Dear JellyBean
Thank you for posting this excellent article for everyone. it is exactly what I am finding in clinic that 95% of babies who come in with reflux/ colic have been born by caesarian or the mother has had to take antibiotics at some stage eg for mastitis and so the baby does not get the good bacteria in their gut which is so necessary for proper digestion and also their immunity. Once their flora is out of balance it is easy for their gut to become 'leaky' and let certain foods across which can then also lead to an allergic reaction such as eczema.
There are some excellent probiotics available now for babies right form new born so if you need any help with choosing the right one please email me on jocelynmking@gmail.com for advice. So for all you mums out there who have undergone a caesarian or had mastitis please please take probiotics for yourself and for your newborn they are absolutely vital for health.
