid. Should it be lidless?
mine has a lid too other like Arimeh, mine would stink within a couple of hours. i rinse the bucket out every few days (if i remember) with warm soapy water. otherwise a bit of bicarb in the bucket helps with smells
Perfect. Thanks guys. xx
I bought rockin green bucket sprinkle stuff... it is the rasberry one so you sprinkle a little on the bottom of the bucket and it smelss yummy
re shot, we've stuck with cloth and haven't had issues - but we wrap his up pretty tight ...
re buckets, we use lids, but I bathe DS every other day, and we use the soapy bathwater water to clean the bucket out after, which seems to work fine.
Q: nappy rash ... DH has awful patches of nappy rash where it's red and raised and basically looks like a sore. we've tried every imaginable thing from moogoo to prescription ointment, with and without barrier creams and powders and airing time and other stuff... nothing (not even the moogoo) seems to help ...
more ideas please?
it's worst in the area near his perineum toward his leg, if that makes any difference ...![]()
Arimeh - phew! Was about to give myself a complex!
I use a swing top bin for my nappies. So it has a lid, but heapsa airflow. We put bicarb in the bottom for the smell, then i just toss that in the machine with the naps.
Jaki - we use terry flats after shots, and any other old junk we have hanging around, like handmedown BBH fitteds. That way if we have to give Panadol (and we usually do) we don't have to worry about staining. But Nellie doesn't poo any more or less after vaxes.
I think I might *need* some new covers. I'm in denial about my smalls not fitting any more. Has to be good over flats, and no FOE. Any suggestions? Thinking maz-a-licious at the moment, but would love some other ideas.
WONB: CTBD and TotsBots fleece cover.
Nah we have no covers. I didn't think I needed any cause we don't have any prefolds or flats.
Just ordered another issy bear. I have NO control lol.
Q- what's the go with leg warmers? I notice alot of nappy pages stock them.
Wowb- green bonnibuns workhorse
Jaki - leg warmers - Baby legs? Lots of nappy users just have the nappy and leg warmers on their kids instead of pants.
However, being in tassie, I have baby legs on under their pants cos its so freakin' cold.
Audax -dunno mate, my covers are either motherease rikki or maz - thats all I have. Although only have maz covers for DD3 and have been ok - only one poo explosion so far when I didn't have the back of the prefold folded around to catch the poo.. hahaha
Peanutter - dunno about the rash, when my kids get really bad I put sudocream on it, as well as some cornflour and then chuck them in a sposie and it heals basically overnight.
Had a maz cover in newborn size, and adored it. Wish I'd put it on her more often. Might see about grabbing a couple more of those. WeeHuggers are pretty good too, but washing after every night use is annoying.
Jaki - I love BabyLegs, Huggaluggs etc mostly because they are cute, but also so darned easy to change their nappy. Noodle hates getting dressed/undressed, so with leggies on, it's just one manouevre, IYKWIM? Today she's in a cartoon panda pair that my sister bought her. Cute as.
WONB: Nuthin. Needs some air. About to stick her in a terry flat with some cream on.
I have a couple on the way Jaki, they make diaper change awesome and make potty training good too. I have heard heaps about them but have yet to see any bubs with them. Cannot wait till ours arrives, now that we have heat it will make cloth a bit more easier. Those itti bittis sure are bulky. xx
Mel: Does it snow it where you are?
you have heat LMP? Are you in canada?
I want some babylegs! But DH thinks they are dumb.. grr... Maybe when we get to townsville? I love babylegs with MCN and no top but a headband too! cute.. LOL!
Peanutter... moogoo doesn't work?! wow I am lost. Is he teething?
WOCB sky blue candie. So far no leaks, used 2 yesterday and another one today.. but she hasn't poo'd for 3 days so I am guessing it is going to explode out of whatever she is wearing when it happens!
