Is it with great delight now my twins are earthside I feel I can join in hereso far we have 74 nappies (not including prefolds) 34 of which I'm not sure on my neighbour bought them at a garage sale and tbh they don't look like they will hold much!
Can anyone recommend a fold for newborns when using pre folds as the boys are so little still I don't think our nappies will fit thank god I bought pre folds!

My next Bub I plan on using itty bitty d'lish smalls from the start. They are tiny

MrsS: with prefolds (trying to explain as best I can) I just folded both edges in so kinda like they were in thirds then fanned the back bit out and used those bits to pull around the front and then used a snappi if that makes sense. Congrats on the birth of your little boys.
Womb: no idea made DH take her and change her because I'm exhausted from the constant 2hrly feeding overnight.

He might just be mimicking you. DD actually squats during running around with no nappy on outside and will wee. It sounds gross I know but when she was teething and the weather was slightly warmer we needed to leave her nappy off or she'd get blisters with teething wee. Half of the battle is getting them to consciously wee/poo without a nappy on because the sensation is strange for them. She also holds her bladder for ages and squats while wearing a nappy to wee/poo.
Audax- the shells sound like an awesome idea but I have no velcro ones. Pea pods are velcro aren't they? I'm thinking I might just go knickers most of the time unless we're going out and avoid long periods of time out of the house for a fortnight or so. Guessing knicker style training pants will be the way to go to avoid confusion. Most of the house is floorboards except for the bathroom which is tiled so accidents won't be an issue if she oopsies at home.

mrsS, with the terry/flanel squares, the one i use for A is folded in a triangle, then in half to a smaller triangle, the terry i use a snappy to hold and the flanell i just put a cover on and that holds it. i know there are some great folds on here the nappy lady

Just do the normal fan fold, then flip the back down. Gives you an extra catching edge
CL - mayyyybe I can make you some. Don't want to promise though... with two very important 1st birthdays coming up and a baby starting solids, my sewing machine is getting a mad workout. Pretty sure the shells were snaps, front snapping though, so easy to get off.
