Hi ladies
Wondering if i can join your thread. Im a brand new mummy and love fluffy bums! Ive got a small stash of MCNs but only 2 that fit DD at the mo as she is still weenie. I'm using terry flats duringnthe day and disposables at night and if we go out. She is putting on weight quickly so ibshould be able to start putting her in the bambooties and BBH i have soon!
My plan is to use what i have and then add to my stash once i know whst does and doesnt work for us. I fear i might end up with an epic stash as i look at nappies ALL the time!
Welcome dantri, to the wonderful world of mcn.
WOWB: nothing at the second, he's in the bath, but will soon be a bbh bamboo fitted and pul cover.

I'm braving it and taking cloth to my Mum's next week. Should be interesting to see what she thinks. She has foster babies and sposies all the way.
WOHB: BBH bamboo with Maz pre fold and BBH PUL cover
yay for braving it. my mums curious because she used terry flats on all of us and wants to learn mcns.
im being brave on a few things next weekend. taking dd on her first holiday, going down the coast with my girlfriends. lots of sister help (and they are all midwives) but yea will be taking cloth down there. eek

My Mum loves that i use cloth! She likes showing the nappies to people too. With the first grandkids, she was amazed they had coloured terry flats around, so mcns are very exciting.
my mum was amazed about dry pailing. she was going on about it to her friend and her friend was like what? no milton or anything. mum said there is something special in the flats now (like the material) that means you dont have to soak them. (i didnt disagree with her cause i dont actually know and didnt want to tell her she did all thst soakung and podsible bleeching etc for nothing)

My mum and MIL are the same - both fascinated at how cute and adorable DS's nappies are (mum's not too keen on the Pies nappy though) and think it's awesome that we're using them. Mum actually rather hates disposables as SIL tends to leave them on a bit too long so they go manky. She says at least with cloth bub knows they're wet and will grumble until you change them![]()
Just coming in to say
WOWB - bright yellow ecobubs pocket
(and it fits under the onesie he's in today)

My mum loves that I want to use cloth but thinks MCNs are weird and not as good as terry flats. Blah blah blah. She does the whole "well I don't know how they're supposed to work" thing when washing, taking off or putting on. It's funny. The only two MCNS I have that it DD are itti bittis and how easy are they? The snaps are colour coded!! I reckon she'll come around though when she sees how adorable (and more absorbent) MCNs are.

My mum rocks itti bittis. But I only take terry flats to my MILs, she is a chronic soaker/dryer-user when I'm not looking. And baby-powderer. Boooooo.
Speaking of terry flats, DD has started to hate them. Even if she can't see that I've got one, she screams as soon as it's on. Even with a liner. Weird.
We just got back from our two week holiday - flew to Sydney then drove back to Brissie with mum. Clothed it all the way and only left one nappy in a friend's handbasin. Whoops. Thank heavens she's a midwife. Whose kids' nappies I changed when they were little. And lucky I have a huge stash.
Jen - you can come wash at my house if your mum freaks outMum just bought me three new clothes airers so I can dry in my sunroom. I'm loving it.
WONB: bitti boo + fleece cover
well we are going away for the weekend. taking all my stash. wish us luck!

GL, Teirae! Cloth going fine here at Mum's.
Oh I am SO excited. I ordered some BBH on sale and wasn't expecting them until next week but went to the post office yesterday and they were there PLUS a large surprise parcel from DHs aunty and (adult) cousins up north .... Filled with beautiful ones and twos nappies and boosters. So on the trip back I'm ripping open parcels and our car was filled with about 20 nappies lol. DH was just laughing at me and said he never knew nappies could make a woman so happy lol. Washing them today and hoping they miiiggghhht fit DD otherwise we will have to wait till she puts on a bit more kgs. I'm do impatient though! Terry flats are boring when you have pretty MCNs every colour of the rainbow sitting waiting to have a bum in them.
Keep shining sun, you got fluffies to dry!
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
