    Soy milk for reflux baby?

Hi Im not sure if my bub has silent reflux or reflux. He cries through feeds and kicks arms and legs, goes red in the face and arches his back but he doesnt seem to throw up that much and when he does its just a little bit, looks like cottage cheese...eeewww
Anyway Has anyone heard if soy milk helps them? he is on Nestle Nan at the moment.
He is on Zoton at the moment as well.

    Hi

My little DS was advised by a specialist and lactation consultant to switch from cows based formula to goats... Karicare have a good goats forumla.. it made a slight difference in that he wouldn't cry after each feed when he wwas trying to burp. I wasn't advised to switch to soy... you may want to check with your GP.

As I understand it, soy isn't best/recommended for boys, as it has an ingredient which mimics oestrogen.

Hi I am late on this one, but if Nan isn't working, then soy probably isn't a good idea. A lot of refluxers have a hard time digesting large proteins, like cows milk and soy.

How is your little one doing now?

Well I tried Lactose free milk but it was slightly thicker and my boy wont have anything thicker than what he has now. So I stuck with the nan. The reflux seems to have gone but he is very gasy. Everytime he passes wind, he screams. Not sure how I can fix this. I have tried Brauers, and trying Infants friend at the moment but still not sure if it is the formula that is causing this...
