At this age I would say your velcro is possibly going to give you a nicer fit. But I haven't done a wee on in cloth yet. BUT Snaps are better because they are hard to undo when they start playing withthe tabs of the nappy.

I personally wouldn't use a AIO or AI2 for a night nappy. I think you would be much safer with a fitted & cover.
Im not a fan of BBH's but they seem to work for a lot of people.

I have Wildchilds as my night nappys & some fitteds that I make myself for when bubby is very small.

I would use a fitted and cover combo over an AIO if she is sleeping longer. Wildchild or BBH with an extra booster have worked well for C. I have a catnaps honeyboy but only just started using it as it is a large. Am happy with it so far but Cat has retired so you may not get one of them
Never given a thought about night nappies being velcro or snaps but I do prefer snaps in general as they don't snag in the wash and they keep nicer with age. Aslo when they get bigger they can't take them off as easy like FJ said

I am following this thread with interest because I have been using disposables at night too. Just thought I would add that for us there is not much diffence in velcro or snaps - I started with cloth when DS was 11 months and he took about 2 seconds to get the velcro nappy off and about 2.5 seconds for the snaps. He always wears a bodysuit to prevent nappy tampering.

My DD is nearly 5 months old. We use Baby Beehinds Bamboo, these are one size and snap, the snap she is on is slightly to big but we use the Baby Beehinds Wool Cover which is a platic velcro (the plastic velcro snags on the wool cover but not anything else, therefore does not ruin her nice nappies when I machine wash them together), this allows me to make it a bit tighter to make up for the in between snaps. DD sleeps 12-14 hours at night and the nappy is always soaked but it has NEVER wet through the wool cover. I only use the boosters that came with the nappy and they do me fine but there is plenty off room for extra boosting.

    Good Luck.

hehehe Leash, I just popped over to ask the same thing!! LOL!

Mel - I was considering GNST's for Khaemon - even with extra boosting, he wee'd through last night (can't remember what I had on him BUT Veygas had a swaddlebees with extra boosting and he made it to the morning - ONLY cause I forgot to consider night time nappies!! Khaemy ended up in a sposie! hehehe

I'll check out snoozywuns and wildchilds!

TBH, I thought I'd prefer snaps (on all of the nappies) but I'm finding the velcro ones alot better! ANd the velcro nappies I have (baby kanga, swaddlebees, bumG) all have a little tab on the inside so you can put the hook part of the velcro down on it when you wash ...

Thanks for this thread Leash! And thanks to ll the lovely ladies who have shared their experiences!
