For DD:
We use baby beehinds bamboo nappy (snaps) with either her longies or a soaker over the top of it. Doesn't leak through because of the woollen cover but the nappy is VERY wet by the time she wakes up. (She sleeps through - bout 12/13 hours in her nappy)
BUT for DS - he is a HUGE wetter (like your elephant wee-er) especially his big morning flood he does as soon as he wakes up.
So the Baby Beehinds only JUST do it for him, and thats with another booster on the outside of the nappy.
So I've got definite night nappies for him - Good night sleep tight and Snoozywuns. I also use Green Kids Minky times for him too - because its a pocket I can stuff it as much as I need to - plus his sister will be able to use them too cos its OSFA. The GNST and Snoozywuns are AI2's - which is better because they DRY quicker - I wouldn't use an AIO for nights for a couple of reasons, 1, take longer to dry so you have to buy more of them and 2, harder to boost if she goes through a really wet stage.
DD is going ok with the BB's at the moment - but if she starts outwetting them, she will go into the snoozywuns (velcro) cos the mediums start at 7kg. (7kg to 15kg so you get a LOT of use out of them)
