Actually, there's 8 incisors, and they are the ones that erupt first. Generally speaking, the two lower front ones come first, then the two upper front, then the side upper and the side lower ones. Usually the first molars will erupt after that, but yes, sometimes the canines will come through beforehand. Teeth can come in any order (cross cutting), and there's nothing you can do about it, and no reason to be concerned
