    Why is this happening?

DS2 is in part time cloth at the moment. But everytime i put a cloth nappy on him his wee stinks and he gets aweful nappy rash. This doesn't happen with the sposies so i've no idea what's going on. It's never happened before, only for the last few months. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to stop it?

strip washing takes away urine, washing build up.

After a strip wash to hon...your nappies smell so clean and newish again

Also, my washing machine has nothing about a pre rinse. i can only wash then rinse. Is that ok?

    ohhh not good chicky

coudl be teething wee like Lu said

Id be interested to know if micro fibre is in any of the nappies or suede cloth. I cant use nappies with either of them on Tank because he breaks out bad.....especially if he's teething.

No, not teething. Plus in sposies it doesn't smell and he doesn't rash. But in the cloth omg its like pure ammonia being shoved up your nose kinda smell. And the rash is not only in the nappy area but also down his inner thighs. But the nappies have not leaked. There's no wetness on the outside of them.

He has never ever had a reaction in cloth before this, so i doubt its the fabric. But most of it is bamboo fleece and microfleece. Ive got none with microfibre cause i hate the feel of it and none with suede cloth. The one he rashed in this morning had minky on the inside.

    got no idea then hon
maybe there is something in the air when your drying them eg pollin, pesticides ect that have gotten onto them.
He might be allergic to something he's drinking or eating aswell???
As for never having a reaction to certain fabrics before hand doesnt matter either...kids change hon

This is so upsetting. (not sure why but i feel like crying over it! silly hormones) I dont want to keep him in sposies. Should i just cover him in nappy rash cream and keep using them?
