My DD 1st 2 teeth came through at 4 months old. A few weeks before they popped through she had all the teething symptoms but I thought no way..till they came through lol.
Just wondering what age everyone else's bubs started teething?
My little man has started dribbling lots and today has been really unsettled and clingy. He isn't finishing his bottles and is crying when he comes off them, which is very unlike him.. his cheeks are a little bit red and when i stick my little finger in his mouth he stops crying and chomps away like crazy, could this be teething? He is only a little over 14 weeks old......

DS started teething with the smelly wee and poo and the dribbling, and the red cheeks... at around 12 weeks... Teeth didn't come through until about 24 weeks.
DD started teething at 3 months, with all those symptoms you have described. But didnt get her first tooth until about 7mths. the whole time she had those symptoms.
MJ started about the same time as your bubba...
She still has no teeth. Some days are better than others.
Somedays her face is red raw from the dribble and rubbing of cheeks.
Lately nights have become worse for her, so i am hoping for her sake they are coming soon.
Sounds like the teeth are starting to move in Rileys mouth
Poor Bubba's.... It horrible that it has to be so hard for them... I was just doing some research on the net about teething and came across a site that said that babies do not get irritable when teething and also do not feel pain....![]()
DS was showing igns from at least 12 weeks but I thought a lot was developmental too - fingers in mouth, dribbling lots. We got our first tooth at 12 weeks. Good Luck
first tooth at just in 3 1/2mths
Started symptoms at 4 months and finally got first two at 7 months.
bloody oath those 3 months took forever...![]()
Sorry, but IMO whoever decided this didn't have teething children!!!!!
DD1 - I had no clue til she grinned at me one day & there was a tooth there. But by the time she was getting her molars her poor little bum was blistered from the nappy rash & diarrhea though. (She was just walking & would take off every time I tried to change her nappy, so I couldn't get it off asap.)
DD2 got her first at 5.5 months, but I only really remember her being unsettled for a day or 2 before.
DS has been a bad dribbler since birth. It's not nearly as bad now. He had his first night of screaming with bright red cheeks at about 4.5 months.
Then nothing til a few weeks ago. They are moving around. Red cheeks, irritable, diarrhea, chewing. All of it & STILL no teeth!
Poor bubba, I hope they come through soon.
BTW - You will also get told they will not get fever, diarrhea or nappy rash from teething. They get them all. The nappy rash is coz their wee produces more ammonia while teething, that reacts to the diarrhea some how & burns their poor little bottoms.
The diarrhea smells really bad & it can cause really bad nappy rash, so be prepared.
every child is different we were one of the lucky few who had no symptoms at all, except jack would get sleepy and then next day out popped a tooth as simple as that, the only problems we have had were his eye teeth the front had been thru for months then behind the tooth the gum broke open revealing the back of tooth we resorted to panadol for those few days, he has 3 of his 2nd year molars and again nothing no fever, nappy rash or runny poosBTW - You will also get told they will not get fever, diarrhea or nappy rash from teething. Yeah, sorry. Not every baby gets all those symptoms, just wanted to warn you that they can get any of those & it can be related to teething.
DS was 5 months when his two bottom teeth started cutting through. Now at 7 1/2 months his top two are coming through - the fang ones. Wondering why the middle ones on top have not started first. Has anyone had this with their bub?
Thanks
