Bexie - I didn't like my medium ittis either really. I sold them. Yep, I make my own nappies. I don't have a specific pattern, I just draft my own, same as for a lot of stuff I make. I don't love my homemade ones at the moment. They fit well, but take aaaaaages to dry. They'd probably make good night nappies, come to think of it. Super thirsty. Hmmmm.

CL - OK, let me see what I can come up with. You just want pull-up type things, yeah? Microfleece inner (say yes, I don't have anything else) what kind of outer? Have PUL or minky, currently no fleece, but I'll see what I can do. Do you want an absorbent layer?

I just went through my stash and packed up all my newborn fluff and all the smalls except my GFs. Can't believe those bad boys still fit. Total win, I swear they are the best value nappy on the market. For us. Anyway, we are pretty much sorted from now until DD toilet trains. I was freaking out that I had too many (and I do have a lot), but realised that a lot of what she's wearing now will do her as larges too - like size 2 Auriels, M/L Petite Peonies, Bonnibuns OSFMs etc. Will need a couple of extra covers for the fitteds, but we're pretty much sorted. Yay.

So, yes, I just spent my Saturday night rearranging my little girl's undergarments.

Arrrgghh - leaks! Any suggestions? We went 11 months with only 1 or 2 leaks and now they seem to happen every couple of days. Is it possible that we just aren't putting the nappies on properly all of the sudden or that DD has changed shape and these ones no longer suit her? *sigh* The other day she had a small itti bitti on and granted, it is on the small side but still easily does up and I realised she was leaking. When I changed her even the shell was soaked! So maybe she's just wetting very heavily? Suggestions/advice/even point and laughs much appreciated

Am I going to be an experiment for Noodle's TTing pants? Like a knicker style thingo would be freaking awesome! Microfleece works I think?! Outer I will leave to you because I know you're awesome like that. An absorbant layer like a booster pad would be sweet. Just enough to catch some "oops I only half made it" dribbles. Seriously hun you should get some of these tried out, I give feedback and you go into business! You have the head for it!

ETA: Strangelk, I found DD's bladder grew AND she changed shape at 11 monthsish. Has she just growth spurted/about to growth spurt and have chunkier areas/started being more active? These might all upset the balance of the nappy shape.

Strangelk could they need a strip wash? my dd was out peeing everything at that age, worked out she was trying to walk so they would end up sitting funny with the steps she took.

Oooh Sarah, we are doing lots of cruising here and have just started trying to stand and walk independently but at this stage there's lots of falling on our bum - LOL. I think maybe that IS it. I already did a strip wash and that doesn't seem to solve the problem and it's different nappies each time, not the same naughty nappy. Hmmmm - might just have to persist. DH had a good idea, just to put a PUL cover over every single nappy when we are out so that if it does leak a bit, it doesn't mean a full clothes change. Not ideal from a breathability point of view, but not bad for a few hours while we do groceries etc.

    Thanks ladies

A double cover isn't a bad idea out and about at all. Maybe try a fleece one instead for breathability? I have in the past put Maz covers over during outings if it was a bit cooler. DD was actually getting red marks inside the tops of her thighs for a few weeks from such heavy heavy wees and flooding out of nappies. She went super bean pole like for a while so nappies were hit and miss around the leg holes too. All legs like her mum

Elk - if you double cover, I love the Tots Bots fleece covers.

Don't y'all get toooo excited about my knicker making shenanigans. There is a good chance they will suck. I have the cutest minky for you though CL. I am a bit excited about it.

MNB - I'm stalking the postie for a WW. It's a medium, so hoping it fits.

We had a leak this morning O_o Bamboozle inside WeeHuggers. Wet through in two hours! Dunno if it's just me, but new Bamboozles seem less absorbent than the old ones.

WONB: ME Sandys in a Rikki cover. I love it when brands match up.

Umm, well, I do have a girl I'm wily, Jaki, I get what I want!

Just started packing our bags, we're off to Sydney on Thursday. Of course the nappies get packed first...

We have started solids here; yesterday I found potato skin in DD's nappy (post-digestion, she hadn't just stashed it) so looking forward to more new adventures with that!

WONB: Spunky Butts fitted and Rikki cover.

Audax: eww a potato skin?? That's gross! LOL!!! I am sure your undie making adventure will be awesome! Go travelling with cloth!! I did it while in Coffs and it was fine (except that my nanna's washing machine was broken so I had to go round to my aunty's! LOL)

are WW widdlewuns?? There was just 2 listed on the mcn page. I have seen a few go through there actually.

Sarah you still have to take a photo of the knights tail ruffles!

WOCB: Danube tutto... LOVE this print!!

Oh and no leaks with the pop-in with night booster and 2 normal boosters!! Might do it again tonight. Just need to get used to the smell!!

LOL! I occasionally open Pixie's morning poo nappy and say "Glad to see you ate some dinner last night my girl". Occasionally I swear she just inhales the carrots/broccoli/whatever else is on the plate whole. One of the women at playgroup thinks her child eats sand because every poo without fail has sand in it. I have also gone to strip Pixie's nappy at bathtime and found a full broccoli floret or a few bits of pasta etc. Those I don't doubt she'd save for later because they're amongst her favourite foods.

WOCB: NFI-I just grabbed first I could amongst her cold fueled grizzles. She's not happy tonight.
