They are stil comparable to decking a child out in sposies in price Nelle. I think a lot of manufacturers are making them using heavier quality materials too. The other part is just inflation because people really know about them now and the companies are aware people want them.

Yeah I suppose better quality materials would make sense, but surely with greater demand manufacturing costs would lower...? I'll have to stew on this some more. I know many US stores won't/aren't allowed to ship to Aus, so perhaps it's a 'supporting Aus stockists' sort of thing...

But you're right, it's worked out better than sposies in the past - I guess I'll try to remind myself of that when turfing the ones that are past their use by date...nappies lasting two boys, that's really not bad.

Our baby *may* have been hidden in the recycling bin at one stage I'm with you on price though - for some nappies, it's worth it, but for others (like Designer Bums) you pay big $$$ and then end up with a nappy that starts looking trashy very early in its poo catching career. You could replace elastic - you made a pin cushion! Surely it is but a hop step and a jump from there?

WONB: Bamboozle and Fleece Wrap. Dh is marvelling over how amazing fleeeece wraps are. Funny man.

Nah, they become greedy because they know there is demand. There are also the companies that get progressively shoddier with their manufacturing too!

I don't think I've made anything since that pin cushion!! Hahaha! I guess I could try to replace the elastic, and if it doesn't work, well I was thinking of turfing them anyway. I don't think the v.1's are PUL anyway.

I suppose CL, because BumG's really are quite good, they can justify the amount - I mean, if people are willing to pay that much, why not charge that much? I just don't know...
I mean - are the BumG's really that far superior to other osfm pockets? I can't find Haute's anywhere anymore, but my GK's were brilliant (not as trim at first!), and I'm seeing cheaper osfm pockets like Baby Kangas and Happy Heinys. Are they not as good?

Oh! BabyBeeHinds do a osfm pocket!? Is it good?

A lot of folk love the BBH multifit. I love the GKs. As a travel nappy, they have been brilliant. On a camping trip, we were at our stash's rock bottom, and stuffed one with Daddy's underwear until we could get the washing done. Also, in Melbourne, we stuffed one with a hotel room hand towel, which we rinsed out in the bath AND they fit a flat as an insert if you forget to take your snappies. (I would never do that ) I haven't tried a Happy Heiny's pocket, but I quite liked their little sherpa fitteds on a newborn bottom! I have a few Bonnibuns OSFM pockets that I just love.

I have to go and chase a rat. Ugh.

I'm waiting for my rep to get my BBH multifits to me. I have 2 V1 and 6 V2 incoming. No rush really because they're for new bub although if my Abby Gros keep leaking as badly as they do then I might have to use them on Pixie!

We had more wee in the potty last night. I was a smarty pants and put it in the lounge so it was RIGHT THERE if she needed it plus I think she's still tense on the actual toilet after the near fall. Pixie was watching Lady Gaga nappyless to air her bits and plonked herself on the potty when she needed to wee! It was quite awesome to watch because she basically did it on auto-pilot and didn't even take her eyes off the tele. I refuse to push though because I've seen negative results from that. A 4 year old still wears pull ups and only uses the toilet when he feels like it.

WOCB: Nothing, she's airing post sleep and potty is nearby if she needs it

ETA: Progress on the potty. 2 wees in 40 mins. She'll just go park on it and say "YAY" when she does something in it

i went a bought a thomas the tank potty that was on clearance at target this morning as DS has started to show signs that he is getting ready to potty train. yesterday he kept going into the toilet, especially when i was in there, and try to pull his pants down and would actually stand there whilst i tried to take his nappy off so he could sit on the toilet, but he freaks out if i put him on it hence the potty. i figure i would just do it "for fun" and if he actually uses it well then its a bonus! the potty i got you can use it as a toilet seat as well and a booster step if u pull it apart! it was $28 so i am not complaining about that!

Audax I have a couple of ecobubs pockets (that need extra boosting for my wee machine), about 4 BBH bamboo fitteds that haven't seen the light of day for a loooong time (should get around to selling them), a Bubba Moo sized, a couple of sized IBs, a tutto, a GK pocket, a BB Candie, a couple of Bum Cheeks embroidered pockets, 3 very average MonkeyDoodlez AIO (that are only for the hour between bath and bed), and Issy Bear Night nappy (that I use during the day and is awesome) oh and 3 ebay cheapies.

I'm over stuffing pockets that's for sure. Have tried a DFM and that was useless on Nate, same as a WW, both only lasted an hour. I know others love them, they just didn't work for us.
Not a fan of cotton outers or velcro.

    What can you suggest?
Oh and is the spunkybutts chic still making nappies?

WMM: Nope, only paid tonight... she is still trying to digitize an image for my 3rd one. Has she made yours yet?

Went to the expo today and Itti SIO's were $16 or 2 for $30 (discontinued colours only) so I thought I would give them one more try! I got a jade medium, if it doesn't work, my friend is going to buy it off me. When I first bought the SIO's she was smaller so they didn't fit right, now she is bigger hoping they fit!

Still waiting on our Disana covers!! The royal mail website is saying it has been passed over to Aust post to deliver but god knows how long that is going to take!! what was the point of paying $5GBP more for tracking if it only tracks until it gets to australia?! Boo... Hope they get here soon!! I love my PUL covers but would love something more breathable!

WOCB: Boo and BBH pul cover...

Entering into the world off cloth here, i always used sposies in sydney due to having no outside line and a tiny unit. We are still in hospital but are leaving this afternoon. I have lots of second hand cloth nappies and heaps of terry flats.

Wohb. Terry flat and a bub cover
