DD was the same. We tried Infants Friend.. made no difference but also gave her very horrible poos. Colic Relief helped a little but we still had the odd problems. Once she turned 1 month old we used the Infacol and have been using it every bottle since. It has worked wonders for her and since the day we gave it to her she has slept through EVERY night from 9.30pm until 7-8am. She never cries anymore unless shes hungry. So i think different things work for different babies.
A little warm water also can help.
